Family not allowed to walk at graduation for teen who died of cancer

    That is just silly that a parent cannot accept a diploma for their lost child.😥

      Most school don't honor students that passed away at graduation. I think the issue would be if they accidentally missed someone that should be included, needing permission from family to do so (some families might be offended if include their kid), and even if a student died in a matter that might be questionable or cause outrage for example: A student who shot and killed 20 students before killing themselves than the shooter parents citing district policy that they want their child honored at graduation among the victims.

    My genuine heartfelt thoughts deepest condolences go out the family who lost their loved one so young from cancer I’m so truly sorry for your loss your in my prayers!!

    If I had my way, and I was a student there, right before they said graduating class of blah blah blah blah, I would have myself and my friends stand up, cheer her name and walk up anyway. my only fear with this would be them taking away diplomas, but at that point they would be proving their true colors
