Hey British brother! I bought a custom 96 defender from the UK and i cant wait until it gets to my driveway! Orange n black! I’ll be revisiting your videos for those mods! Thank you my friend!
Wow! I picked up my defender last Saturday and I have a lot to learn! I dont even know where to start haha probably like a 300TDI engine refresh though…. Any ideas?
Those wind deflectors mean i can actually close my window while driving at 100kph. One issue i've found with them is that they're not the best to look through. I have seat risers which means when i look out the side window i'm looking directly through them. A couple times i have not seen an entire car. Looks cool IMO.
I love everything you have done with Scout. I would like to make a recommendation for when you go tire shopping. Take a look at Cooper Discoverer STT PRO. They are very aggressive looking and I think would look great. Of course, DO NOT have raised white letters showing. Thanks for the video!
Looks like a beast. Couple of questions. I take it your a bachelor. If not how'd you get this by your wife? I need some tips mate. Have you done a price breakdown? Mods + vehicle, Sorry that's one of the 1st things we Americans, like to know. No worries if you'd prefer to pass on that info. Time to binge watch a bit.
I have purchased a Front Runner Spare wheel carrier and it does not work well. The installation and adjustment caused the tailgate door to shake even more. It is a hit and miss. I wish I saw your video earlier and got the ORE wheel carrier instead. Thank you for sharing.
I've heard a few stories similar to that with after market wheel carries! I've been really please with the ORE carrier, sorry you didn't see the video in time
Thank you! The glove box dash was bought from here - www.paddockspares.com/glove-box.html?gclid=CjwKCAjwm8WZBhBUEiwA178UnO9WR-EUaKS0RtdzmVC8IYa2j39VequII8ENbx539n3nUKcUhKZRMhoCijEQAvD_BwE
I was interested in your spot lights because I have a light bar mounted to mine... except that I haven't done the wiring yet because I can't decide on the best way to bring the wires down to the fuse box. I wanted to see if you drilled into the roof and what sort of waterproof interface did you have to use, where did you run the wires down to the fuse box, etc. And then I find out you totally bypassed that entire problem by running them inside the snorkel!!! My Defender doesn't have a snorkel. And, I'll be honest, I am _never_ going to wade in water deep enough to justify one. But, it's almost worth getting the snorkel just so I can use it to hide my light bar installation 😂😂
Yes! A bit of a neat way to keep wires hidden as I'm a bit OCD when it comes to that stuff. The cables then run through the grommet in the bulkhead, behind the dash and then down into the seat box
Hey mate. Cheers for the run through. Your defender is coming along nice. I am also upgrading my head unit to a double din, how did you result in a relocation panel without the circle and two additional button slots? I assume welding two plastic button holders together? Also, where did you purchase your light surrounds and grill?
Hey, thanks for the comment! I actually bought one from Defender Upgrades that came that way. The only thing I did was cut it down as I didn't have a need for 8 buttons. Here is the link - defenderupgrades.co.uk/product/land-rover-defender-double-din-side-panel-with-extra-switch-pods-matt/
The grill was purchased from Zunsport - www.carnoisseur.com/products/details/zunsport-upper-grille-to-fit-land-rover-defender-zld47807?gclid=CjwKCAjwm8WZBhBUEiwA178UnCo9n58WJzwlGAq9eWyuRRwcpa0FfI_Zu7DE5wxZ1mffG72Qvtp-IBoCBk4QAvD_BwE

Really great video and Scout looking super! Where did you get the “Defender” front and rear lettering?
Agreed. The ORE NAS rear step looks a great bit of kit. 😊

Great video, thanks for the info. How do you find the alcantara steering wheel? Would you stick with leather if you were to choose again?

@@ScoutTheDefender awesome thank you! Did you get your light surrounds from there also?
@@ScoutTheDefender thank you. This is great. Good point about so many switches and having to cut it.
