    Hi mate, great video. I'm wanting to make up a cable using the CP2102 board to program a Simoco SRM9025. From what i understand from your video is that the voltage supplied from the usb will operate the CP2102 board. Is it a case of turning on the radio and removing the hand piece to plug in the cable?
    Cheers

    Unfortunately, this variant does not work on my Motorola CP040. Would you have an idea synonymous for older models? But a good Vid!

    Hi brill vid ,would this be the same for the GD77 both my baofeng cables(chipped & plug& play cables will not work with with the radioddity. thanks Andy.

      Hi Andrew, the cable cord the gd77 doe not have any electronics in the cable. The interface cable is in the radio itself.
      This article explains how the cable is wired. You could in theory take one of your bafeng leads, cut the usb plug off but leave some cable on so it can be resused.
      Then using a continuity meter work it what pin goes to what colour. Using the article below match the pin on the radio to the usb pin. For the usb end take an old usb cable and connect the radio lead to the usb cable. I hope that makes a bit of sense.

    Hey buddy, it work with Entel HT 582? Thanks in advance

    • @G7OEA
      @G7OEA  3 года назад

      I a way yes. The whole idea is that the usb to 9pon is a constant youbthen buils what we've lead you want on the other end. I've had a look around for the entel ht582. They use an odd circular plug. But all is not lostitbis possible to make your own lead by reverse engineering. I had a look at this site www.pmctelecom.co.uk/entel-ht-series-programming-cable-eprog-ht-new/?amp=1
      And there is a high quality photo of the programming lead. More importantly the pins required. You need tx rx and ground. Ground should net be hard to identify after that isbis trial and error as to which pin is rx and which is tx.
      If you have a look for pogo pins such as these
      www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FQ52W88/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_ZTAA6D594TNDM7CNEWNG
      And a bit of very board or perf board you should be able to make a connector. Solder a wire on the know ground pin then slofer onto the other two pins. If it does notbwork swap tx and rx.
      Hope that helps. This is off the top of my head.

    How wood I wire it to work on a Tait tm8200

    • @G7OEA
      @G7OEA  7 лет назад

      Jeffrey Haswell you would need to make a cable to go from the 9 pin male socket that then terminates in what ever connector is on the tait.
      One thing to be careful of is some kit is designed to run at RS232 levels or 12v and some at TTL levels i.e. 5v. This lead is for TTL.

    It is rj45 plug to usb but wood like to no how to wire the rj45 plug

    • @G7OEA
      @G7OEA  7 лет назад

      Jeffrey Haswell have a look at
      goo.gl/images/1SbjN1
      You want to connect to pins 3,6 and 7. Make sure your usb to TTL is rated at 3.3v otherwise you risk damaging the rig.
