Man that looks magic Steve. Really looking forward to you kicking this kit. The donks are gonna be awesome. I think I’m as excited as you to see this built. 🤗👊🤘🍻
14:13 Really awesome review. One correction, that's the laser guidance section of the GBU-12. The warhead is actually that entire other section minus the fins on the back which is basically the donor Mk82 filled with just under 200lbs of freedom.
The raised and scribed surface details are VERY accurate! Nifty how they put all the "C" parts on one sprue which makes it easy for them to cover all versions with only detail sprues to add. Love the separate control surfaces and finally positional flaps! All this great detail so far but there are no avionics bays and separate doors or cannon detail. Weight prob zinc or aluminum. THANKS A BUNCH FOR THE CLOSEUPS!👍
Thanks for your comments. Personally, I'm not too concerned with the cannon being separate as the Hobbyboss kit is a nightmare due to that detail. That's just me. The only weak point is the actual barrel details, but that is easily replaced.
@@fuzzysghostmodels9840 I spent four years at the Fighter Weapons School at Nellis, working flightline, bachshop and in the phase dock. I am here to tell you that the detail in this kit is SPOT ON!
Ask models just released a gau8 replacement and those gbu31 are off in the nose profile. I plan on getting 2 soon. Where did you get those from China. Inquiring minds are curious.
Looks awesome. I've got the hobby boss kit lined up as a future build, definitely not as good as that but likely above my skills so am really looking forward to your build video. 😊👍🏻🤙🏻
Looks great, and great review!! The only negatives I might give it is the raised rivets and the no masks for the canopy. Other than that this looks to be a masterpiece
Just finished the Academy kit. Excellet detail, but the decals aren't great and the canopy just wouldn't sit down flush. It was a somewhat frustrating build with a nice result. I would love to give this plane a 2nd try,, but at twice the price this GWH kit is a hard sell.
@@fuzzysghostmodels9840 yes, now that you mention it, the wing connection seam and the opened break flaps were a nightmare. I relearned the golden rule of saving small, delicate part attachment until the very end. The single molded lower wing of the GWH kit was a wonderful choice.
Nice to see you again after a long time with new content
Thank you Marco! More to come.
Nice unboxing,.. the kit looks great.
Yes it does! I'm going to be digging into it very soon!
Very nice kit,enjoy.👍
Thank you!
Busy working on the new Academy kit - it has excellent detail but has some weird seams and injection marks that have to be dealt with.
Good luck with it. The A-10 has some funky shapes to it. Enjoy

Thanks James. I'm very excited to dig into this one. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the correction. I used to know more of this stuff when I was younger! I'm glad you liked the review and thanks again.
@@fuzzysghostmodels9840 thanks for posting!
hi very good review ! so no rivets on the wings ! it means they should have moldes as well ? thanks but in a fine kit!!
Thanks. Yes. The only rivets are the raised ones around the rear portion of the fuselage.
@@fuzzysghostmodels9840 thanks for answering me !! thank you sir

The 40 years + Tamy version is still being sold as a new kit . This is on another level , much better and more accurate details but pricy .
The contents of the GWH box are the most impressive for sure. I'll see how it ends up building.

The kit was ordered from Hobbyeasy.com. I am going to use the Master Models brass replacement for the GAU8.
@@bradpearson9466 MCC also make a GAU-8 replacement that is very good.
Make sure you have all your parts! I have a whole sprue N missing!
Yikes! That's not good. I'm okay with mine.
That's part of the reason it got the nickname Warthog, the back part of the fuselage is covered with rivets, or warts
😆

Thanks. It's a cool aircraft no matter which company makes it. Good luck with your build and have fun!!
Cool aircraft, the hobby boss seems a nice kit, it's more the builder I'm worried about 👍🏻😂
all i have is the old monogram kit.... no comparison
The Monogram kit still looks like an A-10 when built up, but this should go together much better.
Looks great, and great review!!
The only negatives I might give it is the raised rivets and the no masks for the canopy. Other than that this looks to be a masterpiece
BUT SUPPOSE THTA RAISED RIVET ARE THERE IN THE REAL ONE
Those raised rivets are correct!
Thank you for your explanation, I am a bee❤
I'm glad to have you aboard, Bee!
Really liked this in box review FuzzyGhost! I guess the chinese don’t know the 2000Lbs GBU is a bit much for the A-10 :-)😊
The A-10 can do anything! 😆 haha

I'm glad you were are to power through it and get it finished. Did you have any trouble with the mold parting lines on the engine pods or fuselage?

You from halifax or just representing?
Just representing. Great city!
