Thank you for showing all the drawing techniques for free. As a beginner I thought I had failed at one point because I couldn't get the red really red . In the end it turned out fantastic. The water droplets were so realistic. I was truly amazed at what I (you) had drawn. I am looking forward to doing lots more.
Ali my good man, I'm just getting back into drawing after 20 years of not lifting a pencil and, mate you are blowing my mind, just astounding, thank you for all you are, do and share, you are a gift unto the earth
I was so impressed i thought it's impossible to achieve a realistic drawing just by using inexpensive pencil... Amazing by the way I am your newest subscribe... Looking forward for more of this...🤓
Faisal Al janabi it’s really difficult. A lot of the time the pigment is uneven and it’s hard to blend colour properly without any light or darker colour pockets.
sully I don’t get what you mean by no not really if you’re starting out you ought to get the cheaper materials and if you’ve gotten better you could get better materials
@@faisalaljanabi9867 I think I was pretty clear in my comment. Better quality materials will make a difference in your art. Like the other person said inexpensive pencil crayons can have uneven pigment and not blend properly, their difficult to use even for someone who isn't a beginner

Wow! You've proved to us that skills is what really matters, not the tools. Always thought that only those expensive colours can created a good drawing.
This is a really great video. I like the way you show and explain everything and you make the drawing look so easy as if anyone can do it. Great work thanks! You've taught me quite a bit, one key component is patience.
I have polychromes and I absolutely love them. They color without showing the lines of the pencil, blend incredibly and have beautiful colors and a wide selection. I agree with you that for photorealistic drawings is more about the technique and as the colors are used in a way to saturate the paper, it’s possible to do it without high end color pencils.
I forgot to mention that polychromes and other artist quality material are made with special materials and processes in order to have the art piece live long preventing the colors changing or fading due to time and light.
No one should say this is your first Hyper realistic drawing work!! Its look like a work of an experienced artist!! Hats off brother!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful work and experience with us!! Keep inspiring us with your mesmerizing works!! :D :D
The fact that you used the classic Faber Castell pencils instead of the expensive, professional grade Faber Castell Polychromos to draw this is unbelievable! Your tutorials are so detailed and easy to understand. You definitely deserve more subscribers 😁
WOOOOW! Thank you so much for this! It was so satisfying to watch and it has given me so much excitement an energy to try it! I'll just wait for the pencils to arrive!
I wish I found your channel sooner because you are truly talented and inspiring Most artists ( including myself) won’t experiment as they are afraid of ruining what they created but you are all open to it and I personally think that’s what makes drawings look better, so thank you for this helpful video and I think not only myself but others will be taking a lot from you and improving their art 🖼😊
I am 3 minutes in the video and I already learned so much about colour selection! At the end I'm going to know almost everything about realism, this video is so helpful for a beginner artist like me. :)
For all the people wanting to know what type of paper is used, I'll answer you because Ali seems to have a problem doing so. It's 200 gsm white chart paper. Ali, please answer people when they ask this question, they want to know the weight of the paper, so they can give themselves the best chance of recreating your drawing. Just saying "white chart paper", doesn't help anybody.
Thanks for mentioning it. I've only used colored pencils once (didn't like them) but they were on toothy watercolor paper (140 lb) so I figured that and my inexperience were partially why the results weren't good. I tried this drawing using my same pencils (Prismacolor) but on some new, smooth paper I just got in a Hahnemuhle Nostalgie Sketchbook (190 gsm/90 lb). I'm still less than impressed. My color buildup seems more waxy than his looks and my white jelly roll marks got scratched at even the slightest going over with the pencils. I don't know what white chart paper is, but I don't think I can blame the paper I used.
Absolutely spectacular. Your tutorial was so patient and informative that I feel like I can tackle a piece like this. Your artwork is such an inspiration and simply gorgeous. ❤ Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for this tutorial , Been useful for me, been searching a lot of videos to improve how i can color them and put the contrast to them but your videos helps me alot special thanks Ali ..I'm still waiting about skin tones thou xd

Diana Styles exactly
True.. I can't afford that colored pencils.
I'm also not using prisma colours for 3d drawings.. I only used Acrylic colours for 3D Drawings..
your right
@Julia Rugani ikr but I have the small packet 😭
this video is proof that the pencil does not define the artist.
so if I draw bad it means it isn't the colour pencil? :o
Faber castell is a great mark actually
Use anything but crayola 😂
