In this video I go over many ways you can start with World of Warcraft Lore, or if you are already well versed, how to improve your knowledge. Covering all of the available sources of lore, from books and comics, to games and magazines.

+LeonTV Try learning about a specific character first instead of the world in whole. Turalyon and Alleria and the Jaina, Arthas combo is what really got me into the lore.

A great way to learn of how I did it was playing all the RTS first, then reading the books that leads up to all those war til the end of Arthas. World of warcraft in the first 6-8 years were already set in stone from the RTS, so you can learn alot. And also be patient, I know leveling is a pain but if you just take your time and just look around, you will find alot more story in the game.

Nobbel deserves a name drop, but it was admirable that you had a subtle clip of his work. You two are beasts in the lore game.
I have spent untold hours playing WoW and Warcraft 3. I have read several novels, and other printed works, even the non-cannon Warcraft RPG material. And I have watched many videos about Warcraft lore. But the vast majority of my grasp of it all was forged and reinforced by hours upon hours upon hours of just reading through the wiki sites. So it's a good thing you brought them up.
Well, I simply started with saying: Hey, I want to learn more about Ragnaros!
Then I go to RUclips, and look up "Story of Ragnaros" and boom! I see a Nobbel87 video. So I click it. Watch both parts.
Then I decided. "This is a really good video!" So then I go to his channel, and watch all his lore videos while playing WoW so I don't get too bored. Then I go look at other channels to see what they got and that's how I got into Warcraft lore.
Very true about picking things that didn't see first charachter or even 2nd and 3rd..

Blizzard should redo Gnomergan, in lore its obvious the S.A.F.E operatives would've cleaned it from the virus by now.

Hey Doron, I have a question.
I play on a RP server and once I get the Collector's Edition for Legion I was thinking of boosting my toon on there (From 20-somethin' to 100) so I could interact more with the guild I'm in and be more in touch with them.
But at the same time I'm still learning a lot of WoW's lore, by various means. So I wanted to know if you thought boosting the character would be a good idea or not.
+Dusk Ealain if you want to learn more lore wise just leveling the level 20ish guy to 100 without using the boost . and keep the boost for another class that you might like .
Ansilo's adventures I was thinking about that, I asked my guild leader and he said I wouldn't miss that much.

+Xantog It's a pretty decent order. I know I've read most of the books randomly, without any order. Also if you've never used audible, you can get one of the wow audio books for free. I know the recent novels always have an audio version.

Marko Miljevic Yeah...if you start with rise of the horde, your like 'wtf is this thrall guy??, and who is gul'dan?' while the chronicles introduce the characters slowly.
