My tip re: Express Pass: stay at the premier hotels. I know it was said in the video, but hear me out. We stay at premier and put 3-4 people in a room. Last time we had 4 people at Portofino Bay...$800 a night for the room (it was Christmas time, and there was an OI meetup, and some kid football/cheer competition going on). Even at that price point ($200 per person), we basically got the room for free. EXPRESS pass at (over) $200 a day per person... AND...with Express Pass, we are able to have a RELAXING vacation and stay one day less to accomplish all we want to do,...saving one more night of hotel, and another day of paying theme park food prices. Typically we stay 4 park days.
That’s a great tip! Gotta crunch some numbers and figure out which makes the most sense financially, but a very good tip!! Especially because with 1 night at the premier you get 2 days of express pass!
For those booking a Premier Hotel: Portofino Bay is undergoing major renovations right now. I just got back today. (04/17/23) There’s scaffolding from top to bottom, edge to edge along the entire bay side of the resort.
another good tip we did was using single rider queues! We went late July/August and the parks were so crowded but we skipped so many queues with single rider and alot of the rides were walk ons because of it... Plus alot of the times me and my boyfriend still got on the same ride xD I wouldn't try single rider with hagrids though

@@fudge_factor Absolutely! I love the parks. I visit the resort 2-3x a year and was only there for 2 nights, so my main focus was to get as much park time as possible. However, if it was my first time staying at a Universal Resort hotel, and I had saved up/spent thousands of dollars on a vacation, and I arrived to see it in the shape it was, I would be upset. There is a “Renovations Notice” at booking, however, it described “minor” renovations. Like I said, as a frequent visitor, not a big deal to me. But for the first-timer’s, I would not recommend for a couple more months. (Considering the fact that the prices are still high.)
You know what makes f&f worth riding while I'm down there. I ain't got it at my house. If I can do it here I'm not interested in it down there. Like parades and people singing and dancing. Even in the sticks of southern Ohio we have parades and if you drive around long enough you'll see someone in the middle of the road singing and dancing. They're methed out of their minds but it still counts
I'm planning a trip to universal this summer and booked a hotel. It's totally worth it for early park admission. Though I'm not rope dropping hagrid's. I'm going straight to velocicoaster to get multiple rides on it since it's the only time to get more than one ride with the least wait time during EPA.
@@fudge_factor i go for HHN every year in october you get the the full universal experience on non HHN nights and then of course you get to experience HHN october is a good time to go...im from ireland by the way so its a 4,100 mile journey 😂

Body Glide can be a life saver during the summer for chaffing.
