@@BlackacreDoe It’s nice. I love people who do really cool things. They’re pretty few, but you're definitely one of them!
I love it!!!
Thanks!
nice clothes☺
Thank you, I'm trying to become a style icon
11:00 Ooo you should also listen to the main guitar of Left Behind on RUclips. You can hear what Jim played differently on the record.
Yeah I have listened to the isolated tracks
@@BlackacreDoe Do you think you will revisit Left Behind or will you leave it?
I think I’m leaving Slipknot covers in general be to be honest. Unless there’s one I’m itching to do in the future, there’s no plans to do any more
Nice Czech camo.
1:33 always sounds like black sabbath iron man to me
I can hear it now
Could you do a lesson on welcome?
Eventually for sure
hey man, I'm a big fan of your work, I follow you on RUclips and just like you, I also really like Slipknot. Regarding the band Slipknot, mainly mick and jim, talking about harmony, the band's composition of guitar parts, riffs, solos and chords is a little difficult to understand, understand the tonality, the key of the songs. sometimes it seems to mix the tonality modes of the songs my question is: What are the modes and scales that Jim and Mick use most when composing Slipknot songs to assemble riffs, solos? what chord progression do they use the most?
First off, thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. Secondly, in my opinion trying to understand Slipknot stuff in a theoretical aspect is an exercise in futility. Jim has said in interviews that he doesn't know theory, and I doubt they sit down and try to play within the rules of music. That said, I talk a bit about it in my How To Solo Like Jim Root video that some of his best known solos are in Phrygian. He just has a great ear and knows what he likes, but doesn't know the theory behind it. Pretty much everything is fair game in a Slipknot song. If it sounds good, it sounds good.
@@BlackacreDoe oh yes, I understand I watched your video explaining how to solar, in addition to the Phrygian mode being very present in Slipknot songs and sometimes I have the impression that they use the Locrian mode and other minor modes as well as Harmonic minor, Melodic minor and the Aeolian mode. I think that in my opinion they mix the modes, as if borrowing it, you know but you're right it's quite complex if you stop to analyze the part behind Slipknot's song theory
@@BlackacreDoe thank you very much for your time and attention and availability for answering me
i ❤ u
Much love!
gehenna tutorial in the future?
After I learn it perhaps!
Thanks man, rhythm was pretty wonkey for me in the solo section. OH! And for another Iowa drop A song, when you can, would you consider New Abortion or Skin Ticket?
No problemo. Sure thing, I have lessons coming out soon for a few Drop A songs from The Gray Chapter as well.
@@BlackacreDoe Thanks again. For Vol. 3 (I forgot to mention) do you think we'll see The Blister Exists? I know it's simple enough but it's good
A lesson for it? I’m sure at some point
