Long John Baldry, I absolutely love this album ! Funny you mentioned Elton John and Rod Stewart as each of them produced one side of the record. Elton John even gave him "Rock Me When He's Gone", the Elton version was on the last "Madman Across The Water" box set. And there's also a cool cover of "Black Girl" (aka "Where Did You Sleep Last Night") with the fantastic singer Maggie Bell

Yeah, usually someone died. They're selling everything in the house. It's usually done by a professional estate sale company. High prices for the first days of the sale (but less than full retail price)...and then half price for the last day of the sale. Often blow out prices at the end of the last day.

One can always count on fantastic soundtracks or comp album soundtracks from Tarantino. In fact, 'Pulp Fiction' got me hooked on instrumental surf music from the 1960's and Tarantino is a huge fan of Ennio Morricone, so he used his music in various movies and even hired him to create new music (as well as use earlier Morricone music) in 'The Hateful Eight'. :)

Not sure if I mentioned, but I wrote a letter to Seward Alaska and got a response from Seward Nebraska instead! It was wild. Haven't found too many records, but I got a Svengoolie shirt for 2 bucks I couldn't pass.

Can be. Lots of times though i find records with worn covers but great vinyl...like in this instance. I usually check better, but this time i was pressed for time.
Nice pickups at the first place, just the covers didn't seem that great, but you can't go wrong with JA, BB King,Cream etc. The first record store in Lincoln looked pretty good and fair pricing. I wonder if Salvation Army sells any records at their high prices on records that are hard to give away.

Glad that those records were in better condition than those covers! ...I hear the Phantom playing now! ...Open a record store and they will come! ...Wow, super high record prices for a Starvation Army store - they gotta be crazy - and multiple price stickers plastered all over the front covers as well - yikes! ... The albums in that last thrift store you visited in Albion were just about the strangest (ie: worst!) I've seen in ages - backwoods country and religious people always look and dress so bizarre like the wierdos you see in those old horror movies. Check out those 2 creepy guys @42:59! Good grief! ...Anyway the record store purchases were nice! Was that Crow record you found in the megalopolis of Scribner signed?
Crow was not autographed...or, as i say, it's autographed by a previous owner! Yeah, those old religious records...their hairdos and polyester suits! I always try to zoom in on them when filming! 🤣😂🤣

It's not smart to buy dollar records and not look at the condition of the discs. The worn covers are a hint at whats inside.
