It came out when I was born.
I love how at the beginning, Francoeur sings "I", makes a confused noise, then sings the song.
Like he hadn't known he could sing.
Like he took 2 seconds to learn enough French to sing a a song he wrote on the spot.
And then he learned guitar in like 10 minutes.
What the actual hell was in that potion and where can I get one.

This is very first animated movie which presents the world from the point of view of a monster.
NNot really there monsters vs aliens, shrek, lilo and stitch at times, the incredible hulk, American were wolf in London just to name a few you should check a few of them out their all decent films
But this is not "this type" of monster. Monster in Paris is some kind of scary, retro monster who is supposed to destroy cities, eat people etc. Hulk, Shrek and so on are more like fantasy monsters :D

I love this haunting melody. It grabs me by the heart and refuses to let go. Incongruity in music appeals to me and this is one of my favorites though I adore jazzy tunes with a deep well controlled female vocal too. Sigh, it is too rare.

@@lufsolitaire5351 i dont think so, as much as he was neglected, he still had his Yoko's support and love, I'm sure. Whereas Julian had both Yoko and John neglecting him, with only his mother Cynthia by his side. Both of them were neglected, but Julian's case is way worse

I remember back in 2020 I would rewatch some of the clips from this movie and listen to the banger soundtrack and watch some RUclipsr called Clairy godmother’s video on it, good times. It’s crazy that 2020 is now like 4 years ago. I love how unique and distinctive Sean’s voice is, you don’t really get that much unique and different voices from male singers anymore, almost all of them sound the same today. His voice is like from another planet.

This is one of the songs that truly captures the meaning of other peoples point of view. It isn't another pop song that earns 1million or more hits for what? A good beat and voice? This song actually has truly good singers and they show something else.

I just saw this movie on Netflix on 1/30/15 and I cannot stop watching it. Sean has the oddest singing voice that is pleasant to hear; a great match for the flea. His singing voice give the flea a form of realness, life. I LOVE the song, the scene. I even taped the singing parts of the movie on my phone so no matter where I am if I want to hear or see a singing scene I have it with me.

As I had the DVD in my hand I thought this is children's version of Phantom of the Opera. Now having seen it, it does have certain moments following similar but still it is unique.

It's been confirmed that this movie was heavily inspired by the original Phantom of the Opera Novel. Hence why this takes place in France, one of our main characters is named Raoul, them being childhood friends etc ☺️
