Bo Potter well, in my opinion, you can't set the original up to this, because they don't even write it the same genre, so while you can prefer it written as a rock song, it doesn't suck as an electric funk song, and if you don't like electric funk at all, than you can't really have an opinion for a song, written in a genre, that you don't listen to. that being said, when bands do a cover, its typically because they really like the song as it is, but want to try they're hand at it.
This song sounds rather strange when its not techno music playing with it. Vocal are good and all but i could never get behind covers like this when its on songs that are supposed to be more robotic than heavy metal guitars and banging on drums. But this is just my opinion.
