Ekaagra, finally i found someone who noticed that. It really shocked me at first then i started noticing the speed up. It made question my whole power generating capabilities. Still a powerful practice video though
Plays for UofL, arguably the toughest conference for D1 tennis, guy can be good, would love to see him play matches, hitting dead balls and playing live points are very different things. All the best to him
This was great, thanks, I have been researching "building your child's self esteem" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Elilan Coachify Domination - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got great results with it.
Have you seen Federer's casual training videos? Roger hits a lot harder and doesn't even look like he's trying, unlike this guy. This guy looks incredible compared to 4.5 or 5.0 level players but he's not even close to the average ATP level in terms of his speed and movement. Federer at age 37 is a lot faster than him.
ok, remember Taylor Dent? he's similar build and had a successful attacking style game. Unfortunately he was hampered by a bad back and underwent multiple surgeries.
My teammates from my high school tennis are joining the Louisville tennis team. Randy Wilson and Matthew Fung. We were state champions 2 years in a row.
Kelly Graves Training and actually playing matches are two completely different worlds. His name is Federico Gomez from Argentina ! height 6-2. Currently ranked 1702. Full name is Federico Agustin Gomez… Nickname is Fede or Gordo… Birthdate is Nov. 26, 1996… Son of Marcelo Gomez and Patricia Perez… Has a sister, Camila and a brother, Rodrigo… Major is sport administration… Started playing tennis at age three… Best player he has ever faced was Nicolas Kicker who was ranked No. 90 in the world - Federico lost 6-2, 6-2… Favorite tennis memory was getting his first ATP point… Post college ambition is to become a professional tennis player… Favorite tennis player is Marat Safin.
1:27 when he hits this forehand, it's almost like I'm watching a family guy gag, because I feel like the racket goes from the prep position to the follow through position in a single frame XD What an absolute rocket
He just hits powerful, he won’t hit 25 balls in a row like that in a match and his footwork is way too much of an effort, it’s heavy movement and too many steps that will make him very tired during matches + we will have to watch him play points and when changing rhythm as only hitting hard is not everything, his game is still very very strong though
For all people that are wondering how he isnt on the atp Most of the top 200 players when they train they beat the shit out of the best players in the world because they are so relaxed and just give 200% on every ball But when they come on the court they dont play so good Theres a reason why some people say-"if you play 70% of your training match youve done a good job" Top 300 guys are all the same skill level just 90% percent of them are mentally bad or have injury problems
nice drills...also nice to see a tennis player that doesn't look like a 130 LB marathon runner lol. This kid reminds of the BOOM BOOM Boris Becker days!!
I can't help but feel there's something fishy about this video - does anyone feel that 1:29 is sped up? Look at his feet and when he's serving - it almost feels sped up; especially at 1:50; look at how quick the coach's walking speed is.
Great video, really fun to see how intense the training is. And Federico has very impressive footwork for such a big guy. This video is also a great example of just how good pros are. Federico obviously has a huge game and tons of talent, yet he has virtually no chance of making it as a professional tennis player. I really don't want that to sound like it is taking anything away from him, it's just a fact based on his results.
Based on what did you say he doesn't have the chance to make it? For me it looks like this guy has been training in hell that the power and footwork goes into every shot is unbelievable. Howevrr what make someone a really good pro is playing with the same style and intense in the championships aka Good mentality. We haven't seen him playing for real in any other video so again based in what did you say he can't make it?
He was 6-7 at 3 singles and 7-3 at 4 singles for #35 Louisville last season. He’s likely around the 150-200th best D1 player, which makes him totally awesome compared to most anybody, but it doesn’t come remotely close to cracking top 1000 in the pro ranks.
David Sitko I've dealt with a lot of depression due to how i constantly had negative thoughts in the past about how it is impossible to achieve something when it wasn't at all . i developed my thoughts to think more positive and be optimistic throught the ups and downs ,thats why i got mad when you said he won't make it because i finally promised myself to not let myself or anyone down. Anywayy no one know what his future holds..
@@m.m5105 his footwork is not great, not because it’s lazy but he does too many steps when he could do less, that is what will make the difference in a match
He hits hard but it looks like he needs more topspin. His shots don't have much net clearance and he will suffer more mistakes and inability to create sharp angles.
sheephead3 exactly, no variety just hitting hard and conditioning. Possibly have him hit more ball landing in and changing things up as he knows he can inject more pace if needed
Check out UTR. As at the time you posted this, he was 25 wins 7 losses for the previous 12 months or so. FG is currently UTR 13, which is pretty good. All his matches are college level matches, except the last 2 tournaments, where he got to the semi, and the final, with an 8 win 2 loss record. That's pretty good, isn't it?
He has the same level of 330-550 ATP players. (He can win a couple of futures) But if he wants to go higher and do well in the challengers, he needs to lose 15kg and use more variety of shots .specially put more to spin for more clearance.. then he can get 130-150.. and then see what happens
Humm, so this is what it look like really close. Kudos to the camera crew. Seeing lots of up close up videos but this might be the best one. Despite all of the Power training athleticism excetera there's no guarantee that any player will do anything significant in the pros. It's just that competitive. On the other hand this guy and players like him would Step into the woman's tour and rise immediately to the top. These type of guys would also show up to the local neighborhood tennis courts and there will be casualties spewed all over the courts. Scary!
What incredible racked head speed and power! Really wasn't expecting that at all.. Great work & job all around 👍👍👍
These are off slow volleys tho. It's very different generating the same speed and spin and accuracy when the ball is coming at you faster
@@joshuarowe8410 it's actually harder to generate speed when the ball is coming slow cuz then u can just use the opponents speed and power
This video is sped up. I'd say by 7-10%
@@deepfriedoil you are stupid
Ekaagra, finally i found someone who noticed that. It really shocked me at first then i started noticing the speed up. It made question my whole power generating capabilities. Still a powerful practice video though
That serve is something else man
Jergus Krc do you know what racquet he uses?
Geko Okeg seems like babolat pure strike
Saw him play at a Challenger event. VERY talented player and hits the ball a ton!! He took first with his doubles partner.
Plays for UofL, arguably the toughest conference for D1 tennis, guy can be good, would love to see him play matches, hitting dead balls and playing live points are very different things. All the best to him
If this guy has any kind of cardio / endurance, he could be a big threat on the ATP Tour. He hits HUGE from everywhere.
Unless he works on been more accurate - not fast! - on his footwork he won't make it inside the top 50. Shame that his coach doesn't tell him
Have you seen Federer's casual training videos? Roger hits a lot harder and doesn't even look like he's trying, unlike this guy. @@victorp9575 you are comparing the best tenis player of history with this young player. It has no sense at all...
cant have that backhand on mens tour
What power in every shot. Would love to see someone of his body build do well on tour to counter conventional thinking
Is he too stocky or heavy-built, what does the conventional thinking say about this? He looks really solid and powerful...
Remember Roberto Carretero?
Nope! - Now I checked the guy. Career high 58 in 1996. Not that bad. This dude can be a top 20 player regardless of being built like a man lol
ok, remember Taylor Dent? he's similar build and had a successful attacking style game. Unfortunately he was hampered by a bad back and underwent multiple surgeries.
Too bad, man. Anyway, let's hope the best for this promising young and strong tennis player.
Its like watching a linebacker hitting the ball. Reminds me of roddick. All the raw power
1:29 jesus, that thing is a canon; i didn't realize firearms are legal in tennis matches.
Jerry Dalrymple Got some anavar hidden in the grip lol
Alika Pico yup i was thinking the same on that particular forehand.😆
WTH? That was punishing!,
How fast is he hitting? Must be at least 90 on the forehand and 100 on the serve
Vik Sinha those numbers are way to low my friend
This is how the players practice. That's great.
We're just starting a new tennis club.
I learn a lot. Thank you.
Coach really has some great volleys.
Yeah cuz hes a former tennis player
Dabul on The net. ..The best volley in The world. .He takes everythingh
Hahahaha
OMG!!!! The serve and the drive are amazing
It is very nice to watch. Beautiful shots. Thank you for posting this video.
1:22 What A serve!!!!
1:28 What a Forehand!!!!
Love to see him play for ATP .
Wtf... The coach doesn't even move and returns all the ball right where he wants with direct shots.... Scary 😱😳
THE COACH IS USING TEZUKA ZONE.
Ya, Brian Dabul took a few games of rf so he is pretty good
Scary....
He was a professional player. Played Roger at US Open. Remember that

Dabul is type of good coach. Still relax when he should to be getting hit by the strokes. Nice choice
The backhand accuracy at 3:05> Incredible.
Dude is hitting as hard as anyone on the tour
Very true
True but we'll see if he can hit that hard playing a match instead of dead balls...anybody can hit hard a deadball
Francois Leduc u can’t
Exactly
His idol is Marat Safin. =)
1:20 Jesus, that is a hard ball!!!
