Great review. One note: If you use the "night mode" button in settings, the watch won't automatically go into essential mode, necessitating a startup in the morning.
The TicWatch Pro 5 and the Samsung Watch 5 Pro were my two finalists out of my list of 5 different brands. But then the Samsung 6 Classic was announced, and I really likes the rotating bezel. But the TicWatch and the Samsung were tied for features I wanted. The final decision was when Amazon had a one day $70 off the TicWatch, which when all was said and done after taxes, I saved $170 buying the TicWatch over the Samsung 6/Classic. I have only had my TicWatch Pro 5 for 4 days, and I do not have any regrets about choosing it over the Samsung.
As an update, I took the TicWatch Pro 5 off the charger Sunday night around 8pm, and it is now Thursday morning just about 10am, and I have 13% battery left. I only used essential mode once, and decided to just use the sleep mode instead, I have all the health sensors running, and still get this amazing battery life. I have not used any fitness settings yet, but I am thinking about trying one a bit at work to see what it tracks and how much quicker it will drain the battery.
@@shawndixon4536 Samsung is pure shit, i got Watch 5 that i got as a gift . Samsung has the same problem as this guy is showing in the video : Sleep sensor is not even closely accurate, Bpm is wrong also it actually showing me 199bpm while im not even tired and barely started running at slow pace. Ticwatch just arrived in my country so il be buying one soon.
I can say exactly your same words, the same finalists, the same doubts and the same decision, I ordered today the ticwatch 5 pro because the Black Friday discount in Amazon, significantly cheaper than the Samsung galaxy pro 5, and also because I don't have a Samsung phone.
8:48 you can run the watch in the actual "Always on display" and get all your information in 1 tilt, but you're going to sacrifice battery. I'd iust turn it back off after your activity. 👍
Same. This watch looks really good but i was also burned from that. My E3 is still stuck and it's starting to die on me. It made me hate smartwatches in general atp
Love this watch. I sold my Oppo Watch 3 Pro which has the same cpu to get this watch. I said the first watch to have the SD W5 with Wear OS, Im getting it and im really happy that I did it. The Oppo was an amazing device too!!
Hi. My tic 5 pro got water inside after 6 months using in open water, used about twice per week. I found other case in telegram BR group. I am trying warranty, if I get another one I will not use in water anymore.
Here's my question about the GPS. How quick does it pick up a signal I have an older Mobvoi Tic watch E2. It used to get a signal pretty quick but now it seems to take forever and when it does I have already started my exercise routine.
Alex, I actually talked about this in the video in detail, but in short, I had the same experience as yours which means if I really wanted the GPS I'd have to wait for a while for it to lock in a signal.
@@RyansTechMedia Ah okay for me to get around this problem I use the Google Fit app to track my route and it's pretty accurate. I think because it's using the phone's GPS radio.
You can connect them via Bluetooth, just wear the strap then go to the settings -> connectivity -> Bluetooth and find your HR strap. But I doubt you can see the live HR on the watch while exercising unless using something other than the default app.
Yes, it might look a bit too big if your wrist size is less than 160mm. But it wouldn't be the end of the world. I've seen people with small wrists wearing it!

No bs. Just straight to the point and very informative. Thanks bud!
Thanks so much!

I did the right thing choosing Mobvoi. Love their after superior sales support and constant Wear OS updates 🥰🥰

In low light mode, while you are in an exercise, you can use the knob and it will show you more stats for your workout without going into the watch
I expect big things for the 6 pro next year. No excuses
Best review I've seen so far, straight to the point. Thank you very much!
Thankyou, direct and all the info you need!!
Mobvoi promised a Wear OS 3 update for 2022, and my TicWatch 3 Pro is still running Wear OS 2. I won't give them another chance.
Yeah, anyone buying this must expect it to remain at the shipping OS version. But that may be fine for many people.
Same. This watch looks really good but i was also burned from that.
My E3 is still stuck and it's starting to die on me. It made me hate smartwatches in general atp
Wear os 3.5 is out for it
Wear OS4 is rolling out for Pro 5 (all regions) from Sep 2024. Upgrade for me was seamless today (Oct 10 2024)
How accurate is the location/GPS, and heart rate feature? I use these for exercise primarily.

I'm actually selling my Oppo watch 3 pro as well for the tic watch 5 pro.I wanna switch because of wear os instead of color os.
How to put the ticexercico in km/h and not in miles?
I just ordered a Pro 5 from WM for $244. Which (to me anyway) was a bargain. Great video Sir
Great content.
It says I need to use tikwatch app and not OS. Is this correct?
Detailed video of essential mode
hi friend, congrats for the video! Did you swam at open waters with it ? How was the experience ? Did the smartwatch presented some problem?
I didn't swim with it, but it did get wet and the water drain feature is a very useful one. It's water resistant anyways. Thanks for watching!
No oceans (open waters) or any form of salt water. Don't press any buttons under water either. 👍

I pref the gt4, battery life is great
Does your tic motion still works?
TIP 4. I cannot even get play store to work, tried everything. Although I can install apps from my Phone onto the watch.
How is the vibrated motor? On model 3 is a joke, I can hear it more that I can feel it. I compare it with Samsung Watch.
Helo!What about skin tempeture?It is worki g fine?Thanks
It can do what with the water do a video with it doing that please

Does this track respiration rate like the Garmin?
Yeah it does, alongside resting HR, SpO2, stress and skin temperature.
Yes. The sleep tracking is very informative.
Can you make/take whatsapp calls from it?

Does the WatchPro5 have fatigue assessment like the Tickwatchpro 3 please?
For whatever reasons, no. It was one of the main features Mobvoi advertised on the TicWatch 3 Ultra, and suddenly they cancelled it for the 5 Pro.
Is it possible to pair an external heart rate sensor to this watch?
You can connect them via Bluetooth, just wear the strap then go to the settings -> connectivity -> Bluetooth and find your HR strap. But I doubt you can see the live HR on the watch while exercising unless using something other than the default app.
is this watch big for tiny wrists (16cm), what's your wrist size
Around 17cm. It's not gonna look terribly big on your wrist. What's important is your comfort and you won't know it until you've tried it.
I have a very thin wrist, do it looks big on small arms? Sorry for the weirdo question
Yes, it might look a bit too big if your wrist size is less than 160mm. But it wouldn't be the end of the world. I've seen people with small wrists wearing it!
Looks great for me on my skinny 17cm man wrist.

What app do I need to connect with my android phone
Mobvoi Health
The customer service doesn't exist, no updates, ever. That's all we need to know 😅
10'5, wrong, just unlock it !
What do you mean? 10'5?

I love the Apple Watch
Sucks
TicWatch... Bad service and no updates. Mobvoi has disrespect to customers. My advise is don't stop a buck in this company.
191 heart rate 😂😂 seems to wayy offf no way it got up that high.....there all misleading lol😂😂 samsung is going shit so this is my watch maybe......
I bought the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra which worked fine with my iPhone, however this Pro 5 does not work with iOS. Big miss. there Mobvoi.
