Thanks for this encouraging video. For the last 7 months I've had my first coding job as a professional coder for the ED and was worried I might not be getting well-rounded experience or am forgetting other things I've learned.
I have been on the fence for the past 3 months to study Medical Coding and not knowing where to start from ..and i have to make a decision by the end of this month ....then i stumbled on you ..and now you are the first thing i look at on RUclips and you will be the reason I took that right path ..so Thank you
Hello dear Blue, I am a medical equipment seller and I am interested in become a certified Billing and Coding guy in Miami , Fl ... do you know if this certification can be used to get a job all around US or depend of the state you are working and with 50 years old?. Another, question...is true that this profession is mostly for women?. Congrats for your information.
Do you recommend inpatient coding certificate for ED coding job? I have only outpatient certificate since 2023. If needed, I might go for inpatient coding program. Do you have any suggestions Bleu? Thank you in advance!
@@MedicalCodingwithBleu I failed my CCA from AHIMA and passed CPC from AAPC so I was not sure if another certificate will require at this moment, specifically for ER jobs, or is it better that I focus on searching for outpatient jobs. Thank you for your reply!
When you tested for the CPC, the ER is one of the topics covered. The ER is outpatient coding. Inpatient coding is when you're using the ICD-10-PCS coding manual. You can apply with your current credential, you do not need to get another one. I recommend practicing more with the workbooks so you can get a stronger grasp, working in the ER you will need it. You can apply anywhere, not just the ER. Good luck.

Ma'am, you answered your own question. ER is not inpatient.
