I like how he forgot to start singing after the intro , and he just played it twice and everyone just laughed and fixed at the moment . Ps. Love that song !
Watched a 60 min clip that was posted in 2014 with Anderson, Grohl, Hawkins. Grohl said that whenever someone messes up in the band, Hawkins would be the person to glance at them and think "rookie". Lo and behold, I come across this performance and you can see Hawkins glance at Grohl!
I think he forgot the intro first so after he played the chord progression twice, he played the intro..
Hawkins got it wrong….. that’s why Grohl looked back. Even when Taylor Hawkins got it wrong, he managed to make it look perfect. Tragic and gone way too soon.

And for when we learned not to dress in baggy flannel wide leg jeans.
I’m a sixty something Beatles, Doors, prog-rock, jazz fan, and I think the Foo Fighters is one of the greatest rock bands since the 1950s.

Dave Grohl is such a great songwriter
This is a great song as is Everlong and Dave usually does one or too good songs on most records. Today music is so bad that I guess you have to consider him one of the better acts. Great songwriters write 4 or 5 songs per records. Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Graham Parker, for example. Well these others are old , can't do it now, but a long time ago, in Neanderthal times, they were beasts!
