I'm hoping that the scene with Galbatorix and the battle outside is handled much like Return of the Jedi Throne Room/Space Battle/Shield Generator balance. You are right and I too hope they don't INJECT action into the Throne Room scene. Galbatorix's pontification in this scene about how he sees himself as this grand savior of the world from the dangers of magicians, etc actually sells him sooooo well as a compelling villian.

Roran is a great character and I love that he still wanted to direct everything
Eragon's growth throughout the series has been great to see and that felt confident in standing up to Orrin and Nasuada for himself and what he believes is correct. I also like that it was him who thought of the idea to add the dwards and Urgals to the Riders spell, he's trying to be fair to all the different groups
I understand and like Nasuada's plan for a group of magicians that would travel and resolve issues (similar to the riders) but I don't think that magicians should be bound by oaths. That's too much like what Galbatorix wanted to do. I also like the idea that people should be offered training on how to sheild and protect their throughts and minds. My understanding was that anyone can learn that without magic
I started reading Eragon because of a Girl ^^
Is it the best Fantasy Series ? No...
Does it take extreme inspirations from other Stories ? yeah...
Did I have fun reading it ? Absolutely !

We kinda know when the first new dragon will hatch from the fork the witch and the worm, whe are not sure who’s gonna be the rider, blöthgarm and ästrith are there, but it could be someone else, or even a wild one without a rider. Or did i get something wrong?
Most of the logistical problems of moving pre modern armies was because of difficulties with undeveloped terrain. Moving through developed areas by marching on roads tremendously increases speed the speed of both the army and its supply train.
