How lovely are your mittens!!! I think they are absolutely gorgeous and today I have loved seeing the little knitted rabbit and how well she is looked after by her Bunny Mamma. Then I began to wonder has your little frog had a Christmas yet - I really can't remember? I am in a 'wondering' mood today as I have to have an operation tomorrow and I am not looking forward to it. At least if all goes well I will be able to return home during the day. This is very important as last night my lovely husband had a bad fall in the night and ended up in the bath!! At times like these us old ones need to be together. Have a good week -Jennyxxx Ooh I forgot to tell you there was much excitement at the site of my son's apartment in Riihimäki - there was a huge fire in the community sauna! Many fire engines and luckily no-one was hurt but all the people had to leave their buildings until the fire services said it was safe to do so!!! (Just a little bit of news ).
Hello my lovely Jana! I have not watched one of your episodes in weeks but my mum is visiting from Italy and I am busy bag sewing for some Xmas orders…not even knitting much I am afraid! Soon I should be going back to normal though…thanks so much for mentioning me once again and for sharing all your gorgeous projects. Love that cowl and I have really liked the sweater in the same pattern for ages…must get on knitting them, but doing the cowl first is a good idea…look, you have done it again, inspiring me to knit more 😘😘😘😘
Awwwww I hope your son and hubby get better soon. I love the bunny and all her clothes. Your half and half is going to be stunning! Stay well yourself, Jana. 🌸🌸🌸
"Sand cakes with mooshed berry reduction"! you always have some clever words that make my day, Jana! I love both of your finished mitts - and the cowl is beautiful! I hope you husband and son get better soon!
Thank you Jana, what a beautiful episode. So sorry your family has had such a bout of sickness. Hope your big baby is doing better and that his health improves soon. Bunny is doing very well after three years of shared lovey with your little one. Wishing you happy and healthy family ahead.
Thank you for taking the time to make these wonderful videos for us! Life is hard, how we respond to things makes all the difference. You are in the busiest time of your life raising a family and it will be over before you know it! How blessed we all are to have yarn and knitting/crochet to help us thru!
Your mittens and the cowl are so beautiful! I particularly love the mittens. Hope your son and husband are all better and that is the last bout of illness for a l o n g time. Love learning new words. Here I am repeating villa vilna 😂. I always look forward to your "show" as you are such a delightful hostess.
I love the cowl and the mittens especially the one for your husband. I like the colour of your red dress. Your half and half ìs going to look great when it is finished, take care ❤😊 Heippa
I love your podcasts Jana. You reminded me that I need to finish the Selbu mitts I started last winter(winter in western Canada is closing in and they will be needed).I hope your son is soon fully well -winter viruses seem to be ever present. Thanks for your inspiring knitting ,your humour and your open conversation.
Sorry that Hubby and your son are not well. I hope that they can get the medicine needed to help them overcome the sicknesses. I have not considered making a cowl and have never done colourwork, but your FO is so beautiful. I love that it stayed standing even after blocking. I would have to purchase yarn to make this and I want the same colours that you used. This is a chapter to be continued...😉 Have a great week, Jana and thank you! 💖😘
Thank you so much for your lovely video. So enjoy the knit and chat at the end. Very excited about learning the words you share in your languages. The bunny is sooo cute. In the intro I noticed the Advent sock package. I think it’s the same one I received! Hope everyone is feeling better soon. 🥰
Your mitts are gorgeous and look very warm. I have made 4 hats for little ones for Christmas, and a pair of socks for my mother. Working on Battenburg blanket and Anthology throw, and some cross stitch. Can't wait for advents to begin.
When you describe your health system its like this in the UK, those who pay nothing coget it all, those who contribute get less and less and pay more and more its o frustrating, love your channel, love your knitted dress you are wearing and the bunny, reminds me of when my mum made my dolls clothes. lovely memories. thank you for sharing xxxx
So happy to see your husband’s mitts- I have that book but haven’t used it. Now I’m inspired❤ hope everyone has a healthier week coming up. Happy Father’s Day
Sorry to hear your family have been unwell, lots of bugs seem to be doing their rounds here too. Not sure what got into me , but I have been picking up my many, many, many UFO’s and working on each a little at a time but I have cast on the Criostal blouse by Ailbiona McLochlainn in Blue Skye cotton for my granddaughter. She is only 10 so I am making the smallest size, picked the pattern. I didn’t do a gauge swatch so keep fingers crossed for me it will work. The other day actually looked at making those mittens as well, l have many books too and hardly knit anything from them 😢 Your red dress from Nutiden yarn is looking great. Hope your hubby has a great Father’s Day.
Thank you! I think I'd like to pick up some of my UFOs as well. 😊 Would be nice to clear the needles. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get the right size. 🤞❤️
I love the Word of the Day segment. Especially if we can learn Finnish knitting terms. If I learn enough knitting words in Finnish maybe some day I could attempt a non-English pattern! I hope you have a good week. I hope your boys feel better soon!
Love that knitted dress on you. I’ve embroidered Autumn themed tea towels for myself and family. I would recommend Sarah Homfrey on RUclips to refresh or update your skills. She great. I’m looking forward to Vlogmas with you this year.
Jana, your chestnut dress is coming along so nicely, and the color is beautiful. You must be looking forward to wearing it. I love the orange yarn you're using for the Half + Half Triangles Wrap. Do you recall the name of the orange color? I have Linen Quill in Super Orange + Pale Mushroom in my H+HTW queue, but Super Orange is a neon. Your Granny Square cardigan inspired me to pair those two colors. I hope your son and husband will be feeling better soon.
@@FinnishKnittingStories Thank you, Jana. Peachy Pink is a special color. It just glows! It's 6:00 in the morning where I am.Today's my birthday. 76 years old. 🥴
