Finally - Lance has a camper with a light colored interior!! Makes the space more 'open' feeling, especially when there is a fixed footprint.
That's why we bought another brand last year.
When looking at the dark interior of other Campers, my wife always used to say "so this is where all the dark wood from the 80s ended up!".

And it's very light to carry - won't fit many 1/2 or 3/4 ton trucks, but with a proper truck you can carry as much water as you want, and eggs, and pickles, and BEER, and bread, and milk ...

How about a Heavy Half where the Springs and Shocks are upgraded to support more weight. Most use the same frame for 1/2 & 3/4 so if done right you should be able to get enough load capacity for this Camper. It’s the first one I’ve seen that I would even consider.
Always nice to see a new Lance camper. I wish my Canadian dollar was worth more. Saw a new Host Yukon the other day it was $110,999 US. I noticed that all other camper manufacturers are moving to the darker accents and graphics.
I’m afraid they’re all headed towards the 6 figure mark 😳 seems like they are trying to get more modern with the campers, I’ve always thought it’d be cool to see like a log cabin style interior with more wood finishes, but that’d probably add too much weight

2019 Ram Rebel with air bags carry it no problem
The Phat ladder is very stout. I used industrial Velcro to secure a 25' flag pole to it that came with my high-gain cell antenna for camp hosting. I put a lightning arrester and ground wire secured against the pole with lead to an 8' ground rod installed at the same time. Our Lance travel trailer barely ever knew the flag pole was there even in 60 mph winds. I don't know why more RV manufacturers don't use this RV Phat ladder, but I found it very stout on our 2012 Lance 1181 and our 2017 Lance 1985. I look forward to enjoying it on our next Lance, which is most likely to be a truck camper since we are about to enjoy more travel that a big rig is too hard to park and a Class B doesn't feel as homey. The Class C RVs do not have enclosed waste tanks and the beauty of mountain travel is to visit fall colors on the shoulder seasons where the summer crowds are off doing other things.

A ladder would have been sooo handy when I did some damage on low hanging branches. Sadly, my truck wouldn't hold a Lance but I love em!!

I can not believe people are willing to pay $50,000 to $60,000 for a truck camper (and actually a lot more than that because they finance them and pay interest). absolutely insane!!!!!
Pros and cons to everything... one thing I love about truck campers is the versatility... you have a place to stay if your truck needs repairs, you have a vehicle if the camper needs repairs... something you don't get with class A or C..
And they're WAY easier to park if you need to stay in someone's driveway and better millage.
Comfy place to sleep,eat,shower and can still pull your boat with you👍
Some beaches wont let you take a trailer…so your choice is class B or C 4x4,
If you had my money it wouldn't matter.

Very nice size wet bath, I'm not tall...just wider than most. So a small wet wouldn't work for me. My wife loves everything, she said they lay out is just right for two to three ppl. Or in our case, our dog. ☺

Battery is hiding in a compartment under the dinette, only one 100w solar panel offered through factory. There is a solar port to plug another on the exterior

Great review and awesome camper! You're a funny guy, remind me lots of Theo Von. Unfortunately this thing is way too heavy for any half tonne truck, 1500 etc. People have to remember the weight of the passengers also needs to be included in the payload. 2-3 people can add up to 500lbs. Got to take that off the payload. I've worked closely with CVSE officers up here in Canada and they say pulling people over in half tonnes with campers like this is, is like shooting fish in barrel. Not to mention in the event of an accident, if you're overweight, you're at fault and your insurance will most likely be voided. It's can be pretty scary stuff. Anyway thought i'd share that, I know its probably not what anyone wants to hear.
Lance is in the process of releasing a true halfton rated Truck Camper called the 805 and I should have our first (only one in the southeast) in next week! And you bet there will be a video coming soon 😁

Lance no longer rates them for 1500 series trucks. 250/2500 - 350/3500 Shortbed single rear wheel is what they’re rated for now
