The kiss scene in the book is way more meaningful, more private, and less rushed. I personally liked more the book's kiss scene, but still this is way too cute, I love it
@@NikiVaghela They kissed the day after. They got out of school at lunch, they went to a store to buy Oreos and milk in Bram's car, they stayed in the car to eat the Oreos and then they kissed
I have to admit that I cried during this segment in the movie!! First, I felt sad for Simon as he waited to see if Blue would show. Then, when Blue finally revealed himself, I cried again.
@Eme Me Love Simon. It reminds one of the John Hughes movies like Pretty in Pink. The only difference is that the main character is gay. It's based on the book Simon and the Homosapian Agenda. Well worth the watch. There will be times when you laugh, get angry, cry, cheer, want to slap 3 certain people upside their heads, cheer, cry and cheer again. Watching it several times is really worth it.
Yeah it was a bit disconcerting tbh, felt less like an intimate moment and more of a show...gay relationships are still relationships and shouldn't be treated like this I get the idea of the crowd being supportive but it would've felt much more emotional if it was private
Are you my sister😬😬 coz i liiike every gay person as long as they don't want change themselves like they are gay yes so they don't have to wear skirts dresses and make up to prove a point.
I have watched this movie with my mom, and when they kissed I literally started crying. My mom said “honey you have something to tell me?” I was like ??? I came out last year wtf mom
The way Simon answers Bram when he asks if he's disappointed literally makes me tear up every time. The way Nick was able to deliver that one syllable in such a heartfelt and sincere way is the surest sign of an amazing actor. His body language, his shy smirk and the softness in his voice just made for such a beatiful combination. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Story time! When i saw this movie in AMC, i had just came out a few months prior, and i was actually on a date with a guy (my ex now)... Me. Being A bi Female. When I heard about this movie of course I flipped out and told My Girlfriend. The day we went to watch it she proposed to me when it ended. Of course I said yes. Lmao
"You know where to find me, no pressure" He says. But then the entire damn school are looking at simon in his lonely ferris wheel seat waiting for blue and pitying simon. I don't know, but that seems like a lot of pressure to me.
oh gosh I hadn't see Bram either! btw in the book it's only the two of them when they meet...and this is not the actual end. read it if you have a chance, it's so great!❤️

This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie and it's not because of the kids. The moment Braham looks at Simon and ask if he was disappointed was just amazingly well done
I don't consider myself gay, but I found this to be so cute. I grew up with a family that looks down on gay people and makes fun of them. I always knew that was wrong and so this scene meant a lot to me. Seeing two people finally able to love each other, it got me on the brink of tears.
Simon/Nick is SOOO damn cute. When he smiles his face just beams. I didn't see it until I read somewhere that he gives off that James Franco (who I absolutely ADORE, btw) vibe, which he does--now that I think about it. But the entire time the movie played I couldn't get over the fact that he resembles Grant Show, especially when he smiles. Three sexy guys indeed.

I’m honestly surprised he wasn’t expelled, or at least fired from that play he, Simon, & Abby starred in. Since Martin was likely playing the lead role, the play would’ve been cancelled as there wouldn’t be enough time to recast his role & the new actor to rehearse enough. This could’ve given Abby another reason to hate Martin, on top of STALKING her & outing Simon.
I remember going to watch this with school. Everyone from year eight screamed when Bram appeared. Pretty sure people even cried. After that, I remember tons of people coming out. Best day of my life
Gosh, different times. My parents are still 50/50 with it, lack of a better way to describe it. I'm sure our parents believed in and did things that our grandparents disapproved and so did our grandparents. I'm just happy about the direction our society has gone about same sex love, or just "love".
I will never forget the experience of seeing this in the theatre. I’d yet to come out, so I went to see this alone. During a majority of the ending part, I was crying and trying to be quiet about it. I clapped when it finished with everyone else, and when the lights came up I looked next to me to see a guy staring back. We both had the same dumb smiles on our faces, tears in our eyes. He was older, maybe late 30’s early 40’s, and he was sat hand in hand with his partner. And it was so insane, that we’d connected on some level, utter strangers. Gave me hope that one day I’ll be sitting with the woman I love, watching some movie, giving hope to another closested girl or boy that they do have a future.
This came out (heh heh, "came out") on my birthday, so me and all my friends went to see it. At this point, I was still in the closet, but when Simon and Bram kissed, I started crying my eyes out (tears of joy obviously) and I am not joking when I say that the ENTIRE theater was clapping, cheering, and screaming. Even if I'm a female and the movie is about a gay guy, I was still so happy to see the LGBT community finally being represented in a film this way.
I was watching this in my living room on a wide screen TV and paused it every time my parents walked in the room bc I didn't want them to know I was watching a gay movie. I really did love Simon after watching Love, Simon. And like everyone else I cried during this scene. This movie is AMAZING! I LOVED every single part of the movie. I totally support people who are gay and bisexual. I actually am bisexual myself. Wish I could have that moment with a girl I like.
I really love this scene for a reason you wouldn't expect. The whole entire movie Bram or "blue" was afraid of coming out because he didn't want to be judged. And this scene isn't just him getting a bf it's also him coming out to the world. So when they pull away from their kiss you see the joy radiating of of him because there is a crowd of people cheering him on and excepting him and he realizes there was nothing to fear. And he also got a bf in doing so. 😭😁
I wish there were more films that made it about the love and not only the "coming out" BS. I have always been bisexual and people who knew me realized and never cared. Bisexuality is beautiful. Love is beautiful. This film made me smile a lot.
I just saw the movie for the first time last weekend. For me it’s one of he best movies, i could empathize evey minute in the movie. Whenever i watch it, it touchs my heart and makes me cry.
The conversation they have, when Bram first gets on the Ferris wheel, is so important. It answers some questions Simon has. It also has Bram truly admitting to himself, and others, that he's gay. At the top of the Ferris wheel, that conversation is important, as well. Bram wasn't sure if he met Simon's standards. Simon's answer was so important.
A watched Love, Victor season two and I was like, ah, Benji or Rahim or what? So I just came here, to appreciate this and see the purest love ever in any movie
Ohhh I love that show 'Love Victor' the characters are so good. I also loved the tween show from Disney Andi Mack with the gay jewish kid Cyrus who comes out at the end of the series.
Kinda funny how the actor who plays the guy who operates the Ferris wheel is on the walking dead and is the one that kills the actor who plays Martin who’s also on the walking dead
This movie... it is just so beautiful. It talks about love... pure love. I loved Simon. I loved how his parents and his friends showed that they would be there for him, no matter what. Everything was so sweet and touching. I loved every second of this movie. I simply and sincerely loved it. ♡
If only all young gay men could connect with that much support from their friends. I wish Simon had told Bram he had hoped it was him. And I'll say it. I loved that this couple was interracial. Love seeing black and white men together romantically. Loved that their relationship continued after high school in Love Victor.

Don't know why but whenever I watch this scene it makes me super happy 😊😊
I never get tire of watching this scene.
Love is a beautiful thing!
1:57 Benjamin: HERES ALL THE MONEY I HAVE JUST PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME IN THE HEAD
Jared: Ok
I love Abby. She's crying and tears of happiness for simon
Omg 😭❤️I loveee Simon and Bram, Bram's smile makes me melt everytime 😭❤️
this honestly makes me so happy
If only all young gay men could connect with that much support from their friends. I wish Simon had told Bram he had hoped it was him. And I'll say it. I loved that this couple was interracial. Love seeing black and white men together romantically. Loved that their relationship continued after high school in Love Victor.
