Great video - I can certainly see everything I need to be able to do this on my RAV4. I noticed the the security light was blinking - did you leave the battery connected all through the process?
My switch is not working and it seems to potentially be a cable problem. When I open the panel and check everything, it switches between modes without problem, but when I put it back together, it stays stuck in whatever mode I leave it in. I haven't tried changing the switch yet, but in just mentioning the problem to a few other mechanics, they say that it would require a laborious and costly change of the cable that the switch controls. In your opinion, if I replaced that control switch (as you do in this video) do you think it would it solve my problem? If not, how complicated is it to change the cable and do you carry those parts as well? Thanks for your help!
This is great but how do you replace the cable that controls it. That’s the hard part. I can’t access the end that is under the dash next to the blower. It’s very tight.
Question, I have Toyota RAV4 I replaced the alternator and ac compressor both new and fill the ac up, I was told is this part what you just changed for ac not working, any ideas….
How do you replace the portion with the steel wired cable assembly that operates the damper door mode settings? The knob assembly side is self explanatory, however the other end of the cable that rotates the damper door pulley gear assembly is a mystery to me.
I have a 2015 RAV 4 XLE and the climate control turns on but it doesn't blow any air - both fans in the engine are working . What can be causing this issue?
+Ellis Tomago This procedure might be different for your application. We do not currently have a how-to video for this particular year, make and model. Thank you for asking! 1AAuto.com
So mine is different and the problem is when I tried to switch in different modes the air still coming from the vent it doesn’t switch at all in your foot in the defroster just in the front. What could be the problem. Is it just my switcher mode? Please help thank you

That's the way to make a good video. A+

I am having the same issue. I don’t really want to drop the whole blower motor to get it in either. Did you find a solution?

My 2015 Yaris is doing this. The parts look the same, so I'm guessing the procedure is the same?
