Ive tried several decks with Phoenix Force but I feel like this is thé deck! Its so much better to clone big power across the board than get +3 when you move it merged with vulture. And then Taskmaster for a deadly combo is killer! I dont have Human Torch tho so Im using Dagger instead. Cant wait to try this deck today. Thanks Cozy! Glad I subscribed 2 days ago

I've heard Daredevil + Prof X (w/ priority) stops the phoenix play in its tracks. If the prof X goes off before the phoenix, it doesnt ressurect and combine. Its just the 5/6 body, which obviously makes it bad tempo, but it also can't be taskmastered for more than 6. That is currently the best counter by far that I know of
Love this deck idea, got beat by a similar one yesterday. I’m using the exact same format except dagger instead so I kept the kill monger for mirror/versatility. Good vid 🏆

The funniest part about Shang destroying Darkhawk against Gloopin is that it was a total flex. The match could have been won with just Korg + Rock t6, which is pretty crazy.
Of course as soon as i try the deck i run into multiple decks countering it. The few times it dod work though were satisfying. Seems like one to throw on the back burner and let people forget about it then bring it back.
20:00 I love how you bullseyed the Heimdall play but it didn't actually matter that Shang-Chi killed Darkhawk because you lost mid anyway. Ballsy play by opponent because they lose to any two cards on the left, and they knew they gave you some cheap cards and they knew you knew they had your Heimdall.
Had a crazy game with a similar deck earlier. Played Phoenix without prio on left lane, opponent plays goblin on mid lane deaths domain, it jumps over to my lane and dies. My Phoenix flips, turns in a goblin and jumps back over with 10 power for opponent thanks to shuri.
This is a different take than my list but plays similarly in a lot of ways. Mine is a more straightforward combo of move and destroy. I have ghost slider and dr strange for turn 6 if we go the multiple man, hulk buster, eaten by carnage/venom, revived by phoenix play to flood one location with multiple 13 power multiple men while also leaving existing copies. But also have zola to move a large human torch phoenix (or venom as a backup wincon) myself. I like the look of this and will give it a try as I tune my own list. Excellent one!

Ive been trying a more traditional destroy deck with a 4 card Phoenix package. I wasnt sure how shuri worked with Phoenix so i omitted her. Ofc now i have build a counter deck for this beast youve let lose into the world. I must say good sir youve done it again so i say good day to you.....i said good day!

Hey Cozy, something that I’ve always wondered about while watching your videos… you look to one side while pondering your plays then look another direction after the turn is over to see results. Do you have this game somehow split across multiple screens or are you looking at a tracker for turn results?
although i still haven't been able to get the right move alignment, i haven't lost yet with this deck. It's amazing, and i think that is really hard to read and predict. Even if you loose heimdall, you stil can put good numbers. Great deck Cozy! Tnx

Cozy you legend!! Forget rocks and hawks now! This IS the best deck out there! It takes a little while to get used to pilotting, but once that happens...Oh My!! Absolutely slaps! Thanks Cozy my man!
Try swapping out She Hulk and hulk buster for Zabu and Rescue. Play Rescue on 3, destroy her on 4 so she buffs to 9. Bring her back on 5 and she'll be 15 power and move her. Play taskmaster where she was and she'll buff to 20 power, and he copies the 20 power. To 20 power lanes aren't shabby.
In early experimentation with this deck, it's solid. The main issues you'll face is if you go the Shuri/Taskmaster route, Shang murders your soul. I've also had quite a few games where I'll draw both of my destroyers, and no PF, HT, or MM, making them dead cards in your hand, or PF and no Destroyers, and half of another win condition.
I swapped Heimdall and Zola for Nimrod and Galactus. I found sometimes if I didn't have all the stuff for move combo by turn 4, then I'd go the Nimrod Route. Also meming on people with Phoenix Force Galactus.
Cozy this deck is absolutely fire. I made some adjustments and after playing a bunch I felt like I never played Zola/Heimdall. So I decided to swap that for Galactus and Nimrod and it's insane. Especially in Conquest. Game 1 do the Red Skull Shuri or She-Hulk non sense then they whip out the Shang Chi and hit your Nimrod for absurd value. Honestly Hulkbuster has been one of the most valuable cards with its synergy in the move cards and Nimrod. Every once in a while I'd get a hand and combination of factors that wouldn't work but I climbed to infinite very quickly and no one really knew what was going on. Even have a few Phoenix Force Galactus wins lol. Just completely meming on everyone. High Evo stood no chance and most bounce lists didn't know what hit them.
I like Phoenix because it’s unique and it doesn’t fit into a ‘package’ (it’s not destroy, it’s not move etc). Good card games have many of these neutral type cards. There’s not a great amount of synergy with it yet from looking at it myself and I look forward figuring out how it synergizes with future cards. The deck I created in very similar to this one. It’s just a shame that people are lazy and don’t have the brain cells to make their own decks, so this deck will be all over ladder. Just like High Evo, Galactus etc.
A day after this video drops and I have been seeing about 35% of the decks I face drop a trun 6 Killmonger. You really do only get a day with a Cozy deck before the crowd knows it's out there. Makes snapping with this one in ladder very risky since most of the KMs came out of nowhere based on deck builds. So it's a for sure win big lose big deck since if you go all in on a Torch/Taskmaster combo.
I consider myself a pretty dumb player but saw another content creator's video before PF released and they were touting Attuma as working well with PF and a commenter said my suggestion to utilize Negasonic wouldn't work. Turns out Attuma is pretty garbage unless you have Armor set up already and Negasonic works pretty well. Maybe I'm not so dumb after all.
Thanks for this different variation deck build, and this is by far the most consistent one out of other PF decks I came across (the only card I don't have is Arnim Zola), I tried different decks from different streamers and played a few around 10 proving ground full matches. I find that Phoenix Force decks are really inconsistent compared to my HE deck. I will have games that don't see PF at all (that's where your other cards in your deck come into play, which kinda works sometimes), or I never drew a destroy card or all destroy cards but no move cards, or vice versa. Overall, this season's card felt underwhelming compared to the previous 3 seasons (that's when I started to play SNAP). Maybe it's just me, maybe others have better luck with their card draws. So far, the most consistent archetype I find is HE. The most fun to play archetype is Move, would love to try Bounce decks if I have the cards. I love the look of this deck, it really tempts me to grab this card after passing on the past few season passes. I hope they make more cards that enable more hybrid decks like this!
IMHO, if I were you, I would pass on this one. The past 3 seasons' cards to me are better than this one, very situational and a card that needs two archetypes to play in just takes up too many card slots to narrow down the chances of getting a certain card in your deck.
I'm playing a Nimrod Phoenix Force Deck, If I don't draw Phoenix Force I can just play Nimrod on my Shuri and destroy him twice on turn 6 with Venom/Carnage/Deathlock
I love the deck, I'm real hesitant to play Torch because Killmonger is for sure going to rise back up. I was thinking of doing some sort of Vulture-Surfer-Phoenix deck, but I haven't settled down to make a deck yet.
I feel like wave, black panther, venom, phoenix force could be an unexpected combo. That's 28 power from phoenix force in one lane, 11 from venom in the original BP lane, and then wave plus whatever you played on turns 1 and 2, plus a potential 1 cost card played on turn 6. And if you don't draw phoenix force, some sort of high power 5 cost card plus odin on turn 6 or something would work as well
Honestly so much comes down to skill. I know that’s an area I’m lacking. His Negative Pink is an amazing deck but I lost massive tanks trying to play it. This, the same. I’ve played 2 or 3 silver games and got caught with my pants down each time. Either Shang or Ham hits exactly what I’m trying to do and it makes it so frustrating. Doesn’t bode well against the still prevalent HE matchups, either. I will also admit my snap/retreat skills are sorely lacking, too.😢
Same. Never get cards in the right order. always end up with weird combos that do not do anything. Super frustrating. Then you watch him play and he is getting all his cards perfectly every round. I dont understand.
2 questions about PF 1: does the recived card play it on reveal ability while behing revived? 2:does PF ability can be copy by absorbing man?( Pf is still consider in "play"?
1. Yes, the revived card triggers "on reveal". 2. No, after Phoenix Force merges with the revived card, it's the revived card, so Absorbing Man won't copy PF's on-reveal; Absorbing Man would copy the revived card's on-reveal if it had any. (I think this is how Hulkbuster currently works.)
Hi Cozy, thanks a lot for the video! I used your deck, my Phoenix Force merged with my distroyed Hulkbuster, turned into a 4power Hulkbuster, then merged with the other card in the location (4power Carnage) and turned into a 8power Carnage. Now not only it cannot move, but also lost the 6 power of Phoenix. Why?
The ingame audio is still messed up, sounds so dulled, there's no "oompf", it's so flat, feels like there's no bass ever since your headphones broke, even though you have the same model again it seems. Probably to do with some surround sound setting that changed and doesn't translate well to recording/other audio devices
See this was my first thought was a Human Torch Multiple man style list. I tried running destroy ramp and using destroyer turn 5 and Phoenix Force on 6. It's okay but this is far better. Honestly,they made this card as the Human Torch saver. Why touch Human Torch when you can just make a card that saves it. I hope they do more hybrid cards in the future because Phoenix Force is very interesting.

Shadow King is slowly going up in everyone's priority.
He’s absolutely incredible to shut down move and destroy decks. Putting venoms/carnage/human torch/vulture down to base power on last turn

Overall, this season's card felt underwhelming compared to the previous 3 seasons (that's when I started to play SNAP). Maybe it's just me, maybe others have better luck with their card draws. So far, the most consistent archetype I find is HE. The most fun to play archetype is Move, would love to try Bounce decks if I have the cards. I love the look of this deck, it really tempts me to grab this card after passing on the past few season passes. I hope they make more cards that enable more hybrid decks like this!
IMHO, if I were you, I would pass on this one. The past 3 seasons' cards to me are better than this one, very situational and a card that needs two archetypes to play in just takes up too many card slots to narrow down the chances of getting a certain card in your deck.

I'm playing a Nimrod Phoenix Force Deck, If I don't draw Phoenix Force I can just play Nimrod on my Shuri and destroy him twice on turn 6 with Venom/Carnage/Deathlock

I love the deck, I'm real hesitant to play Torch because Killmonger is for sure going to rise back up. I was thinking of doing some sort of Vulture-Surfer-Phoenix deck, but I haven't settled down to make a deck yet.
Destroy decks kinda thrive while people experiment with Phoenix Force cause you get a little boost to the Death/Knull combo as a counter.

I feel like wave, black panther, venom, phoenix force could be an unexpected combo. That's 28 power from phoenix force in one lane, 11 from venom in the original BP lane, and then wave plus whatever you played on turns 1 and 2, plus a potential 1 cost card played on turn 6. And if you don't draw phoenix force, some sort of high power 5 cost card plus odin on turn 6 or something would work as well
How about this: Electro, Black Panther, Zola, Phoenix Force

Black Panther doubles BEFORE merging with the phoenix force. 8*2+6 = 22

Honestly so much comes down to skill. I know that’s an area I’m lacking. His Negative Pink is an amazing deck but I lost massive tanks trying to play it.
This, the same. I’ve played 2 or 3 silver games and got caught with my pants down each time.
Either Shang or Ham hits exactly what I’m trying to do and it makes it so frustrating. Doesn’t bode well against the still prevalent HE matchups, either.
I will also admit my snap/retreat skills are sorely lacking, too.😢
Same. Never get cards in the right order. always end up with weird combos that do not do anything. Super frustrating. Then you watch him play and he is getting all his cards perfectly every round. I dont understand.
Hey Cozy have you considered a build with Nimrod, been using it very effectively and been real nice synergy with the deck as an alt win condition

2 questions about PF 1: does the recived card play it on reveal ability while behing revived? 2:does PF ability can be copy by absorbing man?( Pf is still consider in "play"?
1. Yes, the revived card triggers "on reveal".
2. No, after Phoenix Force merges with the revived card, it's the revived card, so Absorbing Man won't copy PF's on-reveal; Absorbing Man would copy the revived card's on-reveal if it had any. (I think this is how Hulkbuster currently works.)
phoenix force doesn't merge with hulk buster, it just revives it. hulk buster merges with the other card first so its not there for phoenix

I used your deck, my Phoenix Force merged with my distroyed Hulkbuster, turned into a 4power Hulkbuster, then merged with the other card in the location (4power Carnage) and turned into a 8power Carnage. Now not only it cannot move, but also lost the 6 power of Phoenix. Why?

I am running a deck with dark hawk, phoenix, venom, carnage, human torch and vulture its doing fairly well in conquest due to no one expects dark hawk
The ingame audio is still messed up, sounds so dulled, there's no "oompf", it's so flat, feels like there's no bass ever since your headphones broke, even though you have the same model again it seems. Probably to do with some surround sound setting that changed and doesn't translate well to recording/other audio devices

See this was my first thought was a Human Torch Multiple man style list. I tried running destroy ramp and using destroyer turn 5 and Phoenix Force on 6. It's okay but this is far better.
Honestly,they made this card as the Human Torch saver. Why touch Human Torch when you can just make a card that saves it. I hope they do more hybrid cards in the future because Phoenix Force is very interesting.
