This game's map is literally Breath of The Wild size, you just can't climb and glide on it lol Either way, amazing Still i don't like how Millick Meadows(the New Gaur Plain/Gormott) looks like Minecraft farlands
Well, many sidequests and especially hero missions lead you to almost every place and they actually feel like main content with dramatic cutscenes and everything that adds to the story. This game is so packed with content.
i actually appreciate it, since those places actually reserved for use in hero quest and some secret/exploration. so you dont backtrack to the exact same place too many times because of side quest like xenoblade 1 or many other jrpg.
I don't think I've seen it mentioned, but if you go to the Great Sword's Hilt (where that City warehouse is) and look up in the right place, you can see Galahad Fortress and its weird pointy antennae
Okay regarding the idea at 2:00 there is a spot in Origin (the platform just south of the Hangar, Lower: Main Gate landmark) where you are looking south outside which would be directly towards the Syra Hovering Reefs. Between the moving walls of Origin you can clearly make out Mor Ardain's arm, hand, and even that weird arch thingy on his shoulder. Keves Castle Region is 100% supposed to be the remains of the Mor Ardain Titan.
You forgot to mention Vandam who was the most inspirational and impactful NPC who sacrificed himself twice for the MPCs. He was in both XC2/XC3. Man's a Legend.
@@GrandChaseHotStuven I had thought about that too. If you go look at the statue of House of Vandham in the city he looks very resemble to Noah. Remember when M birth a child, she even said that he looks more like his father.
If the Keves Castle region is Mor Ardain, that means the XC2 castle is located in the imperial region of XC1 and the XC1 castle is located in the imperial region of XC2.
I think a lot of the inconsistencies like Mor Ardain still having it's armor Torna areas existing at all can be explained by the fact that Origin is more so supposed to be a record of the worlds rather than a exact copy of their current state
How did it take me this long to realize that Maktha Wildwood and Erythia Sea are combinations of XC1 and 2 areas? Makna and Morytha, and Eryth and Leftheria.
Just noticed, keves Castle is in a very important xenoblade 2 place (basically where the mord ardain city should be) while agnus Castle is basically where the high entia city was, is like the opposite on purpose
One thing I think is neat is how when you do the postgame thing to unlock Melia as a hero the person she talks to is called like eizel or something and that’s the same name as one of the guards that died when she fought the telethia in the first game.
A detail that I love about three is how the main party acts as forms of homages. With eunie being an homage to melly and fiora and lanz being an homage to reyn
A small thing I like is that Melia's guard when recruiting her as a hero has the same name as one of her guards that fucking dies before she joins the party in Xeno 1
I think I may have figured out some other titans/parts of the Bionis. Everblight Plain seems similar to Temperantia, and, considering that it's a snowy area near to the Bionis' head, Captocorn Field might be the remains of Valak Mountain.
Okay, the mentioning of Morytha and Makana together made me realize that Maktha is just the two names stitched together. I recognized the Mak part, but the mention of Morytha made me realize the other half. There is a region in the Erytha sea with the super boss, it’s called the Aegis Sea. It obviously has something to do with XC2, but I can’t quite think of what it would be. My best guess would be the Aegishammer from Temperantia.
Maktha is honestly perhaps my favorite area in XC3. It's beautiful but eerily haunting, and its music, especially in the low level, is foreboding and gives you the feeling of "We shouldn't be here." in a very unique way from most tracks in 3 games. I love that for the most part it's also almost an optional area, too, the lower region. It's actually not as dangerous as it first seems, if you're careful; there's even a whole quest down there with one of the Seven Nopon that you can do literally on your first visit to the forest that has you wandering around down there and just baaaaarely skirting by dangerous mob territory. But it's rare that you're given an area that is EXTREMELY out of your league that you actually have more reason to carefully explore than for just sequence breaking. There's also only one skip travel point down there, and a second (sort of) if you can sneak your way to the elevator in the south, so if you die you really have to make a trek. You can only actually really start feeling familiar with it once you're strong enough to slay some of its unique monsters and use their graves as skip travel points. It really feels like you're exploring a hostile place where you're not supposed to be, and the very haunting skeletons of Morytha's buildings composing the environment sort of subconsciously reminds you that this place is essentially a gigantic graveyard.
The thing i love about maktha is that to me, it implies that the parties of xc1 and 2 HAD to be exploring aionios together. No other group of people would be able yo recognize their fusion
If you take another look at the arm of Mor Ardain near Keves Castle, you'll notice that *is* its right arm. The fin-like decoration on the titan's back and shoulder lines up perfectly, meaning that it's definitely Mor Ardain. Its front is just facing the castle, but has almost entirely crumbled away and become the floating reef.
Shulk is the guy with the long hair and one arm, that's his statue. Whilst Rex is the big guy who lost an eye. It pays homage to each respective "older brother" member of their parties. Dunban lost his arm due to the monado hence why Shulk also lost his and Rex losing an eye is coz Zeke also has one eye... well one contact lense
It's interesting how the plot of both games aren't brought up much despite how you'd need to play them both to understand what the areas are referencing
I mean to be fair the references of the areas aren't integral to the game other than Maktha Wildwood, which Nia directly points out Morytha. And even then she's somewhat vague and only talks about the buildings showing the hubris of man
That is what makes xenoblade game great. Sure it's nice to know all the context relating to things but each game is completely stand-alone and can be enjoyed by anyone for the story it tells. It's a great design choice as well since their games are super long. Not everyone has the time to play 200 hours worth of XC1 and XC2 before playing XC3 so for those people who want to get into a series with a new release it's perfect for them
@@noodle4542 they kinda are though, this game is all blade eater and fleash eater tech, the science is abstract because the MCs dont know what came before, but the whole 10 year eather source modulation is directly from 2 which was a more democratized life flow than 1
the place where you thought was the spirit crucible also gave me vibes of the secret area found in the Tephra cave, where all the spiders and monkeys are level 90 (and there are Giants tombs in there). the color aesthetic and ambience is honestly the same minus the locking of power.
in front of michiba's resturant there is Samon's workshop, behind it there is a stair that leads to the roof of it, you can find a big nopon house built in red wood, the house stylistically resembles the argenteum, furthermore, facing the house, jumping on the grassy patch to the right, you can zoom out and have a look at what resembles a very simplified version of the argenteum insigna
At the 5:55 part there is a part of the ether mines in xc1 that looks like that it’s a secret area Edit: Glowmoss lake is the name but it’s a small area so it doesn’t make too much sense but still
The statue that looks like Shulk isn't actually Shulk. That's a Kevesian Soldier who became a founder. They were also an engineer and made their own weapon so they might have been Kevesian clone of Shulk or someone that just resembles him a little too much. There are 2 statues there which actually show an older Shulk and Rex. Shulk looks like Dunban, has longer hair, wears a cape, and even lost an arm during the fight with Moebius which he replaced with a mechanical one. Rex is much taller, muscular, and even dual wielded Mythra and Pyra's swords. He also lost an eye and had to wear an eyepatch much like Zeke.
@mabangin The descriptions for the other statues are for the founders. The statues of Shulk and Rex explicitly state that they were the founders mentors.
At 3:30 reminds me of the Oblivia rings from X that some people speculate to be part of the Mechonis. It's definitely not that, but just reminded me of that
There's a table in the city (where you talk to Monica) which looks exactly like that table in the baracks of Xenoblade X, and the city also feels inspired by NLA in Xenoblade X, both are cities with big walls in an almost alien planet.
The area that you considered to be part of the mechonis centrak factory is actually the wrist of the fallen arm, visible from the distant fingertip in both games
Interesting video! You should make a series on this with more secrets :) One that stood out to me immediately was the fact that XC3 Vandham's fellow soldiers were named Zuo and Yew , which were also the name of XC2 Vandham's assistants for the Garfont Mercenaries in Uraya.
The 1st (2nd) Pillar Remnants in the Candensia Region (as far as I know and can tell) are pillars from Spirit Crucible Ebys. I love the work that went into this game.
One smaller detail on Nia that I noticed, aside from borrowing the Aegis swords, she's also got Mythra's tights and garterbelt as well, which is super neat to me
If you head to the top of Swordmarch, you can see Gallahad Fortress still in tact on the side of the sword. It's covered in frost and has lost a lot of its sheen. But that's definitely it. It's up and to the right of the plateau that you first walk on when you visit Sworchmarch.
I love that turning the sword vertical totally recontextualizes what used to be its valleys and canyons, and it's one of those things that makes you go "I wonder what all these were even HERE for originally" (they seemed to just be "decorative engravings" that were taken and used by its inhabitants after all)
man it's so cool that they managed to tuck away so many hidden things from both worlds into this mishmash that you'd be completely clueless on without having seen them yourself like it took longer than i'd like to admit for it to click that erythia sea is half leftheria half eryth sea
It’s strongly implied by many design decisions that the mechois was used to build parts of keves castles and their half of origin also probably most of their tech. Kinda similar to the implications that Siren and the artifices were implemented in agnus castle and tech.
This is definitely a good start to a video of secrets. There are more for sure though both things I noticed in Erythia (that I unfortunately just can't think of) and just out of a feeling. The area you said is Elpys I'm not entirely sure on though. A good lot of Elpys remnants are found on Lavi Sandbar.
There are some XCX references too, there are some sound effects from X that you cant miss - and also in swordmarch near the base of the mechonis sword there's those round puffy silver flowers from sylvalum

In my personal opinion: -Aetia Everblight Plain's geography brings the lower levels of Tantal to mind, northern Aetia is clearly made up of Gormott while southern Aetia is mostly Gaur Plain. -Fornis Western Fornis contains structures similar to those found in Bionis Interior, central Fornis is obviously Fallen Arm, eastern Fornis is Dannagh Desert from Torna, southern Fornis could be more of Torna mixed with Bionis Shoulder. -Urayan Mountains The Urayan mountains seem to be a mixture of Uraya and Tephra Cave. -Pentelas Pentelas is primarily made up by Makna Forest and Morytha. -Keves Castle Area Keves Castle Area is clearly the hand, arm and shoulder of Mor Ardain, it may also contain the Ether Mines. -Keves Castle Keves Castle is a heavily remodeled Alcamoth. -Cadensia Southern Cadensia is very nondescript but it may incorporate elements of Satorl Marsh and Temperantia. -Swordmarch Swordmarch is obviously Sword Valley, Galahad Fortress is also visible. -Erythia Sea Erythia Sea contains Eryth Sea, Leftheria, Valak Mountain, Spirit Crucible Elpys and elements of both the head of the Bionis and Indol's titan. -Agnus Castle Agnus Castle is a new construction but like most things Agnus it is heavily inspired by Torna's culture. -Origin Origin may incorporate repurposed parts of both Mechonis and the World Tree.
Wow thanks for your work ! Just spoiled me riki little weapon that may cracked my heart, but overall helped me see how much this game has references. Also good to see somehow they will make rex and shulk appear in game with the founders.

Man, just seeing all the ruins of the past two games just makes me feel sad and mournful. After hundreds, probably even thousands of years have passed and seeing all the landforms buried and becoming one with the Earth was so trippy to me. The ones that hit hardest for me was the Mechonis Sword, Uraya and Fonda Myma, and the Fallen Arm.
wow, great video, even though i played the first and second game extensively, the huge gap between their release date year and this game has done a number on my memory. im suprised by the number of things that should have given me a huge nostalgia trip, but i couldnt recognize anymore. also, i never played Xenoblade X, but the game has that one cliffside named after the forerunners, right? there might be lots of X references going way over my head too.
Thank you :) Regarding X... probably. Though its the only game i havent played yet. But some peeps in the comments told me a few details, so i should do a second part with them included aswell :D
Tantal is Captocorn Peak. If you look at it from Melnath's Shoulder or Everblight Plain it's pretty clearly Tantal's shell - Captocorn Peak is actually on top of the shell, which we obviously never explored in XC2. I guess the rest of Tantal disappeared in annihilation events.
Mechonis' rusted out corpse is there by Keves Castle. That arm is is Mechonis' right arm and you can see it's head and left arm on the eastern sides of the area
@evenant So what put me off a bit from it being Mor Ardain's arm is that random arch you can see that looks like it would belong to the Mechonis, but if you look at pictures of Mor Ardain you can see that that object actually sits on its shoulder. It's at an odd angle here, but that can be explained by shifting landmasses.
@evenant The only instance I remember where Taion mentions the Mechonis arm is in the desert near Colonies 4 and Iota. And there he's refering to the literal fallen arm from XC1 that you can just go over to and climb around on.
Spoilers for end game Noah and mio relationship seems to embody everything that jin wanted from to xb2 but shows how it would eventually fail. Jin states at some point in torna that he doesn’t want forever to live , just this one moment. Ironically the world of xb3 give him both of these options. It is implied from Jin’s journal and his talk with azurda that jin never changes and begins his life in pretty much the same way He gets a driver, gets attached , maybe even romantically and ends up sad as he and the driver pass away. Noah grew tired of seeing his love die only to be reborn runite and have it happen again. I think Noah’s consul form even references jin as it is the only one besides mios to have a mask instead of. Helm . He also wields a powerful nodachi and seems to be able to move faster than other enemies
Except I’d honestly say that while N pays homage to Jin they are polar opposites. Jin became a monster out of grief, but he never looked for a way to bring back Lora, and if he did it was only to just live one last moment with her. He lives to keep her memory alive, and about 500 years of being witness to Indol’s crimes against his kind and after what they did to Lora and his basically family have turned him into a spiteful monster. N started out only wanting the best, but after too many times being reborn, falling in love and then losing that love he ends up compromising his morals for his own gain by making a bargain with the devil and bringing back his Mio at the cost of both of them becoming Moebius, he becomes obsessive and possessive of Mio and forces himself to believe it was impossible all along to stop Moebius, and when you can’t beat them, join them, and he becomes a defender of the Endless Now. Jin lives in the memory of Lora, maybe not to uphold her beliefs but to honour her memory, yes. He keeps her in the Torna base for a reason, as a reminder to why he’s doing this, to take revenge upon the monstrous world which took her away from him. N is an obsessive and possessive monster unable to look back and see what a monster he became because he was blinded by his love for Mio which lead him to become what he sought to destroy. But honestly that’s my take, I greatly enjoy both characters
if you look closely, the marsh area in front of trhe Swordface should also be spirit crucible elpys if you look closely you can see the plant shapes are exactly the same
Thanks for the vid! :) Seeing those connections is nice indead and they melted both worlds in a cool way! I only got the obvious references, it was cool to see something about the smaller ones

colony gamma area name is melnath shoulder, the same area found in XC2, so aetia is basically Gormott. In Fornis there is fingertip summit, which not Mor Ardain but Mechonis. Mor Ardain is close to Uraya titan actually since you can see the hand from Erythia Sea. The sea however is Bionis region. Areas in this game basically consist of both games
The game also has lots of Xenogears/Saga nods and expies SPOILERS TO BOTH XENOGEARS, SAGA AND BLADES AHEAD The ones from Gears are Noah's Ouroboros being inspired by Weltal and Eunie's by Vierge; Consul D's masked design being inspired by Grahf; Keves and Agnus being inspired by Kislev and Aveh; the City being a moveable fortress operating outside the 2 warring nations and aware of the true nature of the world being an expy of Shevat; M and N being expies of Lacan and Sophia; Noah and Mio's multiple tragic pasts being similar to Fei and Ellie's pasts; Triton being an expy of the Thames' Captain Then from Saga you have the Consuls being expies of Testaments and Moebius of Gnosis; Origin being the Zarathustra system; Z a more villainous Wilhelm; the Iris' blade summoning interface being akin to KOS-MOS UMN weapon summoning system And maybe some more that I forgot or didn't notice
btw the area just before entering mechonis sword is bionis interior I'm pretty sure, and its not just the desert from torna that is on that map - the whole upper green area is tornian titan too
Actually. The Great Sword's Base is made up of Leftherian Titans. There are plant like things there that are from Leftheria and there’s even one of the small Leftherian Titans there too
2:00 that highlight is definitely Mor Ardain looking at it now (or whatever is left of it) I also thought that arm was from the Mechonis at first but I can conclude it's not now. From the position of the green outline, it is facing the Uryan titan which means its left arm is indeed missing while extending its right arm outward. Also, that area is the same terrain and barren landscape as Mor Ardain in the entire game.
i didn't notice so many things , but i noticed that the Elaice highway theme song looked like the machina village song and then noticed the hand, it litterally jumped on my face
I fanboyed so hard whenever I noticed some areas or hints of the older titles and for some I was constantly like "this is that area.. right? noooo... but maybeee?" Thanks for the video, some of these confirmed my suspicions.
Seeing a Torna area makes you wonder, since It was a dead Titan that sunk beneath the could Sea, onto Morytha, already before Alrest fused the loving titans together
Besides it's severed arm, the Mechonis' head and most of it's body isn't in XC3 because it was destroyed in XC1. However near the end of XC3 it is clearly referenced with Origin's Ferronis form. The Mechonis' Sword also wasn't shown in this video, but it is obviously XC1 reference that is unavoidable when it comes to XC3 considering it is on the cover and title screen for starters. The first "town" area with NPCs that you go to that the main character also resides in is Colony 9, similar to Shulk in XC1, despite the two being seemingly unrelated design wise. The Hero eventually known as Segiri was first designated unit No. 7 by the Mobius is a anti Ouroboros humanoid android. This and the odd conversation surrounding this character having a number for a name could be a reference to a XC1 popular fan given nickname(Seven) to the seventh main party member who joins the party later on, so they could still have discussion about the character, but be respectful towards those who haven't reached that part of the story yet. Noah expresses his disappointment to Riku that his Blade weapon doesn't have symbols which is a reference to Shulk's Monado.
Ortiz’s founder isn’t Shulk, it’s the house of Reid. It’s pretty clear that no previous characters (including NPCs) of the first 2 games were not chosen for the infinite cycle of life by Z, only the offspring that were 10 or younger by the time the worlds were frozen when Origin failed to boot up.
That’s Dunban. The statue has a similar oufit to Dunban, long hair, and mentions his ”Indomitable Will” and how he lost his arm while wielding a red sword. Sound familiar? The Shulk statue mentions that he was a mechanical genius who built his own weapons, just like the Shulk we know.
Nice to see German ^_^ I was stunned when Nia told about the remains of Morytha which I didn't even discover before since I thought it was Makna (from the similar name) Some areas like Melneth's xxx reminded me of Mayneth 😊
It might have been a typo or accident and Mor Ardain doesn't have a left arm but the arm that the video points out is a right arm not a left one so it is fair to say that Mor Ardain does make an appearance.
i am not crying! you are crying! 100% xDDD poor melia! even when she wins, she loses... i have read that alvis could be riku... xDDDDD it's crazy but it could make sense (he has been there since the begining, he "found" the sword and he aknowledge something with melia when you free her)
I'm pretty sure Tantal is supposed to be the area you're in at the beginning of the game. Notice the large, dome-like structure that the floating pieces of land form. Also, the music has almost the same notes and rhythm in the quire part of Tantal's theme. It's most likely that the Titan has been hollowed out from the annihilation event.
A 4th dimension force can mirror any 3d object. That is it can flip a 3d object amd make it look like a mirrored version. Since there time bullcrap there are definitely 4th dimensional forces involved. That's why the titan is mirrored.
The 2 statues of (if you were guessing, Rex and Duncan [or shulk for those who are guessing that]{which are the two middle ones from walking through the door}) are actually said to be mentors of two of the founders and not founders themselves. This game's map is literally Breath of The Wild size, you just can't climb and glide on it lol
Either way, amazing
Still i don't like how Millick Meadows(the New Gaur Plain/Gormott) looks like Minecraft farlands
They also play a mix of Swordvalley theme there.
@@Midna78 I thought they only played that at the Sword’s Base, I’ll definitely listen for it
Yeah and if you look up from the highest level of Swordmarch you can see all the platforms and pathways that were on Sword Valley
There's a Vandham in every Xenoblade game, it's just a recurring name like Cid in Final Fantasy, not an actual connection.
@@t.m.7779 there is a whole theory that Vandham is the child N and M had in one of their lives.
@@GrandChaseHotStuven A theory is just a theory. Also it's still not a connection to the other Vandhams of the other games
@@t.m.7779 Actually the Nia questlines basically state the Vandahm line in XB3 is directly from the XB2 world,
@@GrandChaseHotStuven I had thought about that too.
I think a lot of the inconsistencies like Mor Ardain still having it's armor Torna areas existing at all can be explained by the fact that Origin is more so supposed to be a record of the worlds rather than a exact copy of their current state
Well, Mechonis sword itself was destroyed along with Mechonis in XC1, and yet it is still there.
@@lentinant it could just be that Alvis remade it lol

How did it take me this long to realize that Maktha Wildwood and Erythia Sea are combinations of XC1 and 2 areas? Makna and Morytha, and Eryth and Leftheria.
7:50 - Fun Fact: Xenogears was known as Project Noah
wait what?
Took me a hot minute to register that Maktha Wildwood was a literal combination of *MAK*na forest and the land of mory*THA*
Erythia Sea is basically Eryth Sea + Leftheria.
Bro. My mind has been blown. Good lord!
Just noticed, keves Castle is in a very important xenoblade 2 place (basically where the mord ardain city should be) while agnus Castle is basically where the high entia city was, is like the opposite on purpose
It seems like Keves Castle's not Alba Cavanich since that had been on the Left Shoulder and Keves Castle's on the Right Shoulder.

One thing I think is neat is how when you do the postgame thing to unlock Melia as a hero the person she talks to is called like eizel or something and that’s the same name as one of the guards that died when she fought the telethia in the first game.
Nearly cried after seeing riki,s weapon/grave and there are more places from 1 and 2 than i thought but this makes me happy that there are so much

Captocorn is literally frozen Gormott, that's why *she* rests here
It has the big roots above the void, the music has some similarities to Gormott, etc...
The ost has the Auresco motif
And everblight is a ruined warzone. Not temperantia.
@@samreddig8819 It still could be and even if not, it’s not hard to see how that could be confused. Temperantia was also a ruined warzone
I thought it was from Torna where Jin and Lora met Mikhail the first time in that town that Malos blew up personally :)
There’s another statue for Shulk
@@HL-kt3ib Where? Because the only one I know is the one in City. Where he looks like Zanza
@@SirStrikeFreedom Yeah that’s the one I meant, cuz you said Shulk is the guy without an arm haha
Also they're the only 2 statues that depict the mentors and not the actual founders themselves.
The statue is of Dunban, not Shulk. It’s listed as the founder's 'mentor', and Dunban definitely fits that role.
It's interesting how the plot of both games aren't brought up much despite how you'd need to play them both to understand what the areas are referencing
I mean to be fair the references of the areas aren't integral to the game other than Maktha Wildwood, which Nia directly points out Morytha. And even then she's somewhat vague and only talks about the buildings showing the hubris of man
I prefer it this way because it is rewarding to hardcore fans.
I mean they said multiple times that new players could start with XC3. As cool as the location references are, they aren't integral to anything
Nia when talking about creating Origin references a certain nopon helping her build it, Id believe she is talking about Tora here.
at the beginning when vandham dies he has two buddys with im "Yew and Zuo" both of them are in XB2 and there is also a quest which refers to them
in front of michiba's resturant there is Samon's workshop, behind it there is a stair that leads to the roof of it, you can find a big nopon house built in red wood, the house stylistically resembles the argenteum, furthermore, facing the house, jumping on the grassy patch to the right, you can zoom out and have a look at what resembles a very simplified version of the argenteum insigna
i noticed the same symbol is painted on the front
At the 5:55 part there is a part of the ether mines in xc1 that looks like that it’s a secret area
Edit: Glowmoss lake is the name but it’s a small area so it doesn’t make too much sense but still
The statue that looks like Shulk isn't actually Shulk.
They clearly are Shulk and Rex. Just they weren't founders, they didn't have Ouroboros powers.
Might be juju
@mabangin novels covered in cream.
@mabangin The descriptions for the other statues are for the founders. The statues of Shulk and Rex explicitly state that they were the founders mentors.
Pretty sure that statue is actually Shulk and the one you’re talking about is Dunban.
The distant fingertip is a vista too in Xeno 3, and it still has the leap of faith into a lake!
A bit about the Spirit Crucible, to turn into Ouroboros they turn into ether to fuse, meaning your theory might have merit even more

The Oblivia Rings ARE from the Mechonis lol
There's a table in the city (where you talk to Monica) which looks exactly like that table in the baracks of Xenoblade X, and the city also feels inspired by NLA in Xenoblade X, both are cities with big walls in an almost alien planet.
The area that you considered to be part of the mechonis centrak factory is actually the wrist of the fallen arm, visible from the distant fingertip in both games
Interesting video! You should make a series on this with more secrets :)
One that stood out to me immediately was the fact that XC3 Vandham's fellow soldiers were named Zuo and Yew , which were also the name of XC2 Vandham's assistants for the Garfont Mercenaries in Uraya.
When I found that out that hit me hard in the feels
I love that turning the sword vertical totally recontextualizes what used to be its valleys and canyons, and it's one of those things that makes you go "I wonder what all these were even HERE for originally" (they seemed to just be "decorative engravings" that were taken and used by its inhabitants after all)
finished Xeno3, loved most of it, but cant help but miss my old characters from xeno 1 and 2
one of my favorites that you didnt mention is colony gamma having the same layout as Garfront from xenoblade 2
man it's so cool that they managed to tuck away so many hidden things from both worlds into this mishmash that you'd be completely clueless on without having seen them yourself
like it took longer than i'd like to admit for it to click that erythia sea is half leftheria half eryth sea
Do they have a name by any chance? XCX is the only one i havent played yet, but i'd love to include them in another video :)

In my personal opinion:
-Aetia
Everblight Plain's geography brings the lower levels of Tantal to mind, northern Aetia is clearly made up of Gormott while southern Aetia is mostly Gaur Plain.
-Fornis
Western Fornis contains structures similar to those found in Bionis Interior, central Fornis is obviously Fallen Arm, eastern Fornis is Dannagh Desert from Torna, southern Fornis could be more of Torna mixed with Bionis Shoulder.
-Urayan Mountains
The Urayan mountains seem to be a mixture of Uraya and Tephra Cave.
-Pentelas
Pentelas is primarily made up by Makna Forest and Morytha.
-Keves Castle Area
Keves Castle Area is clearly the hand, arm and shoulder of Mor Ardain, it may also contain the Ether Mines.
-Keves Castle
Keves Castle is a heavily remodeled Alcamoth.
-Cadensia
Southern Cadensia is very nondescript but it may incorporate elements of Satorl Marsh and Temperantia.
-Swordmarch
Swordmarch is obviously Sword Valley, Galahad Fortress is also visible.
-Erythia Sea
Erythia Sea contains Eryth Sea, Leftheria, Valak Mountain, Spirit Crucible Elpys and elements of both the head of the Bionis and Indol's titan.
-Agnus Castle
Agnus Castle is a new construction but like most things Agnus it is heavily inspired by Torna's culture.
-Origin
Origin may incorporate repurposed parts of both Mechonis and the World Tree.

The ones that hit hardest for me was the Mechonis Sword, Uraya and Fonda Myma, and the Fallen Arm.

BTW, bare in mind that the Mor Ardain Titan is facing towards Keves Castle, so it's arms are in the right spot
Yeah, from the point of view you can easily see it's a right hand, not a left hand.
@evenant Likely concepts from earlier on that found their way into the final game. It's not uncommon in game development
Spoilers for end game
Noah and mio relationship seems to embody everything that jin wanted from to xb2 but shows how it would eventually fail. Jin states at some point in torna that he doesn’t want forever to live , just this one moment. Ironically the world of xb3 give him both of these options. It is implied from Jin’s journal and his talk with azurda that jin never changes and begins his life in pretty much the same way
He gets a driver, gets attached , maybe even romantically and ends up sad as he and the driver pass away.
Noah grew tired of seeing his love die only to be reborn runite and have it happen again.
I think Noah’s consul form even references jin as it is the only one besides mios to have a mask instead of. Helm . He also wields a powerful nodachi and seems to be able to move faster than other enemies
Damn... well done. Makes a lot of sense. I love this Series so much 🙃
Except I’d honestly say that while N pays homage to Jin they are polar opposites.
But honestly that’s my take, I greatly enjoy both characters
if you look closely, the marsh area in front of trhe Swordface should also be spirit crucible elpys if you look closely you can see the plant shapes are exactly the same
This game is just full of easter eggs, I love it.

7:51 “Even Fey from Xenogears is here.”
The dlc: are you sure about that
2:00 that highlight is definitely Mor Ardain looking at it now (or whatever is left of it)
I also thought that arm was from the Mechonis at first but I can conclude it's not now. From the position of the green outline, it is facing the Uryan titan which means its left arm is indeed missing while extending its right arm outward. Also, that area is the same terrain and barren landscape as Mor Ardain in the entire game.
also is to small to be onw arm of mechonis, one finger of the fallen arm is bigger than that arm.
Triton's dialogue is also a callback to xenogears.
i didn't notice so many things , but i noticed that the Elaice highway theme song looked like the machina village song and then noticed the hand, it litterally jumped on my face
You can find the remains of Tantal in Erythia Sea. It's that area on the way to the entrance of Sword Valley.
I'm pretty sure that's just the remains of another leftharian Titan
I'm guessing that the reason there is no evidence of Mechonis in XC3 is because Zanza destroyed it at the end of the first game
I am literally 140 hours into this game and I still haven't seen some of these places. Holy hell.
I fanboyed so hard whenever I noticed some areas or hints of the older titles and for some I was constantly like "this is that area.. right? noooo... but maybeee?" Thanks for the video, some of these confirmed my suspicions.
Sounds just like me haha, thank you :)
Seeing a Torna area makes you wonder, since It was a dead Titan that sunk beneath the could Sea, onto Morytha, already before Alrest fused the loving titans together
I can't believe I've played every Chronicles title and still missed and didn't realize so much...
What a wonderful video. Subbed.
Thank you, glad you liked it! :)
2:00 that's... a right arm...
Also, you'd never find mechonis, because it was destroyed.
So was Torna, but Dannagh Desert is still there, so it could've been it. But its Mor Ardain, yes :)
@@SparksOpus Torna wasn't destroyed, it was killed. It merely sank. Everything above the mechonis torso was completely obliterated.

I was stunned when Nia told about the remains of Morytha which I didn't even discover before since I thought it was Makna (from the similar name)
Some areas like Melneth's xxx reminded me of Mayneth 😊
And let's not forget Yew and Zuo 💛
Melnath’s Shoulder is actually the upper area of Gormott from XC2
Honestly out of all the mainline games 3 is hands down my favorite.
Mor Ardain was in the DLC, and his head was visible from the Cent-Omnia Region.
Where is the cent Omnia region ?
It might have been a typo or accident and Mor Ardain doesn't have a left arm but the arm that the video points out is a right arm not a left one so it is fair to say that Mor Ardain does make an appearance.
Yup, overlooked that lol
Mentioned it in the second part tho :)
i am not crying! you are crying! 100% xDDD
poor melia! even when she wins, she loses...
i have read that alvis could be riku... xDDDDD it's crazy but it could make sense (he has been there since the begining, he "found" the sword and he aknowledge something with melia when you free her)
Yeah, something is up with Riku... quite the mysterious nopon :D
If only I could remember details from a game from 15 and 5 years ago, then my XC3 playthrough could have been that much better.
Hope you still enjoyed the game tho :)
@@SparksOpus lol I did. And thank you for these videos!!
@@Black_Sheep_0213 Great to hear! And thank you for very much for watching :)
Part 3 is up in the following days :D
A 4th dimension force can mirror any 3d object. That is it can flip a 3d object amd make it look like a mirrored version. Since there time bullcrap there are definitely 4th dimensional forces involved. That's why the titan is mirrored.
The 2 statues of (if you were guessing, Rex and Duncan [or shulk for those who are guessing that]{which are the two middle ones from walking through the door}) are actually said to be mentors of two of the founders and not founders themselves. The one with long hair (similar to Noah) is actually Moebius N and the one with furry ears (Zeke reference) is Moebius M)
Crazy how much of this I missed playing the game
