I don´t think this disarming will work in a real situation. In opposite as seen in the video, any attacker has his finger right on the trigger. So a shot would surely happen. Can this really be controlled? I´m not convinced.
And what would be, when the gun sits more upside, direktly at the brain, the way is longer to grip the gun!? Alex

I believe that the technique will work provided that the defender puts his or hers arms up immediately upon the gun being placed at their heard. Shorter distance to move, less time. For the life of me I do not understand why he leaves his hands at his sides. Why? Second KM video that this is done. I’m looking for any small advantage- especially with a firearm.

You are CORRECT - it most likely will NOT work - that's why pointing it at HIM or something OTHER than yourself is paramount. Then do an arm lock - ALWAYS making sure the weapon is pointed away from yourself. Nobody can get away from an arm or leg lock, and the pain is HORRIBLE - your opponent is *done*. KEEP IN MIND: your opponent has AN ADVANTAGE over you with leverage!! You only have the barrel (assuming your strike is accurate) - s/he has the handle, too!! That's why we never practice grabbing the gun - we only practice pointing it away, then quickly defending how you can. (eyes, tripping, occipital/parietal, etc)

Nothing to say about Master Avi, but the one and only Grand Master is Yaron Lichtenstein who trains in Brazil in Bukan school of Krav Maga. Master Avi is Krav Magen and this should be clearly staded because there actually are differences compaired to original Imi's KM tought by GM Yaron in Bukan.

IKMF Federation too ... following Old Style Techniques coming from " IMI 's Syllabus "
Others Organizations of Krav Maga .. they are arranging some Changes ... just to make Techniques more 'effective !!
( Sometimes.. some changements are necessary to Optimize the System .. adapted to modern combat scenaries .. ALWAYS Respecting the Original Doctrine of the Founder. ) - Respect for All Serious Masters of Israel , that they are working Good around the World to promote KM ( this was the real Spirit of IMI ... and his Wish ).

G. Master Avi.. he was always a "BIG MAN" also when he was Young.. " He had some Problems to pass his Brown / Black Exam under IMI Lichtenfeld .. The evaluation Test was very hard with FLYING KICKS Techniques ... but He lost some kilos ( Diet ) he trained hard, and he passed / was graduaded Personally from IMI !! ( with Kicks now.. specially with FRONT PUSH Kick ... he's fluency - good stretchy.

If his finger was on the trigger the gun would go off. Now with that siad it is for safety of the training partner, but in real life the gun would be harder to pull away.
as a last resort is viable and the more important part is to move the muzzle away. It eventually shoot depending on the gun safeties as well.
It's helpful as hell to get used to gunshots. In a close quarter like that the flash and bang can be shocking as a real wound.

i respect these guys for using the krav MAGEN name. All schools and federations around the world are teaching krav magen variations and using the name krav MAGA. The only grand master in KRAV MAGA still in action is Yaron Liechtenstein from BUKAN school of krav maga.

Maybe one day I'll get to travel to Israel and practice some authentic Krav Maga. Though I get the feeling that the techniques vary as much as any other martial art. It's the attitude and philosophy I like. Maybe I'll get to meet that chick at about a minute in. ;)

Correct...If I may add something to your comment: An inexperienced shooter can shoot 1-2 bullets per second, while an experienced one can shoot anything fro 5-8 in the very same time frame. And I will not even start talking about the difference between single and double actions. Plus: A guy who is trained would keep his gun on the back of the head - that would make it very hard to reach by the hostage.

Io sono un praticante di Krav Maga per 5 anni. Io sono un civile, non appartengo alla polizia. Ma le tecniche vengono eseguite senza alcuna conoscenza delle misure di sicurezza associati a una pistola vera
La canna della pistola non deve mai puntare a se stessi, per non parlare di colpire l'attaccante con l'area del martello, che potrebbe sparare l'arma. Penso che dovrebbe rivedere l'uso di armi di Fugo

Perchè mi sa che di pistole non ne capisci nemmeno un pochetto:
"misure di sicurezza associati a una pistola vera"
Una "pistola vera" costruita dopo il 1800 ha ALMENO il "trigger level safety" cioè una barra che separa il cane dal percussore: se il grilletto non viene premuto fino a fondo il cane può colpire quanto vuole ma il percussore rimarrà al suo posto.
Le armi moderne hanno ALMENO due sicure interne, le glock ad esempio ne hanno tre. La 1911 ne ha 2 e se non viene impugnata correttamente una delle due sicure esterne non viene disabilitata dalla pressione di un palmo.
Potresti tirare una glock da un grattacielo e non sparerebbe un colpo.

its ok to do this but you have to be able to make sure of the suspect positioning and their finger in the trigger. Its more secure and better when you do this and have the suspect at a position where you can see them and their trigger finger.

Bonjour; salut. essayons de vous répondre ... même si nous ne connaissons pas la réglementation en vigueur de KRAV MAGA Personal Defence In France. Généralement en France, les sports de combat sont protégés par la "fédération française de sports de combat". Le Krav Maga est un style de SELF DEFENSE qui ne fournit pas de combats compétitifs de Krav Maga. Les licences d’enseignement peuvent être acquises par l’intermédiaire d’ENSEIGNANTS ISRAÉLIENS afin d’obtenir un excellent enseignement… ou de contacter des professeurs de français ayant étudié en Israël. Il existe de nombreuses fédérations, le Krav Maga et le KAPAP. L'important est de prendre une licence avec des enseignants sérieux et qualifiés. Cordialement Bonne chance! PS On est possible qu'en France, la fédération de karaté ait réuni toutes les écoles KRAV MAGA pour inscrire les étudiants et les gymnases et fournir une assurance de base aux étudiants inscrits.

Ok Bella dimostrazione ma vorrei esprimere il mio pensiero. inanzi tutto il ragazzo con gli occhiali non ha provato minimamente la rabbia aggressiva contro di lui .. non basta un semplice colpetto rapido per disarmare e scappare. io trovo che il krav magà sia utile in alcune situazioni ed altre no. Dopo averlo praticato per molto tempo, anche sotto stress notavo delle vere lacune, in altri contesti di vita per esperienza personale è un vero fallimento, troppo concentrati sull agire in situazioni ormai critiche quando ormai in quella situazione c'è poco da poter fare -.- bisogna sapersi difendere prima. Potrai provare quelle tecniche 351237216371263 volte ediventare un bomba, ma chi ti dice che ti troverai nella stessa situazione per strada? avete fatto caso che insegano solo le tecniche su colpi e disarmi a mano destra? al mondo esistono anche i mancini , in 10 anni di corso arrivando alla nera le tecniche opposte me le studiavo da solo a casa perchè in palestra non le facevano fare, ed io avendo un amico mancino riuscivo ad allenarmi. cambia anche il modo di attacco, diciamo che il krav magà è bello, affascina a tutti il disarmo, poi chi fa questo come prima esperienza impara il primo contatto, manualità ma poi è meglio passare ad altro.
Ogni arte va fatta per passione, ma se si cerca davvero l'autodifesa consiglio vivamente a tutti di non fuocalizzarsi solo su una, ma impararare le più conosciute come il teakwondo che insegna molto bene l'utilizzo dei calci, il wing chun energia, ma in primis la boxe, nonostante sia uno sport insegna molto di più di quel che si crede, distanz, gioco di gambe, percezione ottica, riflessi percepire quando attaccare che guardia usare, saper gia cosa fare guardando l'avversario dalla postura, incassare i colpi!!!
se ci pensate è quello che serve di base, molti istruttori non insegnano la boxe all'interno dei corsi perchè trovano che sia inutile dato che per strada non ci sia il ring, si sbagliano!! se trovi chi fa boxe non sapresti nemmeno fermare un gancio, per questo è l'unica che insegna la percezione .. forse chi ha questa abilità risucirà a fare anche le tecniche di leva del krav magà, senza questa sono inutili.
Che Poema... comunque Grazie della tua Analisi : Ogni Allenamento SELF DEFENCE ha delle peculiarità interessanti..poi l'Applicazione nella vita Reale..comprende molti Fattori : " i Rischi" .. " il Coraggio" ..." la Fortuna "... in ogni caso..mantenersi in Allenamento ed esercitarsi è sempre utile per aumentare la Reattività nelle situazioni di pericolo.

in my country the Philippines they don't point gun they shot as they deploy the gun from there pocket or holster if the have one. the riding tandem does that, the only way to suppress this wicked people is for every to carry a gun and prepare for shoot out. you might be the best martial artist in the world but with one bullet you will kapot.

I would say that this is against all the KM principles, also even that this guys is saying that he trained unter Imi Lichtenfeld he wasn't chosen to be his successor in IKMF which is the original and trademarked federation. ***** Thank you 4 comment,we reply to explain a lot of things..To understand 100% the Krav Maga history & Martial Arts tradition of ISRAEL is necessary to go there..to study with Israelians and to find the right connections..to know really the Origins of the style.Originally..KM Students they wear Karate Dress with Coulored Degree Belts and Master IMI the founder had a lot of favourites students.After.. all students they began to teach creating their Schools & Organizations keeping the "bloodline"( The Name Copyright..is not all....the most important is to study to the fount..( with real Krav Maga Pioneers or Direct-Students ) Over the years..a lot of Techniques have evolved...and a lot of new "winning techniques" were introduced to improve the KM Power ( Firearms are evolved.. Fighting Techniques are evolving.. so Israelians have developed a syllabus/systema with the best techniques capturing from various combat styles . For Exemple ..Also Muay Thai was studied..the knee, elbow strikes.. come from 'experience of a European Master (jewish) that coached the Israeli National Kickboxing Team... KM original system got an evolution with the decades ! For exemple..the Baton/Stick counterattack coming from IMI experience.. today is taught only by a few schools'.. cause is not so effective ! In the coming years has developed another counterattack/ Defence VS Stick .. So... now the problem is....? we want to follow at 100% the tradition or we are looking for the the efficacy of the techniques ? ( this is a personal choice..) Krav Maga Civilian System ( Gym Student ) and Military System ( Army Student ) are different branches... We meet a lot of Instructors ( NOT IMI STUDENTS ! ) that they was/are serving in Mossad & Special Forces ( Swat &Navy Seals ) they are great teachers with Real War-Experience ! they can teach to you a Modern "Krav Maga","Kapap","Israelian Krav Panim"...very effective ! Today Krav Maga around the world becoming a business... the Israelis Masters respect each other and they all work for the same cause.. with different school names and logo.

Today a lot of federations they prefer to use Degree Levels, instead of belts system. - Which federation you train ?

piccolo errore tecnico, se tieni la canna di una semi automatica in mano mentre spara, smetterai di usare quella mano...
....guardando la situazione del video... si presume che l'Aggressore stia soltanto minacciando il soggetto.. e l'Arma è ancora fredda... La reazione dovrebbe avvenire in quel periodo temporale. - Se vogliamo approfondire..... Se l'aggressore dovesse premere il grilletto.......il colpo potrebbe fuoriuscire dal collo...e bucargli il braccio con cui lo teneva... ( questa situzione forse sarebbe piu' idonea con un Coltello...)

a una semi automatica con il colpo in canna se viene premuto il grilletto spara, senza se e senza ma. se tu tieni il carrello mentre parte il colpo ti garantisco che quella mano non la usi per un po'.

è allievo diretto di IMI Lichtenfeld, il Padre Fondatore del Krav Maga Israeliano. ( abbiamo visto le Foto private del maestro in Israele.. che ha studiato e si è graduato sotto IMI e ora insegna a WINGATE ).
Alla morte di IMI il fondatore .. è cominciato il Business KM e sono state create dai suoi Allievi Diretti, diverse accademie,associazioni e federazioni tutte con lo scopo di diffondere e preservare integra la disciplina.
Per meri motivi commerciali e di Copyright / Deposito del Marchio... molti hanno dovuto MODIFICARE IL NOME E LA PAROLA - MAGA .. ( in MAGEN e via dicendo..)

ITALYKICKBOXING Non discuto della tecnica del signore nel video perché non ho ancora un grado di conoscenza abbastanza elevato del Krav Maga per dire quale tecnica sia giusta o sbagliata. Per mie esperienze personali ho visto molti "istruttori" (conosciuti personalmente), che mi hanno fatto lo
stesso discorso che mi hai fatto tu e che alla fine del Krav Maga poco conoscono, quindi sulla storia dell'ignoranza degli italiani non posso che concordare (anzi, direi di fare anche attenzione a chi ti ha fatto il medesimo discorso), ma una foto di lui con Imi non significa che abbia appreso e imparato da Imi, se poi c'è la presenza di certificati originali con riferimento a un grado di preparazione adeguato (perché potrebbe anche essere uno tra i tanti allievi alle prime armi) allora non mi resta che alzare le mani. Però il problema è che non puoi venirmi a fare discorsi sul copyright perché in Italia, così come nel resto del mondo, esistono centinaia di federazioni/scuole/associazioni/ecc che hanno preso la parola Krav Maga e l'hanno utilizzata come volevano senza che nessuno potesse dirgli nulla. Non è che ora perché tutti dicono che fanno taekwondo allora io mi posso inventare il taekwendy, questo non fa altro che confondere le persone che si approcciano al Krav Maga e non misurerà il grado di preparazione dell'insegnante, ma non mi sembra neanche una cosa professionale.

Discutere e Confrontarsi .. è sempre positivo : IMI Lichtenfeld .. gli ha fatto Vari Esami di Passaggio di grado .. conosciamo altre storie ed aneddoti che ovviamente non possiamo raccontare qui. Il Maestro in questione viene una volta all' anno in Italia per Seminari, ma vive ed insegna in Israele dove addestra Forze di Sicurezza e Privati. Ne siamo Testimoni.. ed è molto rispettato e conosciuto li' , dove si muove per insegnare nelle principali Citta' israeliane. L'abbiamo visto all' opera durante un Corso di Addestramento per Bodyguard in Israele.. e gli abbiamo fatto visita all' Istituto WINGATE di Netanya : Scuola / Universita' ed Accademia Nazionale dello Sport in Israele nella quale è responsabile dei Corsi di Arti Marziali. ( parliamo di strutture Governative..) ITALYKICKBOXING In passato facevo parte di KMG e ora di IKMF. Dopo questa serie di informazioni non posso che alzare le mani sulle qualità dell'istruttore, fidandomi del vostro giudizio, ma rimango della mia opinione che sia sbagliato utilizzare un nome diverso per esprimere una cosa che un nome ben preciso ce l'ha già.
Ele Standpipe KMG che IKMF sono tra le migliori Federazioni Mondiali nel settore : IKMF è Ufficialmente la depositaria del Marchio KM di IMI, però anche Eyal Yanilov è Allievo diretto di IMI .. per cui anche la sua organizzazione KMG è pienamente legittimata. Ci siamo allenati insieme con Yanilov con il quale abbiamo fatto anche Sparring / Combattimento libero e con Avi Moyal durante un Seminario in Italia, che è a capo di un' organizzazione in fortissima espansione in Europa. Puoi trovare alcuni Video di IKMF sul nostro Canale .. che abbiamo realizzato x la federazione. Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto filmare KMG al Seminario in Italia..per una loro scelta tecnica..molto discutibile..visto che un po' di pubblicita' gratuita non fa' mai male.
