Your interest in economics is dripping from every word you wrote in the statement. Those precise statements and solid words really amazed me. You deserved what you got.
I go to a grammar school - I have read many personal statements that get into the top unis. Yet I can say without any hesitation that this the single best personal statement that I have ever read. Respect.
Hi! Really, really loved your video. Extremely helpful! I’m an aspiring student for Economics at LSE and I know it’s super tough to get in. I can’t begin to think of how to start my personal statement. Any help would be appreciated!! Thank you and Love the video🤍
Anything related to the coure - books , activities you've done that confirms your interest in the course , explore the subject anyway you want and write a PS remembering the goal is to persuade the tutors that you really want to do the course and are a good candidate
I started thinking about it from April and did things during the summer and worked on it from may to sept but after learning more about it and helping others with it , you can spend way less time than I did :) feel free to pm me a message on my insta if you have specific PS questions
hi presence! i was just wondering if you managed to leave a line between paragraphs when writing the personal statement? am already struggling to cut to the 4000 char limit:( (also ur PS is rly amazing!!!)
Hi, I wnat to ask did you use the same personal statemnet to apply to all these school? :) Thank u so much for this video. Helps a lot as a international students, I usually do not have to write essay to apply to school. Now i want to study abroad and personal statements is quite stressing :')
you talk about a few essay writing competitions in your personal statement, did you find out about those through school or did you have to search for them yourself?
@@presence3589 ahh do you have any advice on how to find out about things like that? also did you enter most of them throughout your time in sixthform or before then too? i'm going into year 11 rn and i do read around quite a bit but i'm always wondering if there's more i could be doing to aid me when it's time for uni applications :)
Would you say that Economics at LSE (or any top uni really) is super male dominated? I’m the only girl in my A-level econ class out of 19 people :( just curious if it’s a similar situation - thanks!
HELP!!! When applying, which subject is more desirable - further maths (in Ireland it’s applied maths) or physics. We need to do min 6, I do Maths, Econ, Applied Maths, Business Studies, Biology, French, Geography.
PLEASE HELP. I am currently doing maths, economics and biology for A levels in my final year. I am currently predicted 3 As (although I am contesting for an A* in maths). My current Uni choices are : LSE, UCL, Warwick, Bristol, Edinburg. In your honest opinion, is that too ambitious for my grades and should I consider swapping out LSE for a lower option. Thank you and great video.
depends on the course, for econ it might be harder but there are other less competitive ones, I don't want to discourage you from applying to where you want and disclaimer I'm not an admissions officer so my answers may not be correct - feel free to message me on insta to chat
Hey, I am in currently the same position here and I was predicted AAA originally but got my A*AA prediction. I have just sent off my application and my choices are Oxford, Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton and Strathclyde. I believe you should have one or two high unis, one or two unis at your predicted grades and possibly a safety choice. This is however totally your choice and if you think you can achieve those grades then go for it! Another outcome is that is you don't get into your unis, you can always take a gap year and apply the next year. I would possibly recommend a safety choice but most importantly apply to where you want to go to. It is not always about the rankings (which I appreciate is a major factor) but do realise you will be spending 4 years there so make sure you want to go there. (Also I might be wrong however I believe Warwick is A*A*A for Economics but this might range for different courses.) Wish you best of luck!
Hey, I really enjoyed your video! Is there any chance you could look at my personal statement and provide me feedback and my chances of getting into the prestigious unis you got into? :)

Brilliant stuff! Where did you do your internship? IEA?
I did one there yes, and others
would i be able to use similar topics you mentioned in your personal statement for a business personal statement?

Just wanted to enquire whether a similar personal statement used for Econ would be applicable for a finance coursw
It would be a little different - more about banking, i would advise check out modules and see what is taught and base your PS around them
