- To me, season 1 felt very underwhelming and while the new patch has some good changes I don't think it'll be enough.

The respec cost would have been fine in a completed game. As is, the broken mechanics and instant nerfs forced me to respec all my gold away. Respec should be free until they fix and complete the game.

Ooof. Wow! I'm used to leagues in path of Exile. That season sounds very underwhelming. Especially considering how bad I've heard the end game is in that game. Not only that, we found out that the last few leagues in Path of Exile were made by like 1 to 3 dev crew. What in the heck are they doing in Blizzard?
they made it 5 seconds to leave the dungeon so they can show u the load menu with ur character which makes u buy skins! its all about money
true the load screen spawns a blizz worker that holds a gun to your head and forces you to swipe
When you get the 3 hearts you need to optomise your build - thats it season over nothing more to see regarding the season mechanic, back to grinding nightmare dungeons over and over. Good job there are so many of them and they are all completely different!😥

I think the aspect system for loot is rather boring. D2 still has the best itemization system.
My advice to keep your sanity, just stop playing until the first addon drops in 2-5years... when the times comes the game may be balanced (wouldnt bet on it though)

Yeah if people decided to play the exact same class and build and are disappointed that it isn’t much different, I don’t know what to tell them. But with a new build and a few nuances with the hearts I’m having fun

@@edvaedan9161 right? He mentions Asmongold quitting, when Asmongold played nothing but boring 1 button builds, and then complained that the game play is boring. And guess what, this video is this guy's highest performing video, he's learning that moaning with no real valid reason gets him views, kind of what Asmongold is known for (other than dunking on people that don't have as many WoW mounts as him).

because you don't build around it. you play your build as you always played, just inserted them for a bit more power. is this explanation more understandable to you?
@@angelobianco1763that is an exact definition and im in agreement, if im being completely honest, I wish they would have left all the nerfs the same and let me continue on eternal realm, because I essentially made the same exact build and just threw the hearts in, but the hearts wouldn't have been necessary without the nerfs
@@angelobianco1763 The heart provides bonuses to specific skills or adds damage modifiers/survivability/generation to specific skills, and most of the most popular builds have been changed based on those bonuses. You don't just slot them and gain a bit more power. So while your explanation is understandable, it certainly isn't true.

Over 7 million seasonal characters have been created.. people majorly overly estimate the amount of players who are keeping up with news, patch notes etc and give a fuck.. absolute majority of players absolutely do not keep up with these things because they do not care, they just play the game..
And , that is what the company put their money on , anyway , the game is dead and its burial will be 2 months from now , whatever you think .

Call me crazy, or a hater, even though I enjoyed the older Diablos and played 4 enough to have two lvl90 characters, but I'm not going to praise Activizzard for "listening to players" all of a sudden. Blizzard has decades of experience making these kinds of games some of them are keystones of the genre, they began Diablo 4 well, with pretty forgivable issues but a solid foundation, and then they destroyed that foundation, and now people are praising them for slowly making things more acceptable. Unlike Actiblizzard and the fanboys that refuse to recognize the conpany's shitty practices, I actually learn from the past and my own experiences, and to me this is obviously a manipulation tactic, a few of them actually.
Instead of just throwing my hands up and saying "I dunno" like this video and many players do, I'll lay it out and actually try and think about it.
Intermittent reinforcement is when, in a relationship, an abuser knowingly performs acts of positive experiences in order to hide or belittle negative experiences like neglect or other forms of abuse. It is a way to keep someone invested through abuse and doubt themselves when they are wronged.
Sunken cost is often attributed to gambling manipulation, it's the practice of making victims aware of a reward or seeding victims with an initial reward, only to instill a dependence on their buy-in costs eventually paying out and being worth it. The more dependant they are, the longer you can string them along and take their time and money.
Gaslighting is a common tactic of abusers that is used to incite self doubt in a victim through bellittling issues, promising change or even picking and choosing opinions and facts from elsewhere (another tactic often referred to as the triangle) to make the victim question whether they are being unreasonable in questioning harmful behaviors.
Activlizzard does all three of these, even just in regards to Diablo 4, they get us hooked on sunken cost with a game that's even more expensive than most other currently releasing games, even higher costing deluxe editions, premium priced microtransactions that they reinforce through the in game store advertised both in game by exclamation points, the store link in the wardrobe menu and later through meager microcurrency rewarded by a scummy battle pass, and before you even start the game, with premium cosmetics advertised all over the Battlenet game client. They get us invested, so we will stand with them or simply wait for our money and time to pay off when they erode the value of both to get more of both out of us through Intermittent reinforcement. That being systematically eroding player power and progression, further enticement to pay for things, like a constinually rotating stock of expensive microtransactions and, when next season hits, a new seasonal battle pass skip since you had a good chance of accidentally using yours when s1 dropped thanks to their horrible seasonal tab layout. Then they host these gaslit campfires and release the smaller patches, drip feed us little changes to the game that seem like they listen to our complaints, it was all a mistake, wont happen again, things will get better, just stick around and maybe spend some more time and money, just don't leave me, I'm in a rough mindset right now, I'm overwhelmed but I want what's best for you even if its not fun right now. What's a little change like increasing teleport time gonna do? Its such a small little thing when we gave you those hearts, why get so bent out of shape about everything about the mount being just as cooldown dependant as your abilities that we nerfed when we made the horse able to charge through the barriers? Why be mad about nothing to do at endgame or not even being able to get to it when we've laid out these pretextual builds that we dictate will be more fun for you than what you were already doing? Why be mad Diablo Immortal was a mobile game shamelessly trying to milk the profitable mobile game model at the neglect of our actual fanbase? Do you not have phones?
Obviously I'm being hyperbolic in comparing a shitty game company being predatory and malicious to very damaging and potentially traumatic relational harm, but the shitty tactics are obviously there, and I'm not going to put up with it myself. I only say this pretentious shit because I want others to think too, before they spend money but more importantly, time on this shit. Your money and especially your time are more valuable than Actiblizzard gives you credit for, you deserve better for it than being strung along with these always-online, live service game scams.

Sadly it seems they're spending more money and development hours on creating cosmetic bundles over actual in game content, knowing that, I'm letting go of long term expectations, considering my first playthrough to 100 my money's worth, and calling any time I play on top of that a bonus

This season is a ton of fun if you play a rogue and limit yourself to a few hours a night at max. I just hit 62 and am having a blast. so much damage and you move so fast.

@@Gorre022 Funny you should ask. Once I unlocked T4 I found some lvl 800+ gear and when I realized that there was no real different between ilvl725 and ilvl 800 (aside from a little armor, dps or thorns amount) I logged out and have not logged back in since.
I would totally play again if the attribute bonuses scaled with the item level, having 725 being the final upgrade point, when the gear goes to like 820 is incredibly stupid.

Killing those elites twice is fricken annoying... And he takes like 5 seconds to spawn.. by that time ya buffs are all on CD it's a pathetic system, doing the magilant dungeons is also stupid don't under stand why it's not added at the end of a sigil...
The game is straight-up boring
I'm itching to play D4 but all the negative feedback makes me think twice. It's just more of the same grindy content with a few seasonal tweaks plus tons of buffs/nerfs. No thanks. I'll spend my time playing Remnant 2 and wait for Armored Core and Baldur's Gate 3.

Wait for a sale, its got a cool story and is pretty fun, but once you finish the story and run through all the dungeons it gets more grindy.
Don't let negativity stops you from playing Diablo. More player base, more people complain is inevitable.
Plus, it's not even expensive tbh. For people who think $99 is too expensive, I would suggest them to stop playing any other games NOW and focus more on their life and stabilize their financial situation FIRST.

d4 sucked since beta when your mobile version has more to offer than a triple a game then you messed up we left like two months ago i will never preorder another game like this from blizzard and activation they had years to do something and all we got was bs and good graphics .

I made a friend on diablo 4 in the first few weeks of launch but i got bored and stopped playing months ago. I accidentally opened the battle net app recently and saw how the friend has been offline for months as well lmfaooo
