The GPS speedometer (the readout visible on the phone) is provided via a RaceBox, which is the small black box with a red "R" on it, in front of the passenger seat on the dash. All, or at least most, of the cars tested on this channel will record GPS verified times and avoid using the factory speedometer/manual timing equipment/timing equipment provided by the manufacturer. They used to use a Dragy, now they use a RaceBox. :))
Drove a Tesla Model 3 Performance for about 6 months as a Company Car here in Germany. That tops out at 263 km/h. In fact that was right on the momey also compared to GPS speedo.
Btw. there is reason why, poor British management and Poor build quality nailed last coffin in MG brand !!! To be honest this car now looks much better than anything that which came from old MG in last 3 decades.

The Toyota Crown SUV looks *a lot* like the Purosangue. The Ioniq 6 looks like a Taycan (still love though). And the new Toyota centuries look like they're made by Genesis, which is a newer brand in itself. Not denying that there are Chinese cars which do the same. But most larger brands come up with very original designs nowadays. And when people draw comparisons with non-Chinese cars, they're usually just looking to find similarities.

It was originally meant to be Union Jacks. If you look at the concept version, it was less "arrow-like". But I agree. Now it literally just looks like arrows. Not very nice. But the rest is great.
Imagine this as an R6/V6 3.0 Bi-Turbo engine.. I still like it though, even if it is electric. I just hope, this car will depreciate on the second-hand market.

I think it looks pretty good. Like older cars. 7:30 even the interior looks really good. Allthough im not a fan of the big displays as tachometre etc. but overall for an EV really nice, but nothing for me. a little ICE version would be cool. With a sporty 4cyl turbo engine like an alpine. 11:10 and the price is defenitely expensive if u compare it with other cars in that price range. This money can buy u a brand new 2025 Chevrolet Corvette! and a top speed of 120 mph for 69k is pretty sad, atleast for german roads. 15:50 especially if its marketed as an GT car.. and then its also 2 tons.. the numbers dont really add up for such a car.
I agree! They got most of it right but it needs an ICE engine (a 6 cyl would be pretty good tbh) and possibly be a bit lighter. And the price isn’t bad for what it offers but considering that it’s a brand that isn’t exactly known for expensive sports cars but more like for the cheap but nice suvs.😊

I would definitely get this over any tesla but over a BMW Z4 with the inline 6? I don’t think so, like it has a lot of fun toys and all but the choice of the rear design and dealer infrastructure isn’t that great. Also the 6 cyl from BMW is a real joy to drive while this is very quick but not that exciting. And the price, for car of a relatively new brand is a bit too much.
@@o_o-_-8639 It's great. I've had it for 2 years and 13000 miles. As a GT and daily ownership proposition I can't think of a better roadster. It does calm and relaxed, cruises well, but then in its more dynamic modes is full of anger and drama. As long as you don't expect a razor sharp steer with tons of feel it's a great all-round car. I've never wanted or needed more power either !
For the people criticising it because it’s Chinese, if it was made in England, it would likely be more expensive. The quality of this new Cyberster is also much better than MG’s of old. Some of BMW’s are built in China and shipped to Europe so I definitely think the stereotype of cheap Chinese built cars has changed. (From what we see in Europe). Great video!
We have tons of Chinese cars in South Africa and they are of far better quality than the European cars. So, honestly, being China-built is a good thing for me. 🤷♂️
you need the roof up to do the 0-100 tests. In a convertible to get full acceleration you cant have the roof down. There is way more drag beacuse of air resistance with the roof down. I had a Z3 convertible and the difference in acceleration was almost 1 second.
the cockpit design seems heavily inspired by the 2017 corvette but its hard to make something originally nowadays since there are so many cars on the market
I do get why people dislike the direction cars have to take (ev) but you can't deny that some of them are phenomenally good cars. I drive a c63 v8 daily. But I thoroughly enjoyed the i5 touring edrive 40. I will most definitely deeply enjoy driving a taycan CT. Maybe even buy a used one for a ridiculous discount (1 year depreciation is in part 70.000 euros! 45% in 1 year...)
I like it a lot. Seems like a grown up Miata. I do like the noise it makes but the cabin seems pretty quiet with the top down. Mercedes can learn from them how to make a button to take the top up and down.
Did they tell you why it doesn't go over 200 km/h? I feel like It could go really faster, maybe for battery longevity? Or autonomy? Needs an "Autobahn mode" for sure

Yep , ev's I dont care for one bit , so Max is correct on that....That being said this car is a looker and in that spec Classy. However , 500hp and 209kph top speed is lame af when added to 2 ton weight. So the actual thrill of speed last for mere seconds then done. Ye , I'll stick to ICE thanks.
EU laws cars must be electronically limited anyway its coming in. Most countries dont allow over 80mph...the cars clearly capable of 160+ mph. Its electronically limited
Carbio and electric. A good combination. As a rule, you don't drive long distances in a convertible. So the range isn't that important either. But the thing has endless power and is a lot of fun. The perfect car for summer!

Nearly 500hp and 200km/h top speed does not sit right with me. Yes it is electric, but some old 6 series for 7 grand will honestly shame it pretty fast after 200. Does not lose power either if tank is nearly empty. Though, health is more important than wants, that's for sure.

Yep , ev's I dont care for one bit , so Max is correct on that....That being said this car is a looker and in that spec Classy. However , 500hp and 209kph top speed is lame af when added to 2 ton weight. So the actual thrill of speed last for mere seconds then done. Ye , I'll stick to ICE thanks.
EU laws cars must be electronically limited anyway its coming in. Most countries dont allow over 80mph...the cars clearly capable of 160+ mph. Its electronically limited

3.47 seconds with the top down! A little misleading as all cabriolets will be slower with the top down.
Carbio and electric. A good combination. As a rule, you don't drive long distances in a convertible. So the range isn't that important either. But the thing has endless power and is a lot of fun. The perfect car for summer!

Nearly 500hp and 200km/h top speed does not sit right with me. Yes it is electric, but some old 6 series for 7 grand will honestly shame it pretty fast after 200. Does not lose power either if tank is nearly empty. Though, health is more important than wants, that's for sure.
