2:38. If I am not mistaken, the recipients of the golden tickets were indeed predetermined. This is because Arthur Slugworth (an employee of Wonka) is always on the scene at the exact moment when each of the children happens to discover one. For that to be a coincidence would be statistically impossible.
If you watch the full screen version and not the widescreen version, you can spot the hose that's pumping air into the inflatable blueberry suit that Denise Nickerson wore during the scene.
@@FNAF7000-1 First off, get it with the full screen, check your scene page, flip to Gum Chewing Evils, where it starts with the machine. The scene is cut a little funny, but you'll see Violet turn blue, it cuts to Wonka and her dad, then when it cuts back is when the actress is in the inflatable suit, and that's where you'll see the air tube if you look closer.....
This is very interesting even I remember seeing this movie many times back when it was streaming on Netflix. Gene Wilder was a perfect fit for Willy Wonka.
On the ticket reading at 3:00 - another small detail missed is that Grandpa Joe's reading of the ticket instructions skipped over the phrase "and only one" about taking a family member.
0:34 Almost every day I pass by a tiny, dirty hovel where a family of at least 5 people scrape a living, and can see their 50" TV through their window.
@@FunFactFilms Thank you sir. Finally got covid a few days ago and have been terribly sick. But, on the rebound now. Yes I noticed some of these but Wonka is a POWERFUL man who's chocolate runs that city and eventually the globe. He had to expand his horizons so he KNEW where each ticket was hence sending fake Slugworth to be at the same place at the same time ticket was found. He clearly invested time in his solace trying to " find a child..a sweet loving child" to run the factory which means he WAS INTENTIONALLY LOOKING ... I think he based his findings on the 7 deadly sins cuz each child represents at least one..Inc Charlie. He also knew by finding these kids he was going to take them to rooms of the factory that will bring out that sin. 1. Augustus...Chocolate River tempted him cuz he's GLUTTONY Wonka knew he would get him by showing him the edible room 2. Veruca Salt...golden egg room. WONKA plotted her demise in the rich geese egg room....she's LUST cuz she wants power, GREED because she's rich and wants what she wants now and if she don't get it you will feel her WRATH 3. Violet Beauregard....inventing room...she's boasted her PRIDE on live TV and that she tried to prove it by knowing what gum tasted like ..Wonka made GUM knowing its her downfall otherwise why not invent something else 4. Mike Teevee...Wonka took him to the .......tv room. .Mike just sits and watches TV most of the time so he's SLOTH 5. Charlie Bucket. .. he proves he's not the other bad kids by giving back the gobstopper but before that, Grandpa Joe was slothful but Charlie seeing all these kids win made him angry and green with jealousy and ENVY but he's a good kid who paid for his mistake in breaking the rules proving he's honest and the one Wonka can trust to run his factory I want to also point out the Oompas were PREPARED for that whistle for each room and knew each kids sin cuz they frigging sung about it Grandpa Joe annoys me cuz he just gets out of bed like that after 20 years cuz " I found a golden ticket"...umm NO Charlie did and if u could move like that without rigamortis or no muscle mass..wtf didn't u get outta get to go make money and put all the burden on Charlie's Mom and on Charlie who got z paper route to help pay for things? You're a fraud and conman Grandpa... Also how do the other grandparents feel that Joe was clearly Charlie's favorite.? One more thing. .The candy man never got paid for all that candy he let the schoolchildren take while he sang his song..I assume they didn't pay cuz that was like most his inventory ALSO if you caught it...after the 5th ticket is a fraud Charlie buys a Wonka Bar fir his Grandpa and the candy man suggested to Charlie a Wonka bar. cuz he didn't have to " hide them anymore since they found that last ticket " He chose which bar to give Charlie cuz he KNEW it had the ticket...( also you could've easily stolen that ticket out his hand btw) The boat ride showed all the riders their worst fears except for Charlie. ..they thought it was funny Slugworth was Charlie's only fear I'm too obsessed with this movie lol
Another fact that Gene Wilder was never the original choice to play Willy Wonka. The producers considered Fred Astaire, Joel Grey, Ron Moody, and Jon Pertwee. Spike Milligan was Roald Dahl's original choice and Peter Sellers reportedly begged Dahl for the role All six members of Monty Python, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin
I've seen another version of this franchise- 'Charlie and the chocolate factory '. I never knew this movie ever existed before today when I bumped into this video.
Gene Wilder also refused to do the movie if they didn't let him do the limpy walk/somersault at the entrance. The script calls for him to simply walk to the gate with no cane. Wilder wanted the tour to be kicked off from the start with a sense of uncertainty, hence the hobble with a somersault idea was born, and that was all Wilder's idea. He almost walked away from the movie because of it.
I found the original edition of the book.🍫 After reading it, I appreciate Tim Burton's movie because he stayed more true to the book than the first movie did. This edition that I have is before the Oompa Loompas were changed due to racial issues.😮😆 Definitely read the book; it's more fun and the characters are more likable.👍
3:00 and if you look closely the ticket says you may bring with you 1 member of your on family and just one but no one else by grandpa joe says you may bring with you one member of your own family but no one else
Such a classic! Read the book when I was in second grade and watched the original. I’ve also seen the remake of course. Did you know there’s an upcoming Wonka movie starring Timothee Chalamet?
You think because they had a crappy black and white tv, and Charlie’s mom used what little money she made, doing other people’s laundry, to keep the lights on, that they weren’t in extreme poverty? Seriously? 🤦♀️🙄
Also in the actually room with all the candy and chocolate. that was the 1st time the cast saw the room so the reaction on their faces was real. This is what I learned from another 🎉RUclipsr some time ago.

Not really fun. Who cares about the mis steps when we are escaping to a magical place. Maybe the good deed in this weary world is to simply jump on and enjoy the magic and not trying to disqualify it.

Lets not over analyze - still one heck of a movie!!
I agree with you. It's obvious that Wonka sent Slugworth out to find children. The publicity was just a coverup.
