      He would be, but Embiid doesn't want to play hard. He's close in skill level, but Jokic's work ethic washes Embiid's. He avoids competitive teams and stronger players like Jokic because he doesn't want to give effort. Embiid also flops and refuses to use his size because he's scared to play hard. Jokic isn't weak minded like this, so he uses his size to make his skills more effective. I love Jokic and think he probably should've won that MVP Embiid had, but the only difference between the two is Embiid's weakness and unchecked bull.

    Good point by chuck (tho i disagree on that ‘it doesn’t matter), but he’s right that if something works doesn’t mean its successful. KAT shooting 3s are giving them points but they are wasting his talent, I feel like scoring will be more efficient if he use his height instead and utilize the rest of the team.

  • @Davivd2
    @Davivd2 13 дней назад +6

    I'm an old school guy. I grew up watching Chuck play and all the great back to the basket centers. He's wrong about KAT shooting 3's. If you have a good open 3 point shot, and you're a good shooter, you have to take the shot. I used to love post play. Now when I watch AD, who is one of, if not the only back to the basket players left in the NBA, I see how much it slows the game down. There isn't much room for anyone else to do anything other than shoot a spot up 3, and that's IF the pass can get to them, and give them enough time to shoot before being contested. I watch the Lakers get out paced by teams because they play slow post up play. AD went out late in the third against the Raptors in the last game and them team went on a run. AD was having a great game. But being able to speed the game up, move the ball around, it gets everyone else engaged and the defense has to be aware of all angles of attack, not just focus in on the one guy taking his time and cutting him off with a double team or making him take a a really tough shot. AD makes some great tough post shots, but when those shots don't go in, or he can't get a good shot off, that team has no other options in those post up situations. There is a lot of bullshit about modern NBA narrative. Being able to shoot and space the floor isn't bullshit. It's good for the game.

    Chuck is right. Any guy can shoot 3s. Not everyone can go inside like KAT. Use it! Wemby has a similar problem sometimes although he has curry range

      It's a weird point to make when going into tonight's game kat shooting 53% from 3. Last year he shot 41% from 3.

    • @Davivd2
      @Davivd2 13 дней назад +3

      I don't see it as take it inside or shoot the 3. It's all about shot selection. There was 2 seconds on the clock, the guy guarding him was a foot shorter than him, he's one of the best shooters in the game. There is literally NO reality that shooting the 3 in that situation is a bad shot.. Turning around, taking 5 to 7 seconds to back the guy into the post from the 3 point line, even if there was more time on the clock to do it, now a double team comes over. Maybe you make the pass and get it to a wide open shooter. Hopefully that guys as good a shooter as KAT, hopefully the defense doesn't close out on him and block his shot or rush him into taking a bad contested 3 point shot. I'm not against playing in the post. I'm against forcing post shots in ways that kills the offense, just like I'm against forcing up bad contested 3's in order to say you're a volume shooter. Move the ball around, draw the defense out of position, then Kat can get an open 3, a lob in the dunker spot, or slide into the post for a quick pass and he scores. But this forcing the ball into the post and killing the pace of the game just because the guy guarding you is smaller is out dated and as an old school NBA fan, I can admit that and admit that the game is better with modern ball movement. There is a lot of modern NBA bullshit today. But that isn't part of it.

      Yeah Charles got caught making a weak point and tried to word salad his way out of it. KAT is a 54% 3-pt shooter rn, so a good defender like Jrue is absolutely not gonna be happy if he gives Towns an easy look from the line

      He’s saying that it works for now but down the road you can’t bank success on it. When that jumpshot isn’t hitting one game and he keeps shooting like it was then he will shoot then out the game

    • @rohanshah7559
      @rohanshah7559 13 дней назад

      @shootthejay7002 yeah but doesn’t that apply to any shooter? If your best shooter suddenly goes cold, then you’re likely to lose. That’s how it was for the rockets in the finals. Brunson has shot the Knicks out of games before, but he just comes back and has a good shooting night the next game. That’s just life
