I had a blast night as well! We ate at a lot more places than the night before. We did meet the Grinch again at Honk Honkers; 100 minute wait, but it went by fast. The 9pm snacks and food took forever. Team members were still getting rid of day guests after 8 and 9pm. I think that caused a delay with the snacks.

Tried seeing you guys tonight at the informer are you guys talking to Tyler and I ran over to try and see you guys but you guys walked off hopefully tomorrow night Saturday I’ll be able to meet you guys. It’s on my list of things to do before I leave from Massachusetts.

My wife and I are planning our first trip mid Dec. We are staying at the Rosen International. I picked that hotel because it has a complimentary shuttle to the Universal parks and the reviews were very good. Nice price too. So if you have to stay off park, it doesn't hurt to look for hotels with shuttles to the parks.

And here we were just assuming that you lived in Orlando. Who knew?!

about the transport costs, if you stay near a universal hotel but still off site, you can still take their bus. They do not restrict those to hotel guests.

For the Ride and Dine, do you get to pick anything on the menu, or do you just get to pick from some appetizers/entrees/deserts that they have pre-selected?

I love the ollivanders wand ceremony! My brother and I got picked during my first visit to universal in 2016. It was the best experience. I still have my wand that chose me and have brought it back to the parks each visit 🥰

The meetup last weekend was great! I will be going to the Mardi Gras meetup as well. Like you all talked about, the drawback of the concerts/Mardi Gras time is the official later meetup start time on Saturday of 9pm. Also, will be interesting to see if the rides closing early will still be at midnight on March 1. Related to foods, winter rice is way overhyped; Holiday mac and cheese was the best! My cousin came for his first Universal trip. He had an absolute blast and is hooked on warm butterbeer and VelociCoaster. Have a great trip this weekend!

Just got home from the meetup a couple hours ago. The weather was great and the crowds were low. Great time. It's rough getting to bed at 2 am and getting up at 5 30 am to head to the airport

We love Porto as our main go to. Have to agree if it's your first, Hard Rock is gonna be hard to beat.

Great info! The little kids in Kings Cross video bombing had me cracking up 😂. I booked Aventura for my May trip. I did get the queen deluxe room. My coworker seems to snore when we’re there 😅 I’m hoping that it will separate us some so I can sleep. But we did already buy our express passes! We enjoy them for our short trip!

I like you guys and no bad here at all. but this is a pretty bad review of this hotel and I agree. everyone his own. but this hotel has nothing to do with if you like a "boozier" vacation. this hotel is the same as any other hotel in the country. It has a lobby bar, a pool bar and a roof top bar. We have been at this place a lot and never would I have said that this is for people who like their booze. It is still kids friendly. The view of the rooms are some of the best. you can even see the fireworks from Disney and the other parks in Orlando. Your secret at the end. Well we would like to keep it as a secrete but now since it is not anymore. it is the quickest way to get to the parks and no wait at all. security check is right at the boat and the time it takes you to walk to the park you get their with the boat at least twice if not three times as fast and that will make up for your wait time for a boat if their is any. that alone makes the perks for that hotel unbeatable for the price. Just hope they will never change that as more people find out about it.

Stayed last year and found ZERO faults with our stay. So much so we will be going back next year.

Great video! Agree with previous poster, Disney has erased most of the on-site perks, and even their value resorts are $$$, so off site wins for us. But Universal? Can’t beat the EPA+transportation. Stoked for the first December OI meet up!!! Hope to see you all if you make it to that one, or even just around the resorts! 🥳

we've stayed at the Double Tree over where you were. It's fine. We walk a path similar to what your doing but cut across some grass to the Portofino area. Pathway past hardrock and through that entrance. SO much easier than main entrance. We also stayed at something close to Doubletree and it was fine. I wouldn't ever say NEVER stay off site. We usually do Cabana Bay. We never do early park though...just not our thing.

The atmosphere, the people, the attractions, the events... what's not to love?

This video just makes me glad my nieces and nephews are a little bit older and can do most of the rides in the parks. My brother and SIL have good taste in books and are introducing them to HP, so they'll love Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Of couse, this means that I will get stuck in line for Hippogriff in the broiling sun, but hey, it's all for the memories, right? I really hope they enjoy Knockturn Alley, because the darkness and AC in the summer is 👌.

Up until recently, mid August, I had not been to Universal since I was a teenager. But me, my son, who is 6, and my parents went and we loved it. Especially my son. Got me and my son annual passes last month and have been going every weekend! I'm glad we waited to take him until now, because he's able to ride most of the rides being 4 ft tall

Okay...who now wants to watch Ben and Aub try to wrangle a 3 & 6 year old in the parks? I want a preliminary itinerary vs what actually happens, a planned cost vs actual cost (food, souvenirs, etc), ...give the parents of the kids a break and take the kiddos for a day!

If my millennial child ever gives me grandkids they’ll definitely be coming to Universal with me! I think they’d have to be at least 6 to start taking them there. I don’t ever see that happening though 😞. Which is ok too 🥰. But if it ever happens they’ll be there a lot 😂.

I just watched this (a bit late from when it was released) Getting by on $100 and feeding two people is really good for a day. I do splurge on a couple of snacks or butterbeer during the day.

Stayed at the holiday inn across from universal about 2 years ago. Only pro was the green trolly for other attractions on international drive was right out front. It was meh. A few weeks ago, literally when you were filming this me and my girlfriend stayed at Aventura and I'll never stay off-site again. It turned out to be around the same price and we used everything that came with it. Its so close to the water taxis and using that saves yours legs so much. Not going through the main security was huge too. Aventura was amazing.
