Thanks SO MUCH for having me as a guest on your show! It was a true honor and I loved being there! Thank you everyone who viewed the episode and asked questions :)
+Natalie Jill Fitness You provided great value on the show. Love your approach to helping people. Can't wait until that moment when you add me back as a friend on SnapChat @scotthurren1111
***** exactly! Again love Gary but why bring people on if you're more interested in talking than listening. I'm really hoping that he gets better at interview. It comes off as "I don't value what you have to say" and I know that's not true.
I believe the only reason why we put up with him because he's authentic, the people he brings in, he give a lot for free, and his book is cheap in price.
Gary, OK we know you're successful and what not but you need to understand the basics of communication. You talk more than you listen, you interrupt and it seems like you know everything. Just LISTEN man, for gods sake. "Only a fool knows everything" - Proverb from somewhere. Anyway i'm not hating just saying after watching your videos.
QOTD: 1) Yesterday 2)It was shareable as it's a new service we're providing in collaboration with another company. 3) The reason that I do it is to entertain and help those that are in need of my services. And I talk to my mom daily and happy to say she's proud of what I'm doing. Great episode. I like the panel shows, gives more perspectives on the questions and relate-ability.
Gary is totally right about creating a show around your gym. Barbell Brigade and Christian Guzman with his Alphalete brand and gym do exactly that on RUclips. Those gyms are like destination spots for their followers and everybody knows the "cast". TheOnlineCoach does the same thing with his daily vlog and gym "The Campus".
love the video guys! I'm a personal trainer and competitive bodybuilder always hungry to learn more and more! Gary you rock and much love to Mike Rashid! love you guys thanks for all that yall do!
2 things I have been doing this 2009: Following you Gary from wine library tv to now the Gary Vee show and working out or training friends and family consistently since then. This show was to me personally right down my alley. Thanks for the info. Priceless.
Only stumbled across this now and as an avid watcher of both Mike and Gary and a health and fitness side hustler, I found this incredibly heartening and enlightening. Thank you.
Never clicked a AskGaryVee episode so quick. As a ex college basketball player now strength coach / yogi I had to get to this ASAP cause I know there'd be so much value. As someone whose seen every episode. Even when the shows are categorized with a theme people are essentially asking the same thing except in a different shade of colour, and the answers are pretty much the same. As much as I love the show and Gary no one should have any more questions. This show technically shouldn't exist because all the fundamentals 'The Dirt' is contained within 200+ videos. QOTD: Vacanti: 1 week: IG for me is a art collage of the highlights of my life. So it's sporadic, but aesthetically very pleasing to me. instagram.com/alexsandalis/ Natalie: That shit is what I live for 98% of the time. Rashid: Why? Love this question so much because I've forced myself to really go deep and understand who I am and why I am. Even though I have no expectation many are going to read this let alone you, I will answer it because it means everything to me. I want to live in service to greatness. I want to live and create in a way that when people see me, they are inspired and become better just by having contact with the excellence I try and practice every single day. But to go deeper, legacy has become vital to what I do. I'm young as shit but I often think about what if I brought a son into the world and died a week later. Would he be able to look on at his father proudly even though he never created a single real memory? Would he be able to learn from everything I've created and have the necessary resources and information to live a positive life of excellence that I tried to live? Right now I can confidently say yes, I've left a lot for him to learn off. A website curating of hundreds of articles that have shaped who I am. 40+ posts on Medium diverging into the philosophies and values I live by. 60+ RUclips videos summarsing the most valuable books I've read. I could go on but I say that because I'm proud of it. Why do I do what I do? So I can create something of my name. So I can create the legacy that leaves monumental ripples throughout the lives I touch. So I can create opportunities and resources that can help propel the lives of those I care for. Right now my name don't mean shit. But it will for my children and they're children. And if it doesn't, well I will have lived and died trying too. For that, maybe someone will be inspired to pick up from where I left off and begin their journey.
I love Gary.... Started with my channel about a month ago to show people our personal and group training and it has gone really well! Definitely going to use some of these tips going forward!
Just want to highlight Vayner Media's culture at 4:45 in the background. Two employee's giving each other a high-five on the way out of work, that to me tells a story in itself.
I think loads of your followers have been waiting for this one for ages! I was really excited to hear what Natalie and both Mikes had to say but couldn't help but shake my head and laugh every time you cut them off to go off on multiple tangents - not to say that they weren't insightful, but I was hoping to hear more industry-specific answers from your guests. Regardless, not that you need me to remind you, but you're the fucking man Gary.
Been binge watching your vids. So appreciate the time stamps that way I can get the info I am looking for. Also wanted to say thanks for being direct, theres no fluff.
Accidentally came across this video and I received so much information about the fitness industry than I've come across in the last month or so. Appreciate your knowledge and advice!
1. The last time I posted on IG was 2 days ago. 2. I put time in my post, because I want to tell a story or give a case studies about the photo I posted. 3. The reason why I post is I want to reach out to different brands in the experiential marketing industry. I want them to promote their brand at live events.

I finally am caught up to the show, after listening to every episode (in podcast form) starting a month or so ago. My comment is to PLAY THE WHOLE THEME SONG! This is not broadcast TV where they cut the intro to have more ad time. This show can last as long (or little) as you want it, so don't cut the theme short. Great shoooooowwwww!
Mike you looked super buff in this episode. I follow you on Snap and I know you're bulking, so just thought I'd mention it. Gary that point about being personally fulfilled first and THEN to build everything around that is such a huge huge huge huge point and I hope your team extends that into multiple pieces of content. That's something I've been thinking about and why I've taken some time off recently to refocus on what I'm doing, what I want, and WHY. It's something I didn't take much time to think about since being in action-mode for years now. Best episode yet! Thanks GV + team!
+Jackie Pearce - WritersLiftToo Agreeing with all of your points!! Great to discover you here in the Vayner nation! I look forward to following you and connecting
Great show with a lot of valuable info. But still left me with one important question: How to distribute content ? I mean what type of content should go where ? What goes to instagram, What to snapchat ? What on facebook ? Considering I'm also in fitness business (personal/online trainer).
Great video guys, fantastic value, got some real golden nuggets, main one being make sure to think about whats I am posting, how it encourages and what value am I really giving. Thanks again guys awesome stuff.
Last time I posted was today. I liked the second question made me think...sometimes my post aren't adding value and I should find a way to add more value to each post I make. Great episode! Made me think and made me hungrier to get after this fitness business
I was having a pizza with my friend when he said he was on a diet and pizza is his regular cheat meal and part of diet plan he got from *Next Level Diet*. I thought he was crazy, but after a month I noticed his body has changed a lot. He looked better than ever. I should really visit that website
We are doing what you talked about at around 13mins in. A bit different though --- just documenting the process of bringing a business to life from a basement! Thanks for all the inspo.
Wow amazing you listened to my comment and reduced the time for the introduction of the show. You're the man! That intro was perfectt!!! Also great show
Mike Rashid love your stuff bro, & to answer the morons question about who's the better person, the one who gives in secret or the one who shoots a video and board cast it, it really doesn't matter like you say as long as your giving from your heart. However, I think you showing that your giving to the homeless and posting it on social is a great idea because you are displaying to your following, and the people who look up to you how to lead by example, help others & how to be an overall good person. By showing your charitable contributions, you'll inspire others to do the same. We need more people like you in the world.
Key part of the whole vid. Kudos to you Mike for pointing this out. The fitness is NOT saturated. You were kinder than I would have been. There is not only not a lot of content but most of the content from the fitness industry is CRAP. Yea, there are some really good trainers and products and services ... BUT ... if it isn't the "my way or the highway" or "let me suck water out of you and call that fitness", or income claims, or "only my way works". No, this field is WIDE open. Thanx all. Good job Mike.
hey Gary, that is the most emphatic or empathy filled statement I have ever heard, when you told your trainer you're going to eat 7 pieces of bread so he can feel exactly like you feel!
1. When was the last time you posted on Instagram? Last time I posted was yesterday which was sunday. and I have one planned for today. 2. The next time you post to social media- ask yourself- does it add value? Is it something that's going to make people feel encouraged, motivated, or care? Is it something they'll want to share? I always design and post only things that I feel others can relate to and things that I like. I tend to always think about what I want to post many times over. 3. Why do you do what you do? I do clothing and blogging for personal and helping reasons. I do the blogging to spread the word about an artist or a movie or whatever topic I am touching on. I do the clothing to help get over depression and also be creative and express myself. I always want to be creative and find different ways to express myself. I always want my designs to be a part of me as well as touch other people.
i love these "focused" or "themed" shows, but i wish they were longer. .. and also... are you going to do one for etsy in the future? i'm on the hunt for some influencers in the etsy/online handmade community.
Great episode, and great questions at the end! I think Mike hit a great point about asking "why" you're posting this content before you do. I run 2 pages, my own personal fitness/entrepreneurship page (@jaybedreamin) and then my business page(mobile app dev company) (@permoveo). I try to post consistent content that's relevant to my target audience and that provides value to anyone following rather than just noise. I agree that each post should be meaningful, and have a clear message behind it. I've definitely been slacking on the frequency of posts on my business page, but this video has motivated me to get back to it! Thank you guys
1. This morning @coachjenrulon 2. I put together a Ironman Texas Free Webinar last night and I uploaded it to RUclips, shared it via SnapChat and FaceBook today. Ironman Texas is this weekend. 3. I want to educate and inspire athletes during their Ironman Triathlon or 70.3 Ironman Triathlon Journey.
Welcome back to the Shoooow Britt! @MikeVacanti - Today I posted twice on Instagram :) @NatalieJill - really love this question and I'm gonna apply it best as I can :) @MikeRashid - I reason why I do everything I do I just want to make sure with every person I meet that they will feel so impacted by me that they go out and want to make a bigger difference in their area of influence.
Gary, your initial comment is spot on. It IS a mindset shift. But Natalie Jill backed up the comment well. People have paralysis by analysis. There is SOOO much information that people get overwhelmed and aren't sure WHAT to do with the conflicting information. We are the only industry that continues to grow each year while our biggest indicator (obesity rates) continue to grow. We are failing and growing at the same time. So I call BULLSHIT on anyone who says they can't create content. We are failing. HELP ONE PERSON. 1>0 Have a kick ass day everyone.
Sensational episode!!! Totally love the energy and content. I thinking the penny has dropped for me. Shore I can deliver some informative content and look good doing it lol. The take away for me today is MINDSET. Meaning... Share how we developed and maintain our mindset and hence the physical results we have. As Natalie said It starts with a decision. Thank you it has give me an awesome shift in direction regards content and how to deliver it. Cheers.
Good QOTD. People are blindly copying other social media accounts and not really thinking about why they're posting what they post and the value their posts brings to their viewers.
QOTD: Mike: 2 weeks ago... :( Natalie: only sometimes, I got to think about those. Great question! Mike: I do what I do because I want to help others reach greatness. I think it goes on Natalie's question too but great reminders! Over all great show guys thank you!!
gary can you do another one of these entrepreneur types of videos and talk about more building a company from the ground up and branding, virality, standing out etc.
#QOTD: 1. When was the last time you posted on Instagram? - I have two instagrams & I posted on my "fitness" (aerial circus + yoga) account @E.thereal.E yesterday (it's 7am rn, too early to post imo) 2. The next time you post to social media- ask yourself- does it add value? Is it something that's going to make people feel encouraged, motivated, or care? Is it something they'll want to share? - I'm gunna go off of my most recent post, I hadn't posted in a lil bit cuz I didn't really have fresh content, but I decided to recycle a photo that I used on my other account awhile back, but in my caption I talked about it's interesting what the body can do when you give it a chance, but also how it's interesting what happens when you don't do anything. I mentioned how I had been feeling so weak, but to remember that even though I felt unable to pull off the moves that are the best of what I've been able to do, that I am still better than the first day I started & to not beat myself up over it. Then I asked people if they felt the same way & I had a few small convos on my post from people agreeing with me or giving their thoughts :) 3. Why do you do what you do? - I do aerial acrobatics because I always admired Cirque Du Soleil artists and never thought it was something available for me to learn until I ACCIDENTALLY found a studio 7min away from where I was living at the time, by typing "yoga studios near me" and fell into aerial yoga then quickly into acrobatics after that & I've never had a moment where I wanted to quit, but rather "how do I get more money/time to train more often" -- as far as social media goes, I would love to be in a place where people admire my style of aerial, which is a bit different, & I'd love to be able to travel, since my aerial is location-based & be able to teach workshops or just simply have the experience of discovery to enhance my content even further -- the only sure thing my mind has never strayed from is my desire to travel, but I'm in love with physical activities (besides running/gym)
Thanks SO MUCH for having me as a guest on your show! It was a true honor and I loved being there! Thank you everyone who viewed the episode and asked questions :)

Seriously love Gary, but interviews are so hard to watch. I always really want to hear what his guest have to say but the interruptions...
+JewelzTheEditor Yeah Gary is a great interview but he sucks as an interviewer. It's like he can't wait to talk about himself.
***** exactly! Again love Gary but why bring people on if you're more interested in talking than listening. I'm really hoping that he gets better at interview. It comes off as "I don't value what you have to say" and I know that's not true.

However, I think you showing that your giving to the homeless and posting it on social is a great idea because you are displaying to your following, and the people who look up to you how to lead by example, help others & how to be an overall good person. By showing your charitable contributions, you'll inspire others to do the same. We need more people like you in the world.
Love the 20 min daily vlog idea from the studio!
GV has been on fire this week!
Very helpful info here guys as I get started writing my own e-Book. Thanks so much.
+Ericsurf6 what's your book about?
He's all about cutting things in half. He extracts the juicy stuff, cuts in half and moves forward. Watch more of his stuff, you'll get it.
He has ADD to the fullest! We love you Gary Vee!
hey Gary, that is the most emphatic or empathy filled statement I have ever heard, when you told your trainer you're going to eat 7 pieces of bread so he can feel exactly like you feel!
1. When was the last time you posted on Instagram? Last time I posted was yesterday which was sunday. and I have one planned for today.
2. The next time you post to social media- ask yourself- does it add value? Is it
something that's going to make people feel encouraged, motivated, or
care? Is it something they'll want to share? I always design and post only things that I feel others can relate to and things that I like. I tend to always think about what I want to post many times over.
3. Why do you do what you do? I do clothing and blogging for personal and helping reasons. I do the blogging to spread the word about an artist or a movie or whatever topic I am touching on. I do the clothing to help get over depression and also be creative and express myself. I always want to be creative and find different ways to express myself. I always want my designs to be a part of me as well as touch other people.
Gary is basically talking about Christian Guzman's RUclips channel and his gym/company "Alphalete" at 14:30
Awesome value, I'd lost may way with my strategy and this helps with a little direction. Thank You! xx
Anyone watching this show and commenting between sets? Hell yeah everyone watching this has time to workout. I'm watching it working out.
i love these "focused" or "themed" shows, but i wish they were longer.
.. and also... are you going to do one for etsy in the future? i'm on the hunt for some influencers in the etsy/online handmade community.
The High five in the background at 4:45 was amazing🔥✅
1. This morning @coachjenrulon
Gary vee is a god. He can talk that shit and back it up.
Welcome back to the Shoooow Britt!
@MikeVacanti - Today I posted twice on Instagram :)
@NatalieJill - really love this question and I'm gonna apply it best as I can :)
@MikeRashid - I reason why I do everything I do I just want to make sure with every person I meet that they will feel so impacted by me that they go out and want to make a bigger difference in their area of influence.
Great show guys, do you think there'll be a time when instead of pills and medications, doctors will prescribe exercise and proper nutrition?
Thanks for this timely content. My friend is looking to start a personal training business! This is spot on!
Cheers.
Thanks Gary Vee on this amazing show!
Also a lot of thanks to Mike Vacanti, Natalie Jill & Mike Rashid on this amazing show!!
Good QOTD. People are blindly copying other social media accounts and not really thinking about why they're posting what they post and the value their posts brings to their viewers.
Great stuff!!
Great interview on TBC. Much respect!
I do my thing for my passion.
Thanks for this episode 👍🏼
I posted yesterday and then two days prior to that and then like a week prior to that. Definitely could be pushing out more content.
posted on insta 3x today.
purpose of my content is to share my perspective and engage
This is awesome! Thanks guys
QOTD:
Mike: 2 weeks ago... :(
Natalie: only sometimes, I got to think about those. Great question!
Mike: I do what I do because I want to help others reach greatness. I think it goes on Natalie's question too but great reminders!
Over all great show guys thank you!!
Mike Rashid's question is a great one. Ive wondered why people post "those kind of photos" often.
gary can you do another one of these entrepreneur types of videos and talk about more building a company from the ground up and branding, virality, standing out etc.
so combative. I see it! shakes things up, keeps everyone honest and fast paced. Cheers GaryV and team. As always Thank you for the SHAAAAAOWWWWW!
Natalie Jill was one of the first fitness people I started following 2 years ago that inspired me to actually workout!
The scenery gives me The Office vibes lmao but dope episode
Anymore videos similar? This was great
#QOTD:
1. When was the last time you posted on Instagram?
- I have two instagrams & I posted on my "fitness" (aerial circus + yoga) account @E.thereal.E yesterday (it's 7am rn, too early to post imo)
Then I asked people if they felt the same way & I had a few small convos on my post from people agreeing with me or giving their thoughts :)
Loved this session more than most. Hard work is SEXY.
Gary! Love your show! I would love to see you link up with Brandon Carter
Always a great show Gary keep Killing IT! Mike Rashid one of my favorite people to get tips from keep doing it hella big homie!!
one word to describe gary: mastermind
