17 years removed from living in El Paso, I still crave nothing as much as getting some Chicos when I'm in town visiting family. Nothing quite like it. I've met many people in Texas and Louisiana who love Chicos. I've never met someone who knew about Chicos but didn't like them. I'm sure they exist but must not be many. She doesn't want to admit because she doesn't want to attract the wrong crowd, but, yes, Chicos has always been a hangover or still drunk go to place. When I was young my friends and I use to always be at Grahams Central Station dancing and boozing till near closing. Then we'd head over to Chicos to get right with the world. Amazing times.

They use Red and White ketchup, too which isn't like any other I've had. It's an experience, for sure. If you're ever in El Chuco, check out The Charcoaler, too - cannot beat those burgers.

They aren’t that great. There are other restaurants in El Paso that does tacos in tomato sauce waaaaaay better than Chico’s tacos. The district is way better. Chicks tacos hasn’t been good for a decade now🤷♂️
Man I’m craving for Chico’s so bad and the only person that knows how to make them legitimately was my Abuelita who work there for years. My dad would tell stories how the other locations wanted her sauce the most because she made it the best. I miss her.
If you love Chico’s Tacos and live in Manchaca or Buda or South Austin, try El Faso Flauta. They have similar “tacos” as well other EP favorites such as chiles relleno, chile colorado, and, of course, flautas.
Fella, stick your fork in the end. Put at least one container of green Chile. Some people put a lot more. Most people get a double. You could get single and share a chili dog with someone. Eat only half your fries. When you're done put the rest of the fries in the boat. Swirl them around in the sauce and cheese, that's dessert. Make sure you order a large drink

Tina Schlobohm i wish it was finely shredded cheese. Calling it cheese is generous.
Well said!
Man I’m craving for Chico’s so bad and the only person that knows how to make them legitimately was my Abuelita who work there for years. My dad would tell stories how the other locations wanted her sauce the most because she made it the best. I miss her.
those are flautas not tacos
If you love Chico’s Tacos and live in Manchaca or Buda or South Austin, try El Faso Flauta. They have similar “tacos” as well other EP favorites such as chiles relleno, chile colorado, and, of course, flautas.
Looks good but that's not a taco my friend
Jose Velazquez nowadays that is considered a taco. If you mean flautas only us real Mexicans say that.
Try to keep up.
Its called rolled tacos
i think the others should just be considered non-rolled tacos
@@delimick Real mexicans, Mr. Wisselman says lol.
Good find Sir! I am impressed!
First place I ate at when I arrived in el Paso. Never went back.
good, el paso doesnt want you either
@@brianm6784 i love el paso, the food just sucks.
And thats the only right way to eat them
That's sauce looks like el patos
i love el pato!🦆
I drink that stuff
That watery sauce looks more like the the Rio grande river water and smells like it too
