TCU beat Michigan to get to that playoff game against Georgia, they deserved to be there. The biggest problem was how good that Georgia team was they would have beat any team (they took seriously) by 30+ that year.

Yormacks only failure as a commissioner so far is not calling the Big 10 and SECs bluff when they threatened to start their own super league if not given multiple bids to the new format. When the first playoff has 4 SEC 4 Big 10 Notre Dame 1 G5 and 1 Big 12 1 ACC the ACC will be a dead man walking. It’s going to be disastrous optically.

He’s more normal and rational here because when he’s in front of a camera representing his main employer he has to basically play a character of himself. He’s more closer to his real self here vs on the clock at espn.

I listened to Feinbaum every single day for 16 yrs and will admit to actually enjoying his show quite a bit. I did move on to our friends at 365 Sports because they have a B12 focus for 3 hrs every day.
Now on your interview: I don’t know how you could’ve been more polite and professional without being a d*k than you were so nothing but respect for how you conducted the interview.
For humor: would I of luvd for you to attack Paul and his SEC arrogance? Quietly… of course I would. So again… much respect for your restraint and professionalism.

My takeaway from the show: “There is no integrity in college football.” I’m so glad I stopped donating to my Alma Mater and did not renew my season tickets on the 50. I could sense that the integrity was gone last year, but your guest is right: “there is no integrity in college football.”

He said nobody had done it so fast. He didn’t say it was the greatest turnaround ever, just the quickest. Still not sure if that’s true, but yes he did do it quicker. Snyder was several years in before he was winning bowl games and having a season with expectations this high. Whether or not Lance can ever get the program to the heights Snyder did in the late 90s and early 00s remains to be seen, but he has certainly turned it around faster.

I spent a summer in Alabama and listened to the Paul Finebaum show on my drive home from my internship for a lot of that summer. I'll give the hot take of just saying that I liked listening to the show, the listeners have almost their own lore and brag about how they're the best Paul Finebaum caller, and if you can just take the step back and laugh at it it's fairly entertaining, especially as you're driving down Alabama backroads with no cell service.

The reason Paul hates the Big12 is because he thinks every team is like what he saw in Stillwater. And he nailed it on the head - his intelligence was displayed by not bringing a coat to a game with freezing temperatures and sleet.

I will admit. I didn't think that Paul would interview with a Big 12 media outlet. He was okay because he just said that same talking points (the Big 12 should take the PAC-2, it would be hard for any conference to integrate FSU and Clemson). At least Paul didn't only diss the Big 12, I guess.

  • @Bigtill1999

You CANNOT blame the kids. When coaches are making millions per year the kids are often wondering why they’re not getting something. I read an article from 2023 and Terry Bowden who was at UL Monroe until the end of the 2023 season was the LOWEST paid FBS coach and still making $435K per year. That’s pretty good money. So yeah, the kids want something for their effort. If we want to stop it then cap the heck out of coaches salaries.

We should have the top 12 best teams and how does that work when the ESPN's no ain't no set conferences you know rigging the voting and and what's going on I never seen a team lose their last game in the conference Championship game and then get to play for the national championship like Alabama did against LSU there's a bunch of b******* when you keep a 13 and 0 team out that won their conference it beats Southeastern Conference teams and you insert to Southeastern Conference teams in in their place that have a loss there's something wrong NS ESPN and they've been dirty since Disney bought them
