Dear Robbie, the main reason I love watching is you have a budget and stress over spending money which a lot of us do!! Makes you very relatable. But with a budget you still have a beautiful garden and I think that is what we all strive for!

Robbie you never have to explain your purchases to a fellow gardener, I think MOST of us have plant lust ? Some of us have to wait a little longer to buy everything we would like, but when you find something or things you really really like you need to get them before they’re gone because in my experience once they’re gone you can never find them back again. At least that’s my excuse to myself. 😂💐💚🙃

OMG Robbie, I totally get it! I don't go on vacations, highlight my hair, go out to eat, or buy new clothes or shoes, all my money goes into my garden. But it's a life choice I've made and I live simple but super blessed and happy sharing my garden with all my neighbors and people who pass by and see it. I feel like god blesses me with everything I need and I'm so grateful! A lady who walks by my garden jumped out of the car today and asked if she could donate to my garden and blessed me with a $10 bill. Wow! god is great!!! Is'nt it funny when you come home with plants, you feel like you need to hide.? I always get that response, "More plants? or Don't you have enough plants?" ugggh, they just don't understand!!! You never have enough plants!!!!!🤣 But anyways, it was fun watching you buy all those beautiful plants today. I wish we had nice plants in Hawaii. Nothing nice. Can't even get Proven winners or Monrovia plants! So sad! But I guess it's for the best, I'd probably go bankrupt. Til next time!!!

I think we all are the same. We spend our money on plants. I wear grunge clothes as I am always in the garden and dirty AF. All my $ goes to soil, plants, containers fertilizers and more plants. haha......love it Robbie.

One of the things that made me hit the subscribe was your transparent, direct and down to earth approach to presenting gardening especially sharing how much money and work what we see actually takes. It really sets you apart from other creators and is super practical. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has used your project budgets and costs to at least ballpark plan ahead for my own gardening. Excuse me Mr. I don’t go on vacations!!! I feel that 100%, however I go on vacations. My most visited destination is the pond garden then after that we enjoy quiet strolls around the vegetable garden where not only do we feed our soul but the pollinators love the brick flower beds around the garden. We take these vacations at least weekly. 😉
You make me smile. Thats exactly what I tell people, I don’t go on trips or vacation so spending part of my budget on garden items brings me the same joy they get when vacationing, etc. Great choice of plants! And pots!

Always enjoy shopping for plants...it's my excuse to buy at least 1 whenever I have to go $$ grocery shopping. I 💚 my black petunias. I surround these with other bright color petunias and greens. No excuses needed, everyone has their must buys...and ours are 🌹🌿🌱

Good morning Robbie. Those are gorgeous plants that you purchased. I feel that if you have a budget for the plants for the garden then don't stress about it. You are here to give us viewers the inspiration for our garden and you stated that you are trying to expand this into your business. Plus a lot of your plants are sent to you by Monrovia. You are not telling everybody to go and spend all the plants you have. If I want to have some of those plants then I spread it out over several years. It is not a bad thing and I have to see every season what and where can I plant my plants that I purchase. You are one amazing gardener and have a wonderful day.
Oh Robbie! That a was such a fun plant shopping trip. I stress over whaat I spend for plants sometimes until I get them all planted and it looks so amazing and I feel I'm doing the earth a favor by refurbishing my little part of it. And don't we all wish we could "save $90" by finding a bogo on those awesome pots?!? You don't have to justify spending that money to many of us because we are all in the same boat. Excited to see where you plant it all. This is the first year I haven't gotten those awesome black petunias for my yard and I'm missing them. Glad to see you are going to have them in your garden. I’m a retired accountant and I don’t think you should have to justify your purchases. It’s not really anyone else’s business and you know what makes sense for your budget. I’m glad you were able to get those pots, it’s a great savings. I see buying plants as making an investment in my home. Granted, annuals only last a year, but they make such an impact and fill holes in my garden for a season, so I add them to my budget.

When building or remodeling a house they always add a percentage for unexpected costs. Using plant math, $300 - 20% =$240 - $90 for free pot = $150 - $ for gas saved since you were near by ----- they were practically free!!!! 😄

Thank you for showing us High-Hand Nursery. Husband took me out (2 hr 20 min drive) so I could get some unique indoor plants for a large planter in our Primary Bedroom. Needed all the plants to be low/same maintenance so they would survive together. Woman at counter was very knowledgeable in making suggestions for my trio of plants as she had personal experience with most of the. plants. My big planter looks great now and I dumped the large. (picky) aloe plant that was in it and not practical (babies already growing in side yard under a Royal Blue Iochroma Cyanea from another favorite nursery "Annies Annuals". Made this trip out as had to make a second trip out to pick up the. rest of a fountain we could not fit. in our car from Pottery World (also from one of your videos)!

I bought two trees this spring and spent $400 ....I also decided that I wanted more perennials in my garden so I would spend less every year....we all know that's not going to happen lol

Hi Robbie, Lisa from NY here. I met you at the Winters POP UP. I few into Sacramento and stayed with family for 10 days in Granite Bay. They took me to High Hand for lunch ( had the fish tacos!) Food is so good and it's a beautiful place, I got to do so may cool things while I was there. Anyways, just saying Hi! It was so nice to meet you and see familiar faces that day.
