Fully agree. Credit to Madge for sticking to his guns and playing his cards right. Freddie fell over trying to take part in a "dance" with Billy whereas Madge refused and decided to turn it into a proper slugfest

@@SlaintheMhath take it like this then if you will - Madge implemented the changes to the "formula" that were necessary for us to win. I never said Freddie wasn't a legend, he most definitely is that. I always thought, had Freddie of been so lucky to have the 2021 core group stay healthy, we likely would have seen a run of another 4 out of the next 5 series at least. It pained me because I really thought it was a turning of the tide and that it was time to impose our own decade of dominance. But for now, here's to Madge and this current crop who certainly have the pedigree to push for similar aspirations.

I love the NSW won that game up at Suncorp. It was a huge test for them and they actually put on a performance equivalent of the golden years for QLD. We saw that great QLD team hang tough until the final minutes so many times during that long run and win those tough games. It was awesome the see NSW get the job done. It must be said, QLD were missing a few key players in their middle third, so next year they'll be stronger. Hopefully NSW can keep the bulk of this team together and build that belief and culture within the new set-up.
