I've been there twice and I can tell you that this short video doesn't even begin to capture what a beautiful city Cartagena is.
Its elegant, yet laid back, its refined, yet rustic and its perfectly safe and its easy to navigate. At the boutique hotel where I stayed earlier this year, I was one of only two Americans. Its a testament to the fact you're in the Carribbean, but, also South America. Forget Miami, San Juan & Santo Domingo- go to Cartagena.

I grew up in Cartagena , have been all over the world and no destination compares to historical Cartagena ,
Do shop and support the local merchants (native cartageneros).
They rely on the small profits for their basic needs.

No me gustaron las calles de boca grande llenas de huecos el agua del hotel donde estábamos la playa estaba muy cerca fuimos y apestaba a gasolina. La comida no me gustó excepto los desayunos muy buenos las cenas en los restaurantes de lujo no me gustó ese arroz con panela dulce no era coco no sabía a coco comida colombiana pésima la gente muy buena y amable regrese al eje cafetero y ahí si me gustó.
