Like the 1rst, BUT, we need HEAVYWEIGHTS in the trenches. Our LBs will be DEFENSELESS if the line doesn't get penetration. Definitely need PLUG N PLAY players this draft.....
Love the trade also drafting a QB is what we need. Great mock draft, you hit it out of the park 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Man I love everything about this draft Kingsley is a dawggg. Shipley is one of my fav RBs in this deep class. Praying they got u in the draft room come draft night lmaooooo. Good shit bruh.
Enjoy the no Filter..Do your thing. Love the Mock, some new names than what is being mentioned with the Cowboys.
Your real my guy, keep it real all the time, love the podcast great picks
You're the only mock draft picking a Quarterback
Best Mock I have seen, would love to see that trade down scenario, and the board fall like this. Great analysis of Shipley, the new OC Riley, hurt Wills draft stock and the entire Clemson offense last season
This is a badass draft, let's do this.
You surprised me and sold me on a few and I like that trade back, great draft.
Thanks for the mock.
I've been embracing an idea that many people don't like, but no one reads my long comments anyway. I'll type what I want. That idea is that we shouldn't be drafting a bunch of talented rookies on offense just to give Prescott the pieces to build his free agent resume. If he wants to try to sell himself to other teams this year, he can do that with the remains of last year's offense. He can spend the year looking over his left shoulder to see who got past Chuma Edoga or Josh Ball. I'm happy to draft developmental offensive linemen in the later rounds, but I'm often spending my first three picks on the defensive trenches.
If Prescott were to wake up tomorrow and sign a team-friendly contract that didn't leave dead cap space that would destroy this team for the future, I'd be mostly happy with this draft. I wish we could get Junior Colson at 87, but I've often drafted him when I'm playing the mocks. I've drafted Kingsley Suamataia many times at the place where you've drafted him. I probably wouldn't draft a running back ahead of a defensive tackle in this draft, but I like Will Shipley as a choice for the Cowboys. Maybe he can be another Walt Garrison kind of running back. I'm not looking at any wide receivers before pick 150, so I haven't drafted that way in my mocks. If Prescott wanted someone like Brenden Rice as a reward for signing a team-friendly contract, I'd be fine with that pick. I haven't been drafting quarterbacks, but if we're certain that Trey Lance is a bust and a wasted trade, then I'm okay with picking Joe Milton III. I think we could get him later, but I have nothing against the pick. I've mocked Logan Lee a few times, so I'm encouraged that you picked him. I don't feel that I was being silly by reading his profile and thinking that he might be a good pick. I have nothing for or against Jordan Magee. My favorite late-round double-dip at linebacker is Jackson Mitchell of UConn. If I thought that the Cowboys were one year from making a good Super Bowl run, I'd have no problem double-dipping at running back. Because I think we are further from that run, I'm skeptical of that strategy. I'd rather look for another player in the trenches than pick Rasheen Ali right now. Someone like Nelson Ceasar, the edge player from Houston would appeal more to me. I think there's a South Carolina edge guy who might also be good at this pick. I like Jacob Monk as the last pick. If the Cowboys could get him, that would be great. Drake Nugent seems to have fallen badly in some mocks, and if he's available at that position, I'd look at him as well.
Just projecting from some of my daily mocks, I'll assume that I give up 24 and get 28, 128, and 133. Here's what I would draft right now.
28 - Johnny Newton or Byron Murphy II - Maybe neither of these is available at 28, but sometimes I've gotten them in the thirties. If one is there, I'm likely to make that pick. Johnny Newton is more of an overall impact defensive lineman while Byron Murphy II may be more of a run stopper. Either way, I'd go defensive line for the second time in two years. If Mazi Smith goes through NFL puberty and becomes a great player, then maybe the Cowboys just end up with a great defensive line. If he's a bust, then we fix the problem that we thought we'd fixed last year.
56 - Cedric Gray - I could easily pick Junior Colson in this spot, but I'll pick Cedric Gray. We need a good, young linebacker.
87 - Marshawn Kneeland - With DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons, and Sam Williams competing for reps on the edge, a part of me sees no point in drafting an edge player at all. On the other hand, DeMarcus Lawrence is getting old, Micah Parsons seems stuck on podcasting, and Sam Williams seems determined to make stupid decisions. I want the Cowboys to be intimidating in the trenches. If this player can break into the lineup, he could be a great choice. At this point, I would also entertain trade offers for any of Lawrence, Parsons, or Williams, so having a backup at that position has value.
128 - Cam Hart - If Trevon Diggs doesn't return completely from his ACL injury, the Cowboys are in big trouble. DaRon Bland has played well for two years, so he's a solid CB2 and might be able to be CB1. We don't know what Stephon Gilmore will do, and he's older anyway. Jourdan Lewis isn't young and never seemed to be a great choice on the outside. Nahshon Wright is a bust. Eric Scott Jr. doesn't seem to be someone who will contribute to being a playoff-caliber team. I could see Cam Hart as an emergency plan at cornerback. A little later, I also like Elijah Jones of Boston College as a cornerback.
133 - Matt Goncalves - Maybe he'll come into the league ready to be a good left tackle. Maybe he is a development player. I've heard that his hands are a little small to be a great prospect.
174 - Hunter Nourzad - I don't know whether Hunter Nourzad really offers any improvement at center over Brock Hoffman. If Zach Frazier were available at 56, I'd probably take him there regardless of what I think about Prescott. When I was thinking in terms of rebuilding the offensive line first, I was taking tackles with my first picks and the Georgia center at 87. If I'm not going to draft offense until late, I think Hunter Nourzad makes sense. Personally, I'd prefer that we stick Hoffman and Nourzad at center and let T.J. Bass concentrate on developing at guard instead of trying to transition him to a backup center. I agree that flexing offensive lineman too much is a mistake. Having said that, I think Hunter Nourzad has played multiple positions on the offensive line. In an emergency, I like the flexibility.
216 - Kristian Boyd, Logan Lee, Keith Randolph Jr. Jowon Briggs, - I don't think Kristian Boyd will fall this far, but he seems intriguing. Logan Lee looks good for the reasons you give. Keith Randolph Jr. seems pretty good. Jowon Briggs might be a step down, but he's another defensive tackle. In many ways, I want this draft to tell the Cowboys that we are not going to be a team that gets pushed around in the trenches. I think double-dipping at defensive tackle does that. Osa Odighizuwa has been a solid player, but he's in his fourth year. Is he really worth paying that much more in order to keep? Could he be replaced? Could he be traded for a draft pick that might help the team win a Super Bowl in a year or so? Maybe you see all of this as stupid, but I like the idea of a drafting a defensive tackle here.
I could also draft Carson Steele or Rasheen Ali at 216. In this mock, I haven't picked up a running back, and both of them are occasionally available at this pick.
233 - Nathan Thomas, Rasheen Ali, Jackson Mitchell, Josh DeBerry, Tip Reiman, Jamree Kromah, Logan Lee, Frank Crum, Nelson Ceasar, Jordan Strachan, Brennan Jackson, Drake Nugent, Isaac Rex, Nehemiah Pritchett - Many of these would be double-dips or would be guys that I'd pick up if I failed to get someone at that position earlier in the draft. A part of me hates the idea of drafting tight ends in three consecutive drafts. On the other hand, they say that tight ends take a little time to develop. Jake Ferguson is a great TE1. Luke Schoonmaker is good enough as TE2. Peyton Hendershot seems to be a guy who looked good in his rookie preseason but has been plagued by stupid penalties, injuries, and dropped balls. John Stevens Jr. is still listed as a wide receiver, may never recover from his ACL injury, and may be nothing more than a guy who had one great preseason game. Princeton Fant is smallish and didn't play all that much tight end at Tennessee. Tennessee's offense was also a bit odd. I wouldn't mind getting a good, blocking tight end. I'd like to double-dip at linebacker. If they don't get an early cornerback, maybe they can pick up a late-rounder who might develop. If they haven't double-dipped at defensive tackle, the last pick could be good for that. If they haven't picked up an edge, the last pick could be good for that. I wouldn't be hesitant to double-dip at developmental offensive tackle. Will Terence Steele really come back? Will he be injured again?
244 - same players, same reasons as 233
I like this Mock Joe ... Good Shyt 💪🏾🔥🔥
QB in the 4th? Let's get players that can actually help the team in some type of role at least and fill some gaps we have with depth. I hope we don't reach for "projects" on day 3 picks. Let's find a Jay Ratliff or Chris Canty, Marion Barber, Patrick Crayton, and maybe even a Tony Romo etc. What say you Joe?
Good mock, subscribed, I want to win this year so my humble opinion is that we gotta hone in on the biggest issues, stopping the run, running the ball.
1. DT
2. LB
3. RB
4. C
5. DT
6. RB
7. CB
I wanna see that defense beefed up, I think as long as our defense is solid we can compete.
This is the first time i understood what you were trying to do. My only issue is that you have them drafting Milton too early.
Would have liked your mock draft better if you had shown who had been drafted prior to and after your picks. Had not seen a bunch of your picks before your mock.
Thanks for the best content on youtube Joe!
👍🏿 Hows Kingsley in Pass Pro? Can he handle super athletic edge guys?
Like the first pick, RB Gaurendo Louisville second round third round LB Cooper Texas A&M all of your other picks I'm ok with.
I like your picks
Milton is he an accurate thrower. Big arm means nothing if not accurate Bro. Smart accurate throwers win Superbowls. Josh Rosen a 1st round a couple of years ago had a csnnon where is he now. Problem not accurate enough. Size great hope he can run well. If he is an accurate throwerin 15 to 20yd passes he could be interesting .
If our draft falls like this I'd be happy with it. Starters and depth in key areas. We don't know anything forsure about Dak or Lance in 25 picking Milton may be a good choice he would have to be the best BPA over D.E. or D.T. available. Overall one of my favorites.
We need beef in the middle....not 281 lbs
With Zimmer, it’s whether you can play this game. Size is not heavily emphasized. like i said he will be asked to add bulk
@@CowboysBlogOfficial I liked the pick of The QB He has a rifle for an Arm but has some undevloped qualities that can mean he has upside.
Good picks
Awesome draft. I was ify about shipley but we need a running back. Love the mock.
Wow never thought og/c 7th rd nice pick!!
I would like this draft tbh. My only problem was a D tackle under 300 pounds. We need as much beef as possible. Two linebackers is also too much IMO
McCarthy could use Rice well 🤞🏿
I like Rice but I really want McConky
I thought we had comp picks?
Zac zinter in the 5th or after would be worth it when he’s healthy
Solid Mock our Fan Base going to Cry 😢 Taking Milton Round 4 “ o Lordy Dak can’t feed his kids now “
I like Logan Lee Iowa they did not have nations number 1 defense for nothing I bulk him up and slide him into 3 tech he has the frame.
Jordan magee and rasheen Ali are in the keystone sleeper files and they were 30 visits🔥
Best one in a while, would prefer Wright over Shipley and Mickinley Jackson over Milton. Milton we can grab later on
Omg Joe Milton in the 4th? Milton is late day 3 if drafted. As someone who watched the games and was constantly disappointed with accuracy and touch….please no. 7th? Sure.
No.
That’s not what people on the ground are saying but ok.
Good draft Joe
Who was taken in the 2nd round? Milton has the strongest arm in the draft. Does anyone remember quotes about Josh Allen?
Believe Quinn got Micah, Zimmer getting Darius Robinson. Like Brenden Rice
I like the Jacob Monk pick 🙏
Not a bad draft at all.
They wouldnt waste a draft pick on a 4rth string qb dude wouldnt even make the roster more than likely, they are going into the draft with way to many needs to waste picks
Kingsley not a 1rd talent. Would rather have JPJ, Barton, Mims or Morgan over Kingsley after trading down to 28. Like the rest of the draft. My RB choice would either be Benson, Brooks, or Wright, then Allen if all are gone. Love Colson, prefer Wilson since he's really and truly a 1st round pick if it wasn't for injury concerns. Cooper is Fun too. Def onto something with Magee and Ali though. Since they are both 30 visits def looking at them for late round sleepers.
We have a 4th rd?
He traded down 24 to 28
@@gregturner1496 👍
Logan lee beast!!
Are they trading Lance for picks?
Good question
No
They have no pick in the 4th round
He Has them trading down in the first and getting 2 4th rounders.
They Need to draft Rodrick Ward. He is a STEAL of a pick. He just did a 30 visit with the Chargers and the Broncos. He comes from Coach Primes camp. The Warden aint no joke.
This Mock proves that they are not all that sure about Trey Lance
This mock is made by a fan not official
@@josephfrancis110 I knew that, That Is why It Is call Mocked. Still don't think Trey Lance was worth it, He's riding at QB#3 Behind Cooper Rush, I don't think tthere will be a Rush To Change that.
So why did u say this mock proves something?
@@josephfrancis110 First and Foremost I Can Say What The Hell I Want To Say, You are Nobody Else Is Going To Stop Me,That Is What This sight Is About, Why The Hell Do You Fuck With It Anyhow?,To prove or Improve your Intelligence? The Fans come on here, and a Fan Mocked a QB To Dallas, Officials don't come on this sight so I commented on what The Fan Posted, And after all The Guy that I mentioned Is a 3rd String OB and he don't seem to have a long shelf life future in Dallas if no future at all. If you want to argue we can, I'm not going anywhere, I"M YO HUCKLEBERRY
Will Shipley sucks we need Braelon Allen
Who the hell is peanicks?? Smh
To cover all our needs in the draft , we need 4 1st round picks , 5 second round picks , 5 third round picks , 6 fourth round picks. 20 picks in the first 4 rounds should do it , but unfortunately we dont have anywhere close to that many draft picks. We have a total of 3 draft picks in rounds 1-4. If Bo Nix is still on the board at pick 24 , go ahead and draft him. Lets start looking towards the future brotha , and this is a step in that direction .
NO too JOE smdh.
"Kinda like his dad was" 😅😅😅. Cowboys fans are the most backwards fans in history
Shut up do your job !
I had a dream Drake maye was under center for us next year . If only.
