    This is a very detailed review. I really need reviews like yours to be able to choose the best exhaust. Thank you Brain.

    Perfect review thanks man! I was wondering if it would still sound good with the baffles and seems like it!

    Sound of the exhaust is like music to my ears. Because I used to live in a mountainous area before & it's always been these exhaust noises coming from scamblers.

    I'm not sure how reliable a db meter app on a smartphone is, but it's good to see the levels in comparison (even if, perhaps, in absolute numbers the measurements aren't accurate) ; my Gen1 Diavel with full Termi (both baffles in) was recorded at 119.9db by official equipment at the race track... got kicked off the track, of course :(

    • @MotorcyclingwithBrian

      Baffles in and to loud 😲 Yeah it was more for comparison then accuracy because how else would you how much louder it is by video.

    Good detailed video, I came here looking for exhaust for my scrambler 800 but got interested in luggage rack and top box. How is your experience with luggage rack and top box, and which brand are you using?

    Good vid! Is there a chance the bolt can drop in to exhaust when removing or adding the baffles?

    Hey there, what's the size of the top case? And what mount are you using monokey, monolock?

    You've done a really good comparison but I have mixed feelings about the result. The tone of the unbaffled pipes is way nicer than stock or with baffles but yeah, way too loud. People don't realize how fatiguing, (and annoying to others), pipes that loud are.
    Did you consider another system that would give that deeper tone without being so loud?

    Did you remap the ECU? Did you install the Little optional catalyzer by Akrapovic? (Product name P-KAT-043-E4)
    Thanks in advance for the reply

    Akrapovic sounds pretty sweet, both with baffles in and out. You find any difference in power delivery btw? Also wondering about turning clearance. If you corner aggressively with the OEM muffler, it's easy touch it down and scrape. Does the Akrapovic have any more turning clearance than the OEM? Or less? (though I imagine more as it looks less "chunky.")

      Hi, it’s been awhile since the the install, but I felt a bit more power, not a lot, I need a tuner to take full advantage of the air flow. Tuner might be required with baffles out based on seat of the pants feel. As far as clearance go there’s no way to drag those pipes without crashing 😬 happy riding 👍

    Hello, have you had changes in your gasoline consumption, with the akrapovick tip, have you had to do any re-programming?

  • @joeprice3575
    @joeprice3575 7 лет назад +2

    So you can remove and install the baffles with the exhaust on?

    • @MotorcyclingwithBrian
      @MotorcyclingwithBrian  7 лет назад +2

      There's an Allen head screw that holds them in. If you're lucky they pull right out. I was only half lucky had to pull off the muffler to knock one out. It was a bit of movie magic for the video, I rode there with them out then pushed them in for the video.😁

    Does it burble and crackle with baffles in still ?

    Baffles in sounds like at least you're trying to be good. How is it going to sound after 45-60 minuted of riding?

      I wouldn’t recommend it. One of mine fell out on the way home. The screws are kinda hard to get too without removing

    Hi bro i am thinking to go for this bike. As i have interest in touring. Please suggest me. If its a right decision or not.

    • @MotorcyclingwithBrian
      @MotorcyclingwithBrian  6 лет назад

      Hi, this a awesome city bike and back road bike, but if touring at highway speeds for hours at a time you might not like it. Touring bikes are usually heavy with wind protection. Just my opinion bro.

    Did it require any remap of the ECU? Anything additional that needs to be done along with installing the slip-on.

    • @MotorcyclingwithBrian

      +ashish kumar from what I’ve read there’s no remap needed.

      joe price exactly. There is a lot of different opinions around this. Hence I am not able to take a final call for the exhaust as yet. Whether I should stick to the termi or should I look at other options as well.

    Aint no way its nearly 120 decibel
    That would be about as loud as a plane taking off
    But im not saying its fake i just thinks its a bit too loud
