    Thanks for the demo. Looked like you may have been using a hammer to remove/replace hinge pins. May I recommend a spring hinge pin remover? They're cheap and super convenient.

      Have you tried any of the other types, like the powermate? I'm definitely going to get one, debating on the escalera type, vs the powermate which is a different mechanism

    Nice for a straight shot. What you gonna do when the stairs have a 90 degree turn at the bottom?

    how do you keep from breaking wood stairs when using a stairclimber? i've contacted multiple places to move a safe and they all say the stairs will be damaged.

    • @mjkpanda
      @mjkpanda 2 года назад

      It's not the best to keep a super heavy safe upstairs, in case of a fire and it falls on the firefighters. Maybe look at a powermate stair climber, it's a different type of movement. Or make a ramp to the top and winch it up. Did you find a way to do it yet? Just curious

      You need a spotter on the bottom though and a set of hands to adjust the safe.
      As long as that thing is fastened securely and the guy running the controls knows what he's doing and goes slow, you're good.

    That's awesome; however, it is even more challenging for robots to defy gravity going upstairs. Can it handle it? No mention was given to that. Always easier for a heavy object to go down, rather than up. Gravity is a bitch.

      actually going up is easier down going down using Eacalera

      Going down would be the tough part. Gravity is a bitch. It wants that weight closer to it. Love the video.

      going up is easy, since you re pulling up all the time, going down is dangerous since you can just roll off a step, they sell an a brake system for going down but i did not see it being used here, not sure why not
