It seems the days of “Texas homes are super cheap” are over.. even in the Houston area, the home prices are higher than homes in central California. Even worse, property tax is three times more in Texas than it is in California 😳

Haha those two houses is like David vs Goliath. I’m just not a fan of 1st floor master suite on a two story plan and no basement. I do like the tall ceilings especially in the great room. Nook and dining room needs their own dedicated space and not open next to the island and great room like that.

Downtown? An hr no traffic, rush hr 2 hrs one way. Conroe is big.

I like the second one. I like the kitchen in this one. I am not a fan of electric fireplaces, I'd rather a gas or wood burning fireplace with a surround . These fireplaces are too modern for me.
