What a fantastic hike and videography - this should be on Netflix (seriously). My son is up 5040 peak right now as I type (I spoke to him 2 hours ago before he summited), I got him to watch your video last night to see what he was in for. Needless to say I am a fan now and will look forward to watching more of your videos. Keep up the amazing work! 👍👍👍
Just hiked Mount Horne today and it had a rocky scramble to the top that put the fear in me. Now I'm watching this video and I can feel the vertigo from my couch! That took a lot of courage.
that Mount Horne scramble scared me when i first moved here over 4 years ago and really started hiking. I can say with confidence the summit block of big interior is 3 levels up in scare factor.
This was ... awesome... beautiful... scary (yes, I will admit it!) I had remind myself that if you uploaded this, you are okay! Thank you for the adventure!!
Just hiked this one august 9th 2022, thanks to your video for the inspiration, it was my biggest hike to date. It's also amazing to see the difference, even though I hiked it at the same time of year as you, there was hardly any water visible at the base of the glacier, and almost none of the blue glacier exposed. I camped at bedwell lake, and did the summit and return to truck on day 2, it was by far the hardest I've had to work in my life, but it's always worth it. Next I'm hoping to do the Comox Glacier on the 20th if they keeps the gates open
Awesome climb. So, I think I'm like you with heights/drops/exposure/scrambles, but worse. I get panicky, terrible vertigo and end up freezing sometimes because I feel like if I move even one inch, I'm going to lose my balance. It's like all my senses stop working correctly, and when I start to get that feeling, I get completely incompetent, even at just standing. I would LOVE to see a video from you on things you've done to overcome this other than just desensitization. There are a ton of hikes that I would love to do, but can't - even just getting to the lake at triple peak has not been possible because of the little bits of exposure make my body and mind turn to jello. I'm not actually scared until my panic sets in. I don't really get scared of the height (I don't think), I actually get scared of the panic feeling and how it renders me incapable of being sure footed/balanced.
Wow, this is an incredible hike😍 It really makes me crave some adventure. We're planning to do a video in a few weeks where we try to survive in the woods for 24hrs, super excited about that haha. Glad we came across your channel from Yes Theory’s comment section, we love connecting with other likeminded creators that are carving their lane on RUclips- keep up the great work 💛😁
Great video David! How long from the trail head did it take you guys? Are you doing Golden Hinde at some point? Wife and I are planning for next summer!
@@IdRatherBeHiking ya we're a little bit hesitant on a full summit. I'd be happy just to get near it honestly. Camp at the lake and relax while people make their push. Lol we'll see. Cheers
Absolutely in awe watching this - how incredible!

It's world class stuff back there.

*Hi, nice video!*
*I do a lot of barefoot hiking, the connection with nature is great!*
*Have a great day!!*
wow that's intense!
Well done, great filming, and very honest commentary 👍 Is your camera set to wide, or super wide ? .....assuming it's a gopro
I have a few cameras the only action cam I have is a osmo action which is set to the widest I believe. My other main camera shoots 21mm.

wow AMAZING1 Well done;
Amazing day. Also Dean is a machine lol.
You got that right!
Looks amazing. I want to climb it.
It's incredible all the way through
great hike! how bad is the logging road here? wondering if my sedan can make it.
I've seen toyota yaris at that trailhead, its a little rough but everyone gets their vehicles up there
Oh, and how is the tent holding up for you? Still waiting for a propper review on it.
I filmed the tent review on that trip just need to edit it, so soon
My legs are quivering just watching
Absolutely amazing video , thank you 🙏🏽 Hi looking for a map from cream to BIM . Any resources or link would be appreciated thank you 🙏🏽
I have a gpx track on the files section of my hiking group: facebook.com/groups/hikingvi
Nice performance. When did you do this?
Great video David! How long from the trail head did it take you guys?
Are you doing Golden Hinde at some point? Wife and I are planning for next summer!
Once my skill level is high enough for the summit block of Hinde, not sure I'm there yet. It's 16 hours from the trailhead and 13 from baby bedwell.
@@IdRatherBeHiking ya we're a little bit hesitant on a full summit. I'd be happy just to get near it honestly. Camp at the lake and relax while people make their push. Lol we'll see.

Ok, so the French taunter in Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail was correct about the Elderberries.
haha "your father smelt of elderberries" definitely has a poop/barf smell to them
Let me know if there is a group going up there.
Was this 26 kilometers round trip in and out?
yep thats total in and out
I'm in for starting from the trail head of anyone is interested some day. Is it dog friendly?
I don't think it's wise to bring a dog across glaciers and up this level of scramble.
there are a few spots up there I wouldn't want a dog to go up.
Yes fair enough. Maybe dogs could only make as far as the first little mountain then turnaround..
I think if you watched this video you would see it's not a place to bring your dog, not fair to put a pooch through that kind of envirorment.
