Hey my name is Carl, or Dozer the farmer.
Thanks for watching or coming to my content just message me on RUclips and I’ll try my best to answer. I am here to show you the day to day running of a Kiwi (New Zealand) farm.
We milk 260 cows at peak and run 2 beef blocks that support the farm with silage and letting the young calves graze up at the run offs both owned by dad. Grandad runs one and Dad live on the other.
I started RUclips on the 4th of April with the idea to show everyone what life and day to day running of a farm in NZ is like with the hope that people get a better understanding of where milk comes from and one of the families that love doing it.

Another great video. How many hectares and how many cows. What’s your calving date and when do you usually dry off

109hs with 270 cows. 200 cows and 70ha.
We are calving the 10th of July.
But possibly 50 in by then according to the LIC app.
We dry off the end of May.
So about 6 weeks off.

Mr crystal crystalfix easy concrete water tank pond fountain repair.
Great stuff. Wasn’t a cheap trial but worked great. Works out cheap since it worked. Was about $250. But can do a lot of troughs since it worked.
