  • For many of us, 2021 has been a challenging year. Despite the hardships experienced, the Armor & Cavalry Collection perservered and continued the titanic move of historic armor pieces to our new facility, the "Tankodrome". This video captures the action, with the first images showing our starting point the first week of Janury 2021 to the final efforts the week of Christmas 2021.
    All of these efforts were made possible by the support and teamwork of entities here at Fort Benning, the U.S. Army Center of Military History, and the U.S. Army at large. Most importantly, we wish to recognize the work of volunteers who helped in the "boots on the ground" efforts. They represent civilians, military retirees, and active duty personnel from all ranks from Privates to Captains and even different branches. We thank them for their fantastic work in preserving the legacy and history of the Armor Branch.
    We look forward to further progress (and additions to the Armor Collection) in 2022!

    When it’s completed and open to the public, this will be one of the greatest museums in history. Amazing work.

    Keep up the great work NACC and keep those vehicles safe for years to come

    This is looking amazing. Whenever that M22 locust is complete I think it would be neet to put it close the the t28 and US heavy tanks, to see the size difference.

    Hey armor and calvary collection if you have any Sherman 105 turrets lying about try putting them on m6 heavy tank chassis then you can make a wedge formation with them with the t95/t28 super heavy at the front of the formation in a parade

    Do you have any plans to remove the Ausf G turret from it?

    How could they cut the sides of the tanks? it's terrible.

    • @MONTANI12
      @MONTANI12 Год назад

      if they didn't the army would have scrapped them after the war, the only reason why is because service men said they could be studied after the war for the next generation of designers, hence they needed to cut em to convince them to preserve it for study
