This can be 2028 Team Canada Roster in the Olympics; -SGA, Wiggins, Murray, Brooks, Barrett, Miller, Mathurin, Dort, Sharpe, Nembhard, Lyles and Edey. Extras: Maxence Prosper, Houstan, Primo, Duarte, NAW, Lawson to pick from.
THey have very good back court defence and willl give outside shooting teams trouble but Canada's success will, imo, depend on their 3 pt shooting. They haven't shot well from behind the arc (not like they did in the WC's at least) in the exhibition games, especially against the US, but they have some very good shooters when they're on. If they can hit the 3's consistently and extend defences they will be very tough to beat and will go far. If not they may not even get out of their group
Khem Birch has played in the NBA. Orlando and the Raptors. And we all know that Wiggins and EDey Would be very good in Fiba basketball and pose a great deal of trouble for the United States so team USA found a way to get them out of there by telling their NBA teams to not allow them to play
If Wiggins was allowed to play we would have 12 players who play in the nba. If Edey and Brissett participated as extras off the bench we would have 14 players who play In the nba participating.
I admire this squad however just like other squads in the Olympics they were put together too specifically beat the U.S., to me that's detrimental in the long run because you'll underestimate other team's in this case France.
