Quality isn't that there are no imperfections in the paint (though you would expect that in a modern car). Quality is when it has travelled 300,000 kms with no major issues.
@@SteveJ-hq3jz 3 quarters of the way. I have an Mx5 that I bought new in 2003. It has travelled over 200000 kms with no major problems. It still has the original clutch. That is quality.
The idea of a car built by Mg with these doors and all the tech ….IF the car in anyway reflects the current MG line up then good luck if you ever buy one.
The big question is these are so cheap in China and expensive in the UK. So you are not getting a "known quality". You would be buying an Unknown Quality but at a highly inflated, taxed and imported price! Will it actually last? Will it devalue like all other MGs? Will it have laggy software like other MG despite its massive jump in price? As you are buying something that is around £35k to £40k but paying £55k to £70k for it!! Unlike a BMW that costs the same in Germany as it does in UK.
anyone who thinks a press car indicates customer quality is seriously fooling themselves... that said if its crap at the show car then you have very little chance for a customer car...

This has been discussed at length, and almost always the press car, lets take the Tesla Model 3 refresh for example, is indicative of what you will receive when you buy one. I understand the skepticism, and I am aware of various scandals pertaining to press vehicles. I've looked up close to too many EVs to count, and made close up videos in 4k with a few of them, and they clearly don't try to make a better version of what they will sell you. Thanks for the comment.
As soon as someone creates a set of retrofit rear lights to replace those ridiculous arrows, I might be interested.
I love the rear lights, nothing wrong with them.

I've never kept a car longer than about 40,000 miles. You're taking about driving half-way to the moon!

@@SteveJ-hq3jz You are a minority, most people do not buy a new car every week!
I'm buying day 1 of launch order goes in

However BMW are not the cars or quality they once were. They are crap beyond crap.
My brother has an MG and the quality is spot on.

This is why most (not all) press cars ARE what you get as a customer otherwise nobody will buy one - DUH!
