saying goodbye to my 2002 baby after 17 yrs of ownership, 289,000. still Luv it. sniff, sniff. Engine still good, body not so much, rust kills it in N.E. winters. Suspension still awesome on h.w. nothing like wishbone, easily cruised at 90 mph till 3 months ago - not bad for 20 year old. +/- manual shift on Auto T GREAT for downshifting. Nice option for automatic...just say no to manual in traffic. If you live where there's no salt highly recommend this car.

I have this car it's the honda iintegra type s from japan same k20a3 160 hp motor but 5speed manual it actually goes really well , but I'm lucky because the manuals and tidy are getting rarer ,but the handling is very good
Yeah the 160hp with 5speed manual goes really well still quite fast it's just obviously the high performance type s and type r stock are capable of 14.2 to 14.6 quarter mile , a base model 160hp with 5 speed manual is around 15.6 to 15.8 expect
Also if it's not a manual then give up on looking for after market performance parts.. believe me I've been there! Just like you said..GET A MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!!
Simply yes and no. Its computed rev match but will lag a sec when you shift i think it only lets you rev to what it set to. A manual is just better since it freely lets u shift when u want to.
@@mackcummy4976 you are correct. I read somewhere else that the 5 speed auto has the same gear ratios whether type s or not, yet it was never offered in the type s. Cool! I also seem to remember seeing an old rsx years ago that was type s but automatic. Maybe I’m thinking of the old integra gsr or something
I would pass my friend. Even if the car has been cared for, it has lived the better part of its life. In my opinion, no single car is worth the headaches because there are plenty out there. I could understand being stubborn in wanting to get a car you already have your eye out (I have done this plenty of times even if it didn’t make sense) but be patient, more cars will come.
Unless you want to replace everything Get a civic si same thing not revaged.. I say that because I hate rebadge for profit bs. Or go vt turbo and have a lot more fun. Or the n. Either way. Lots of hp gains for cheap after bought stock. It's a more refined srt4.
Should have went for a 2002 accord v6 manual. I used to have one and it was the shit. 0-60 in like 6 seconds stock. The manul are getting hard to find now tho but even the v6 auto is better than this car.
I've been driving this car as a daily for the past 11 years. It's a great car but keep your expectations in check.

I'm not a rev fan the automatic is great for me takes me a to b love this car! Sport shift i used when i pass or wanna show off a little!

There's a coin holder under the side mirror button also.. most don't notice it though

pfft drive a Type-S. I have a turbo Type-S. I had a daily auto RSX and it was slow even compared to the daily RSX-S I have now.
