Of course it did, shouldn't even need to be asked. Nobody in their right mind would say that the Britain of 2020 is more aesthetically satisfying than 1970. Britain has been ruined by politicians, civic planners and corporate development.

I think you got the Helping Hands stairway incorrect. After the shop on the corner, they go down the FIRST stairwell, not the second one where you were standing. (1.20)
