@@DouglasRachac Hello sir I'm from India I'm a mother of 4yr old baby girl she's suffering with bradycardial problem her heart beats below 50 and pda with near 6mm so Dr suggested to implant pacemaker first then after cath study they will perform pda closure.pleez sir suggest me what treatment is helpful for her.

Unfortunately I am not a medical professional, so I can't give you any suggestions for treatment. I can say that pacemakers are a reliable treatment, and they have been used in children as young as a few days old. I wish you all the best.
After the standard 6-8 weeks of healing time you should be able to get back to what you love. Check with your doctor, as they may want you to give it an extra few weeks, but after the leads are secured to your heart wall, you should be able to get back to your hobbies, including golf. Enjoy!
Thank you for the video. My mother just found out she needs one. Are there possibly more risks with either one that you just showed us? Like going in through the groin give a higher chance of a blood clot or anything like that?
Hi Elle, thanks for watching. The risk level is about equal between devices. The biggest concern is the risk of infection, which is about 1-2% for each device. The biggest difference between devices is in the post implant activities of the patient. Those who get the Micra device can return to normal activities much sooner than someone who gets a traditional pacemaker that is implanted in the upper chest with lead wires going into the heart.
I am getting ready for my third pacemaker exchange (yup :) happy 20 years with it )... I wonder if Im gonna get the tiny (Micra?) one.. Can they be use as dueal chamber pacemaker replacement? BTW great stff with vid.. nicely explain..

So, if you need dual chamber pacing your only current option is to continue using a traditional pacing system.

But, there are some cases where a new device, leads and implant location are needed. It's best to talk to your doctor and ask a few more questions to make sure you understand why they need to move the device to the right side and implant new leads.
my pacemaker was implanted about 10 months ago, just wondering if i am cleared to go on thrilling roller coaster rides… is it true that “extreme physical forces in the absence of direct trauma, such as during high-velocity roller coaster rides may result in lead fractures and patients with pacemakers should be cautioned regarding such activities” ? am i right to say that it is safe for people with pacemakers to go on roller coaster rides that have magnetic brakes as they aren’t too near to the pacemaker?
Hi YanJun, thanks for watching my video. So, you have found a publication from 2018 regarding a single case where it is believed that a thrill ride caused a lead fracture. I will counter that with a study involving 633 patients who were engaged in over 7,900 “thrill-seeking activities” including jet skiing, roller coaster riding, bungee jumping, rafting, paragliding, rappelling, motor racing, kayaking and canoeing, snowboarding, skydiving and base jumping.” The study found that significant events occurring during or within 60 minutes of the activity occurred in 0.02% of the cases, which indicates “thrill seeking activities” are not the problem here. As always, talk to your doctor if you want to ride thrill rides to get their okay. Generally, it’s not your device that will limit you. Your heart condition might, though, so it’s best to check with your doctor. To answer your question about magnetic brakes, those are not a concern. The magnetic brakes are too far away from your device to be an issue. I hope that helps answer your questions. The med-device companies that have leadless pacemakers advertise an 8-12 year battery life. It depends on how much the device is needed to provide pacing to the heart.
The lines so big how they not block heart blood lines or make heart aattacks its scary when you look they put 2-3 steel/slikon lines to your heart veins
Hi there, thanks for watching! The leads are in a single vein that isn’t very important to blood flow, so the leads don’t block a lot of blood. And that vein can hold as many as 5 leads before running out of room. Today there are very good techniques for removing old leads safely, so there’s never a worry over running out of room.

My aunts pacemaker battery was dead because of that aunts died pacemaker impalnt 2012 dead 14 sep. 2022
