Thanks for this review! It has been my quest to find the perfect waterproof mascara. I used Heroine Make for a long time because for years that was the only one you could find in the States but I agree it makes your lashes look spidery and feel crunchy. Now I use a Japanese brand called Leanani - volume and curl mascara and it's much better. Just as waterproof but the brush is fuller so the formula goes on more evenly. I recently went to Seoul and bought the Peripera, Etude House and Clio Kill Lash mascaras so can't wait to test them! I have used the Clio Kill eyeliner and it is 🔥
I love asian brand mascaras because their wands are small and since I have small and hooded eyes, they're just perfect. I only tried the heroine makeover one, but I'm tempted to try out the CLIO one.
Tried it finally .. Love it. It definitely holds a curl. It is not as goopy as the heroin make one. I would say it's a little bit lighter and more natural unless you build it up. But it definitely works
It’s amazing how much of a difference mascara makes on any kind of eye shape! I can go without lipstick or blush. As long as I have my mascara on, POW! I’m awake and ready for the day. If I don’t have mascara,on, I never woke up.
I have hooded Asian eyes that push the first third of my lashes down and my lashes in general are super stubborn and straight. The etude lash fixer as a primer is a game changer-but only the clear one, I brought the black one because the clear one hardens and leaves a white residue, but it doesn’t have as strong of a hold. In addition, I’d suggest getting a heated eyelash curler. If you don’t, use a hair dryer but be careful when it comes to anything going close to your eye, test it with your hands or something first to make sure the temperature is safe. Lastly, for the mascara itself, I used the heroine mascara and it’s great, definitely gives you anime lashes, sadly my tube is running dry since it’s been almost a year. I will say the wand could be smaller for me because I end up getting some of it smudged around my eyes, and it’s more difficult to use it on my lower lashes because of the larger wand. I used rom&nd’s mascara, and I like it too, but it works best with a heated lash curler or else it will just weigh down my lashes. Innisfree skinny mascara is good for a natural look and I love the small wand so much. I’ve had my eye on the clio and etude mascaras.
Two minutes after watching this video, I had the Clio Kill Lash in my cart. Got it this week and it's been one of the best mascaras for holding a curl that I've used. I still have to re-curl later in the day, but my lashes are awful. They're super straight, hard to curl and almost impossible to hold a curl. I've used the Kiss Me Heroine and Etude Curl products in the past with mixed results. Thanks for the great review!
Great to see a variety of brands tested and compared but going for like-for-like makes the exercise more useful and legitimate. Heroine Make does a Length and Curl also, so that is what you should have made the comparison with. That formulation is pretty much holy grail material

tired both kiss me and clio before, clio is definitely the favorite mascara I've ever used! Romand is a pretty good k beauty brand as well, highly recommend their mascara too! its very similar to clio
i use cerve ointment or petroleum jelly followed by miceller watter to remove the heroine mascara! i actually combine the heroine mascara with the clio mascara to get volume with length:)
I haven't tried the other brands but the Heroine one is the only one I can get to work when compared to the Western mascaras. I'm not Asian but I have straight lashes that don't curl no matter what I do so its heroine or nothing. Curious to try others
If you ever want to show off a lash product while wearing eye makeup, you can take an index card and put between your lid and the lashes for a couple seconds of the review to show them off.. But it's also kind of important to see how it looks with eyeshadow on
Heimish mascara is great. It’s tubing so it works for my monolids better -everything else smudges. The formula is wet so it doesn’t hold curl right away, but you can curl it after it dries and it holds then.

How I wish Clio will make brown version of their Kill Lash mascaras (especially the Long Curling) I'd prefer to use a (medium to dark) brown shade as my natural hair color is dark brown 😅
I've been using kiss me heroine for a year now, love it so much but I'm considering to switch to klio as my tube is running dry now. Love the lighter look on klio side! Was wondering tho, does it last as good as the kiss me one? Because I use it daily and at the end of the day I never have to deal with smudged panda eyes.
I know that what I'm going to say is probably against the common opinion but I prefer shorter lashes than to the long spider lashes any day of the week no man in this world has ever said wow she'd be hotter if eyelashes were longer😅

Do it. 12 hours plus a hot bath and it didn't even drop the curl.

I have use Héroïne Kiss and Clio. The Clio one is amazing especially for my bottom lashes!
