Heather Mendick is a social researcher, academic and activist. She is widely published in the fields of Mathematics and Science education, youth aspirations and the impact of social class, gender and ethnicity. Heather was also Jeremey Corbyn's Jewish community liaison officer in 2019. In this full interview Heather and Jackie discuss a number of topics. From issues with her local Hackney Labour run council and the shifting demographics of the borough, to Israel, Gaza and Labour's increasingly untenable position in the conflict.

"They only seem to think about what's happening in Westminster." True. "They no longer feel they have a duty to respond to the opinions of the people they represent." Equally true. But why leave the obvious question hanging? Explain from who or what the political class is taking its direction. This needs to be made clear not left to be guessed at.
