Another great episode, always love the energy. I agree Tribunal IS a natural fit for Shuri/Zero decks, as Shuri into Red Skull into Tribunal is basically 10 power across lanes. Add on played ebony maw and lizard, it’s a solid alternative 6 play to taskmaster.
@@mariofarias6741 right, I’m saying the ebony maw and lizard are already out, gives you the option to play tribunal OR taskmaster, depending on board state
@@jakespeed8246 because I like to party 😂 but no, this was all in theory, and in testing so far, LT seems really location based. Helps get in there…but most of the time causes you to lose the other two locations lol. Seems the only games I’m winning are because of locations, high rolling wong, or cheating out Iron Man and Onslaught with him. Even then sometimes it’s not enough.
Surfer decks are currently being slept on, I have almost a 65% winrate with it and it took me to infinite for the first time this season. Being able to storm/jug locations to counter Kitty decks and cosmo and goose are huge tech cards. For those struggling, I would recommend.
I've been consistently getting a 6/22 Hulk. Its so easy with all the negative power to also get a 0/9 Abomination too. I'm even willing to forgo turn 1 to play something like Misty Knight or Sunspot on 2 to keep that first turn's power. Its basically a ramp deck that is off by one each turn.
Let me run through my top 10 based on my current view of the metagame: 10 - Iron Lad - Though the effect is swingy, Iron Lad is a card that can't really miss if you design your deck around him. I'm certain this card will going up in my list over time if he stays as-is. I've only seen about 10 Iron Lads so far, so it's difficult to gauge exactly how strong it is. Iron Patriot seems to be the most absurd form of it, and my one match against it was enough to put it on this list. 9 - Devil Dinosaur - This card trivializes so many of the 6-cost cards that just play big for power. It's so easy to fill your hand and so difficult for the opponent to do anything about it. Easily a 5/15 when played in a deck built for it. Its biggest limitation is that the double 5/15 swing isn't as potent as it used to be (though thankfully it's still competitive). 8 - Sera - Sera facilitates that powerful turn 6 drop. It's definitely something to be feared if the opponent has a big hand and you don't have an answer. I would put this card much higher if it didn't have the three hard counters in Wave, Sandman, and Galactus. 7 - Mystique - Mystique facilitates so many powerful combos in the game that I couldn't not add it. Patriot, Cerebro, Darkhawk, Iron Man, Devil Dinosaur, Morbius and Zabu can all combo with Mystique to get some crazy power levels. She's a force multiplier, and not even the 0 base power is enough to remove her high threat potential. 6 - Thanos - The amount of flexibility I've seen from Thanos decks is still pretty bonkers. I'm not inclined to retreat to a Mind Stone like I was when Thanos was peak power, but it definitely still puts me on alert for a potentially tough match. There are so many different flavors of Thanos that you can't be certain if putting an Armor over their stack of stones is going to help or hurt them. The Swiss Army Knife of simple abilities and draw power make it crazy unpredictable, and it can still ramp pretty well even with the more restricted Lockjaw. 5 - Dr. Doom - When playing with/against Doom, I gauge the board state to see if Doom would have won it as a 6/4 with 4-power Doombots. Almost always, yes. It's 3 Lizards with no downside and restriction avoidance, plus synergy with Patriot and an answer to Sandman. Easily one of the best 6-drops when Galactus is not in town. 4 - Kitty Pryde - I agree with Cozy that Kitty really needs Beast to go out of control. However, putting Sera, Mystique, and Zabu on this list, I think I need to factor in cards they are used with for this calculation. Kitty Pryde is the same as playing a Quicksilver every turn, only those Quicksilvers don't take up space on the board and can dodge Killmonger. Once bounced with Beast, they can be played for free. You can dupe them with Moon Girl, double a boosted one with Shuri, and do a ton of crazy combos with some of the more volatile locations. The only thing that really holds Kitty back is that you need her early to get value. A turn 6 Kitty is worse than a turn 6 Hawkeye. I'm not entirely sure if this balances her, but I'm glad there's at least a risk to using her. 3 - Zabu - While not a powerful card on its own, it facilitates some of the stronger plays in the game. Allows two 4-drops on 6 and a 4-drop on 3, granting so much flexibility at a cost of only going -1. If you play Zabu in a deck designed for Zabu, you will get some value from him almost guaranteed. 2 - Darkhawk - Right now there is no downside to playing Darkhawk. Rogue, Shang-Chi, and Enchantress can all be dodged by Cosmo or simply playing it turn 6, with priority making them useless. Worst-case scenario it is on-rate as a 4/6, aside from around 4-5 specific locations that make it worse. Best case it's a 9/20 with Korg + Rockslide, which can also damage the opponent's draws. Only counters that specifically disrupt Darkhawk's strategy are Adam Warlock, Magik, and Crystal, which only help marginally and don't see much play. 1 - High Evolutionary - I think High Evo's true strength is masked somewhat by Luke and mirrors being everywhere, but I've been playing without them to gauge High Evo's base strength based on the old metagame. I've played against something like 30 High Evos so far, and I've yet to see a High Evo player retreat. They're not undefeatable, but they are consistently ending up with 10-12 more total power than whatever I put out just by playing their basic play patterns, even when I win against them. I either have to outplay them, get a lucky break from something like Gamma Lab, or get perfect hands to be competitive. It's the number one card on my watchlist by a healthy margin now that Wave/She-Hulk/Death is no longer on the table.
Though I love to try out all the suggested decks, I only really use them to help me regain the destruction I cause my rank testing out new decks. I don't mind starting over at the bottom every season, but it does get old. I'm a guy that really tries to give play to all my cards in some way but I feel I'm punished for that if I do it because to test decks and cards in decks you have to play them. I'm new fairly new to trying to understand Snap competitively and I'm curious how you know what the meta is becoming ahead of time like going into a Move vs a Control in a month or so. What helps you know that sort of thing?
Living Tribunal seems like a Mr. Negative or Galactus style deck to me. Draw it and you probably win, don't draw it and you most likely lose. I like a little more flexibility.
I’ve yet to see how drawing it would equal a win, most strategies so far that I hear of use turns 4-6 and only result in about 10 power per location. Not exactly earth shattering numbers. Heck you can beat that right now with Wong-White Tiger-Doom and it’s not like that’s even meta defining
It's a glass cannon, but Zabu turn 2 in a lane, then Wong turn 3 Mystique turn 4 Black panther turn 5 Living tribunal turn 6 Spreads 72 power on board to split
I feel like Jeff is such a hard card to describe why hes so good. I was playing the hawk/black bolt list with nightcrawler in his place and was just hoverring around 70. I bought Jeff and then immediately shot to infinite 😅
Fyi, one thing I used to do when I ran a low cost Surfer deck with Goose was to include Mystique. That way you can lock down 2 lanes if you want and use the other one to play Sera. Mystique gets buffed by Surfer so she's not a complete waste of a spot in her lane (though +3 to +2 may make some difference on her value I guess)
Singer’s Saving Grace. It’s a throat spray that opera singers use. I use it on Day 3 of a convention when I’m starting to lose my voice. It’s intense, but it works.
I got High Evolutionary but am Pool 3 incomplete.. I would love to see a build guide for HE starting at Pool 2 and then mentioning how to build Pool 3 Cards in as you get them
I got this game a few months ago. Played it nonstop for a few weeks, told my friends to get it etc. I hit Infinite in 2 weeks, and the matchmaking instantly flipped. Started seeing cards I’ve never heard of. I went from winning 80+% of games, to maybe 45%. I got hit with the realization that I will forever be playing catchup with these collection levels. The Pay2Win element hits like a truck when you get into infinite. Haven’t played since, GGs, was a fun few weeks no doubt
For most people who grind a lot it takes about 2 weeks to hit CL500 which is roughly when pool 3 starts. Whenever you first get dumped into pool 3 it’s a little bit of a shock, it’s like that for everybody. Actually in some ways spending lots of money would make the shock way worse as then you would really be with the sharks. You actually don’t play catch up forever though, for the next 500 collection levels you will be getting pool 3 cards at a faster rate that most and it helps you get a good foundation of cards quickly. Hope you don’t quit, in my opinion pool 3 is when the fun actually starts
The power of Cyclops is that you can invest energy into him (like sunspot) and he can build up in a locked lane, but he isn't weak to killmonger the way sunspot becomes a liability to it.
not gonna lie i stopped playing snap for a while but high evo got me back in, just love how you can make multiple decks with him. think they need more cards lik this that increase deck building to be more creative
Standard Surfer with a Goose and Shadow King slotted in is doing wonders for me in infinite rank right now. It's almost like nobody expects the King against their Bishop, Angela etc.
Anti Evo surfer is phenomenal. My list isn't exactly this but it also runs shadow king which has been enormously successful at buffing a location back up. Surfer is so good at beating high Evo with rogue it's actually a bit ridiculous
I'm happy about one fact, new players will have 1 3 series free card, if they pick luke and than use the initial Tokens to buy high evo they can start they journey with a pretty strong deck remaining free 2 play players, I don't think the dev realizes that but I hope this will help increase the number of new players 😊
Omg the big 3 0 congradz on having 30 episodes i have came a long way from ep one u guys are my fave podcast even if i leave the game i may still listen to this podcast
I play a lot of other games and it is honestly so refreshing to see content creators always so positive and optimistic about the game. Often creators can be super negative and ruin my excitement about the game.
Jeff is a great card. Love to see him on Alex's list. I'm not saying he's the most game changing card in terms of wins (although he absolutely does win games), but he's never not fun to play. Of all the s5 cards I've bought, he's the one I've had the most enjoyment from playing.
It might just be me but I really love Heimdall as a card that fits into anything (Except Discard). I'll spend my whole game baiting people into contesting the left lane just to Heimdall it all away on Turn 6 or even force it with Armor and Doc Ock.
Luke Cage just gets Rougue’d or Enchantress’d so not really a counter. Now they are playing Wave on turn 5 so yeah playing against HE feels oppressive.
Got to infinite for the first time using a High-Evo Thanos Lockjaw deck. That version of high-evo feels a little bit underrated, the stones work so ridiculously well with all the evolved cards.
@@shadizumut5318 Wasp, Lockjaw, Wave, Cyclops, Shang-Chi, High-Evolutionary, Devil Dinosaur, Doctor Doom, America Chavez, Thanos, Hulk, and then either Killmonger or Abomination depending on how many 1 drops and Luke Cage's you play against.
At first i thought LT was trash, but turn out it become my first pick for this season. You only need to stack cosmo, iron man, on slaught, and some high power card to win.
Shocker is great in a Lockjaw deck, where you can play SheHulk with Hulk or Infinaut on turn 6. Surprised you are so down on him, this deck has been discovered on day 1 and is pretty consistent.
I think The Living Tribunal (TLT) is another alternative to Arnim Zola and Taskmaster. That's it. TLT provides similiar plays to those cards but for decks and situations where those cards necessarily wouldn't work. Or maybe you need something that isn't on reveal. My first thought was a negative style list. Epesially if you could Arnim Zola Ironman. Unfortunately I won't be getting the card right now but I'm definitely eager to see this card cracked wide open.
Why does Leader copy for example Gamora, after the ability has been triggered (and triggers another time) but doesn't copy The Hulk with opponent's buff?
Experimenting with Cerebro lately and tbh Shadow King and Valkyrie kinda a sleeper, sad don't synergize with luke cage tho, love the deck building part and designing part of snap, and really appreciate this meta🤤
the fact you guys didn't mention thanos destroy as a meta counter is kind of crazy to me, its a deck that can generally perform while under heavy control and hard counters high evo play. I've been free climbing with it since high evo's drop, i went from rank 24 to 63 this week while only playing on my breaks at work. Its currently a ridiculously high performing deck for me and i've not lost to a high evo player yet with it, no matter the evo deck, first game i lost in the past 2 week (as in played till the end and lost more than 1 cube) was actually a mirror match because he had the reality stone to undo the limbo turn 6 and i didn't have the play to counter it i and gambled on him not having the stone in hand like me. I understand alot of my wins against high evo are deck pilot related but you guys are supposed to be giving advice for players around my current rank i would assume as well as advice for top level play. edit to say i've been getting alot of 8 cube games off the sera surfer decks as well cause they think the turn 6 will win out against a fully fed knull and death play, its been pretty nice tbh
Shocker is my favorite card of HE. Control is my favorite and main archetype I’ve got infinite the past 4 season with it and shocker fits perfectly in my list putting him on a storm lane is basically a win
Alright Cozy. I have 4700 tokens. I can save for High Evo or I can go for Zabu and Darkhawk. I'm concerned about spending on the older cards because they might get nerfed. Do you think the Darkhawk/Zabu combo will get nerfed? And should I go for HE or DZ. Last time I got a meta card (Thanos) he got nerfed into oblivion on the next day so I'm just trying to be cautious.
LT idea is this: nebula, invisible woman, electro wave, iron man, onslaught, living tribunal. haven't considered what else to put but this is the core idea
You would have to cheat out LT to do this and that would mean your opponent is also putting out a big card and on top of that big card you are donating 6 power. I like the creative thinking but I’m not sure this idea would work in practice
stop rubbing salt in the wound that the 3 cards i don't have and won't anytime soon are darkhawk, galactus and knull lol tx for the counter-deck recs!!
It's funny how an OTA can change a way the game is played. Wave was always strong and the potential was there but with cost reduction she really turned into a tech card. Basically a better and more flexible sandman imo.
Wave didn't get a cost reduction. She got a change in her abilities to always make all cards in both players' hands cost 4 till the next turn ends. As She-Hulk and Death's effects used to happen after Wave, now it won't.
@Yahya Baker That's exactly what I was referring to. Wave abilities affected the way opposing cards would have their cost reduced. I guess I could've worded it better if that point wasn't coming across.
Honestly, I think Galactus, High Evo and Hulk are one of my favourites. Using Wave or Psylocke on turn 4 (Electro kind of screams Galactus). People don't know what to expect, you didnt kill off a lot of cards so no ones thinking Knull and you havent played any of the other Evo cards so no one is expecting GOD Hulk. Play Galactus on a zone they are occupying and they cant even Shang
For me the best 2 drop has to be Luke, he’s just perfect to stop High Evo from running rampant. That being said I prefer playing invisible woman right now
My only issue with Daredevil is it makes both players more cautious. Just in my experience, I'm less likely to gain/loss 8 cubes in a game. Imagine playing Texas hold up and your opponent has to show you one of their cards. The pot isn't going to really grow.
You’re snapping wrong with DD. You need to aggressively snap before you play DD on your hand / boardstate, not the turn you play him ( unless you want to bluff / force them out of the game at that point).
@Cid you run into a host of issues you're an ealry snapper. Basically putting the game into your opponents hand if your card draw is non optimal and they're overwhelming you with power regardless of the information you receive on turn 5. Honestly I won't snap back against ealry snappers so it helps medigate my cube loss. DD is a great card don't get me wrong but win rate is high cube rate is low so makes for a slower climb. Just my experience.
I'd personally probably be more inclined to opt for High Evolutionary, mostly due to the big bad permanent series 5 aspect and Iron Lad eventually becoming cheaper and/or increased odds of pulling from CL, but also it's effectively 7 new cards in one that can have multiple decks/archetypes built around them. Iron Lad is for sure a valuable card to own due to it being able to just slot in to a vast number of decks, it's just knowing that at some point (God knows when though with the series drop changes being basically random now) he will become cheaper and easier to access that puts me off advising biting the bullet on buying him over a big bad.
Happy Memorial Day Guys 🫡
God bless you

@@asphixiem Ah yes make Hela even a higher high roll.
It's a glass cannon, but
Zabu turn 2 in a lane, then
Wong turn 3
Mystique turn 4
Black panther turn 5
Living tribunal turn 6
Spreads 72 power on board to split
Hey Cozy long time lover of the channel. Hit infinite for the first time your discard deck! Always appreciate the guidance
I feel like Jeff is such a hard card to describe why hes so good. I was playing the hawk/black bolt list with nightcrawler in his place and was just hoverring around 70. I bought Jeff and then immediately shot to infinite 😅
The fact that Jeff being played as 2nd card while Sandman and/electro are on board is wild that he ignores that
I think Polaris is severely underrated in the current Meta. She can disrupt many and is useful depending on locations as well.
She's like that basketball player who doesn't get alot of stats but you can tell has made a impact in the game.
I just won a crazy game with Jeff right as alex was talking about how good he was.
Dude Iron Lad in Galactus is insane. I’ve ripped Galactus off of Lad so many times where it was an almost lost game from not seeing a ramp.
Luke cage turn2
Turn 3 goose and lizard
Turn A bishop turn 5 sera
Turn 6 Mysterio enchantress hut monkey and Angela
I stopped playing the game last season but I still look forward to these for entertainment
It’s funny how Iron Lad will be better every time we get new card, sure he is not big bad, but big good definitely
Hell yeah let’s go. Happy Memorial Day cozy and cozy gamers!
I think living tribunal might be a sneaky inclusion in a move list, make them think you are hiemdalling left and then spread power even
Anti Evo surfer is phenomenal.
My list isn't exactly this but it also runs shadow king which has been enormously successful at buffing a location back up.
Surfer is so good at beating high Evo with rogue it's actually a bit ridiculous
It's great to be able to experiment with decks when you are not in danger of falling out of rank.
Infinite is casual
70 is a warzone
I'm happy about one fact, new players will have 1 3 series free card, if they pick luke and than use the initial Tokens to buy high evo they can start they journey with a pretty strong deck remaining free 2 play players, I don't think the dev realizes that but I hope this will help increase the number of new players 😊
Make Wasp Pool 2 then pls ;)
Omg the big 3 0 congradz on having 30 episodes i have came a long way from ep one u guys are my fave podcast even if i leave the game i may still listen to this podcast
I play a lot of other games and it is honestly so refreshing to see content creators always so positive and optimistic about the game. Often creators can be super negative and ruin my excitement about the game.
It’s been fun playing him in early pool three, access to most of the cards that work with him but lots of people without Luke Cage still
This season was my first time reaching infinite thanks to cozys rocks and hawks team
Hey Cozy, when high evo came out. I used shocker with beast to use shocker again to keep lowering cost cards.
Luke Cage just gets Rougue’d or Enchantress’d so not really a counter. Now they are playing Wave on turn 5 so yeah playing against HE feels oppressive.
Wave is always a problem but with that said I like to play cage last if she isn't present. If I can Sera him on the board on 6 I tend to get 8 cubes
Please make a guide for Tribunal. I’ve been messing with like 10 different decks and deranked so much lmao. I’m just waiting for your video!
Zabu was my #1 too. I feel smart picking the same thing you guys did 🙂
Got to infinite for the first time using a High-Evo Thanos Lockjaw deck.
That version of high-evo feels a little bit underrated, the stones work so ridiculously well with all the evolved cards.
Got a link to the deck?
@@shadizumut5318 Wasp, Lockjaw, Wave, Cyclops, Shang-Chi, High-Evolutionary, Devil Dinosaur, Doctor Doom, America Chavez, Thanos, Hulk, and then either Killmonger or Abomination depending on how many 1 drops and Luke Cage's you play against.
At first i thought LT was trash, but turn out it become my first pick for this season. You only need to stack cosmo, iron man, on slaught, and some high power card to win.
What's a replacement for Wave in the Electro Ramp Deck?
I like when Shocker pulls one cost off the hulk so hulk can buff and cyclops can fire on turn 6.
Cloak + Wave turn 5 into Heimdall is a nice play
Shocker is my favorite card of HE. Control is my favorite and main archetype I’ve got infinite the past 4 season with it and shocker fits perfectly in my list putting him on a storm lane is basically a win
Did you mean cyclops? Cause Shocker just reduces left-most card cost by 1, so don't see how that works with storm XD
Is zabu going to drop down to pool 3 next month? Am willing to spend 3k but i dont wanna waste it if its gonna drop down
It’s just hit me that I’ve been playing this game for 6 months consistently. Wow
Is there a replacement for Modok?
Kitty and nebula being so good are reason enough why sunspot needs to go back to 1-1
How about sending over the living tribunal with a viper to spread the opponent high power cards?
You would have to cheat out LT to do this and that would mean your opponent is also putting out a big card and on top of that big card you are donating 6 power. I like the creative thinking but I’m not sure this idea would work in practice
I have been non-stop winning with a mastermold deck and I have no idea why.
Knull didn't live up? Forgive me on this one, since I wasn't playing Snap at the time that he dropped, but he seems fairly legit.
This season might break my infinite streak been there 3 seasons in the row but I got to 86 and dropped to 50 currently 70 rn
why doesn't rogue work when copied to another location?? maybe it's a bug..
love you guys!
stop rubbing salt in the wound that the 3 cards i don't have and won't anytime soon are darkhawk, galactus and knull lol
tx for the counter-deck recs!!
okay i saved up tokens for high evo and living tribunal but i’m regretting the living tribunal big time 😭 should’ve bought iron lad
All the dark hawk rave, I pulled him collection level 200, then didn’t pull rockslide till like 2500😭
It's funny how an OTA can change a way the game is played.
That Beast variant is awesome.
I just got big world eater and it has help me move to 80.. but I'm about get another 6000 should I get Thanos or high Evo or skip for next season
The best marvel snap podcast !
My cards don't match the descriptions of the ones you're showing for some reason
Do you have High Evolutionary?
@@AndrewNay no. I realized that's what they were showing after tho
Yeah I’ve been running highevo with surfer and uuuuhhhhh it kinda wrecks
Honestly, I think Galactus, High Evo and Hulk are one of my favourites. Using Wave or Psylocke on turn 4 (Electro kind of screams Galactus). People don't know what to expect, you didnt kill off a lot of cards so no ones thinking Knull and you havent played any of the other Evo cards so no one is expecting GOD Hulk. Play Galactus on a zone they are occupying and they cant even Shang
For me the best 2 drop has to be Luke, he’s just perfect to stop High Evo from running rampant. That being said I prefer playing invisible woman right now
I wish Darkhawk didn't get stuck in series 4, but I don't regret buying him for 3K tokens. I recommend everyone doing so. Rocks&Hawks is very fun. 😂
I don't have zabu and I still refuse to spend tokens on him because at some point I think he will drop down to pool 3 lol.
Living Tribunal Lockdown. Close out two lanes, then force power into them.
This was really helpful! I've been getting my butt kicked by High Evolutionary
Cozy if you didn’t say you were sick we would have no idea.
I find it interesting they nerfed HE before release, while simultaneously buffing Living Tribuna before hes released. Very. Interesting.
Living tribunal in a deck with iron man mystique will be very interesting to see
Enchantress is going to be legit the most used card when the living tribunal is out
My only issue with Daredevil is it makes both players more cautious.
@@CidCidCid snapping just because you play daredevil on T2 seems horrible, he’s strong but he’s not that strong
Iron lad or high evo I got 8 hours left and just hit 6000 tokens I’ve had iron lad pinned suggestions
Is Jeff worth 6k the next few weeks or is he about to drop to Pool 4?
Nice hat cozy
